General Discussion / Re: Dear Mr Cleeve

Just the 11.6% down from last season returning would be a start?  :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
From what S2S has said, I wouldn't put money on it Griss. If his views are typical then it looks like some fans are prepared to sabotage their own club. The idea that people would deliberately choose a course of action that could end up causing damage to something they value defies belief.
Strange times we live in Griss!

Perhaps some of us aren't sabotaging 'our' own club! I got fed up of increasing ticket prices and food and drink prices and found other things to do on a Saturday, now running my own team and that's my fix of football every week. Easily done.

A certain Jack Flanaghan has posted on EVO Stick South Facebook - I dare not repeat it but if someone said that about me I would soon see him in court. Libel?

Firstly, spell my name correctly, genius.

Secondly - Libel - a published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation; a written defamation.

What I said was true, the man is a crook - previous cons confirm this.

And a snake - the way he treated Setch shows this.

I think before you start naming on here, and trying to shame, West Lynn Mike, you want to learn the definitions of the words you use.

And lastly, how did you manage to see my post on Facebook and still spell my name wrong? That shows to me the full extent of your capacity.

Perhaps he would make a good director of football at Lynn?

Thanks Marcus, just something that has been on my mind for a while - and it seems like it's had a positive effect.

So how many members does the Trust currently have?

6
the Trust are not a KLTFC supporters club.  that would be the FOTL.   :banghead;

So the Trust isn't a club of people who claim to support KLTFC and wasn't set up with the intention of being a group of KLTFC supporters?  :dontknow:

But nice to see many people have very little idea what the Trust actually want from the club?

As a disclaimer, I never did subtract from the work the Trust do in the community - they are doing a great job.

The B&G Supporters Trust is now (nearly) seven years into it's being - and in all honesty I struggle to see where it's going or what it's ambition is?

From what I've gathered, the Trust have never really supported the club in any way shape or form - they seem to think that the club owe them something before they are willing to help. As Marcus Rose said on another post ''The trust has some money. He [Stephen Cleeve] knows what he has to do to get his hands on it.'' What is it the Trust expect from Mr Cleeve? Is it the rumor that was thrown around with Buster that they expect a seat on the board? Or is it something else?

It has always seemed to me that the Trust was quite happy to raise money in the expectancy that one day something would go wrong - don't get me wrong, I feel it is great to have a contingency plan - but why not help the club that you are supposedly there to support? (That being said, many of the original trust members have turned their backs on the club).

I have felt since Buster first got the club (and still feel) that the Trust have just played sour grapes over the fact that they did not get given the club by the council - and that is why they refuse to try to support the club in any real way.

When Mr Cleeve took over the club - it was a new start for all. Why did the trust not make a conscious effort to get involved with the club. It didn't have to be a huge effort - but why not offer there services to help the club in any way that they could? Or if they did, why did they not bother to tell anyone.

The worst bit for me, is that the Trust still make out that they are a KLTFC supporters club - but do very little actual supporting.

Now, I know I'm going to get a backlash for asking the questions, but in all honesty I just want to know - and I think many people do.

But the thing is - in seven years from now, is the Trust going to be sat on 100K (based on the 50K figure that's been thrown about) that's been raised in the name of King's Lynn Town FC but still not actually supported the club in any way.

There's a chance to build bridges like never before under Buster - does it make no sense to start building?

EDIT/DISCLAIMER: Nothing here takes away what the Trust do for the community - they are doing a great job.

Hugely honest, and emotional by Setch. Now the dust has settled, we are only three games in we need to keep the faith, he's not got it wrong too often. If we do lose I'm sure there will be lots of people on here who haven't been at the game sharing their opinions though.

Just out of interest would the Trust have the funds or the acumen to step in should need be?

I thought that Liam had another decent game, and was unlucky to go off so early!

I'll buy a coffee at the ground tomorrow because I'm not stingy over 50p once a week.  :scarf:

Or if you look at it in real terms (if I buy 2 drinks each for me and my Dad per match) an extra 2 a match over lets say the 25 home games we will play. An extra 50 a season, hardly being stingy is it?

Bad day at the office, started with overpriced drinks. 4 for a can of coke and a coffee?

Team lacked shape and any real quality. Stevoo provided moments of quality but other than that we looked poor. No final ball, no cutting edge at all. And at the other end of the pitch we had no pace and Sam looked out played all game by a very sharp looking Gregg Smith.

Quigley looks like a very poor replacement for bridges, can tackle yes - but can't pass the ball for love nor money.

Hopefully there will be some improvement before the start of the season....

Any news about Conor Marshall who spent most of last season out Injured?

The question was asked - seems like he is back in training (or will be soon enough) and will be in recovery up until xmas and we should see him in the new year.

Hear that all of those wanted from last seasons squad have resigned ................ Hopefully true. Things certainly moving at a fast pace

Hopefully not true... Stevo, Miller, Smith, Bridges and Zielonka would all be big misses!
