General Discussion / Re: FA CUP

gs50 At last someone on the same wavelength, keeper 6ft 5ins should be commanding the penalty area let alone 6 yd box, no better than previous
keeper good shot stopper but must be more aggressive in the box and actually want the ball. Shot stoppers you can go over the park and watch kids
doing that. Why on earth premiership keepers need a coach is beyond me they have in lots of cases been with the club since they were 8 years old.
Sorry if I have upset anyone .  :oldman"

Does anyone remember in the 50's senior amateur games televised in black and white ? 2-5000 gates at this level as players could earn more
in a day job than they could by turning Pro. plus exceptional expenses.

Interesting article in the i newspaper today on Frome regarding their survival on gates much lower Lynn.
Worth a read if you can get hold of it.
Stay safe everyone .

It would be interesting for Admin to publish some of the posts from posters following promotion last year. It's been a fantastic season so far and beyond belief in my humble opinion and always felt under financed.
The thought that clubs with half Lynn's gate purely shows what can be achieved should you involve supporters and the local community.

At the end of the day promotion to the National League would  be a step too far for the current Leadership.

I have played professionally and deemed myself a failed professional but that's another story. My one regret is not acknowledging the supporters, it was game over couldn't wait to get home not realising what it would have meant for the players to show their face. I am now 82 so you can realise how many years ago that was.

Well done to the players and support staff .

Stay safe

KIEREN SHIPP  I've only seen Kieren once and that was playing in the Norfolk cup final at Carrow road,
I was really impressed with the lad and by that performance I would have thought he would be with
the first team now, what's gone or went wrong ?
