6 unbeaten. Starting to resemble the Gary Mills Great Escape, sadly minus the mass Klinsmann dives  :oldman"

4 unbeaten since the horror show that was Curzon at home. Something that no-one who witnessed that would surely have thought possible.

Win at home, draw away. We just seem to be doing it the other way around. Something that hopefully continues on Tuesday night.

Surprised that after how unhappy AL was with Saturday performance he has gone with the same starting 11.  Shows a lot of faith.  I guess after turning over Scunny last Tuesday the players got a free pass from Saturday

Is it the same starting XI as Saturday? I thought Oke and Rogers may have started on Saturday instead of Coulson and Smith, both of whom return tonight?

That scoreboard has to be the biggest waste of money ever. Would have been better investing in the team. There is only those who are in the area of the main stand who can see it.

You're not missing anything! It's been broken for weeks despite Chairman's programme notes for the Stortford game making it sound like it would soon be back up and running

I do remember someone telling me from Radio Norfolk that some of the programme content updates were done from London but I agree with all who are saying that the information there should be correct.

If true, that would explain it and would also, I guess, fit the BBC centralise strategy. Feels like there has to be some internal disconnect at play rather than Mr Bowler just changing his mind on a Saturday morning!

Thanks Mark. Always good to hear from someone 'on the inside' so to speak. I think you've summed things up perfectly.

Admin has hit the nail on the head however. Why advertise a Lynn away commentary during the week only to then choose a different game when the weekend arrives? 3 times this season now, so far from a one off.

It's just annoying that it is put on the Radio Norfolk website schedule that they are covering the match (I checked yesterday) and then change their plans.
Ironically the Wroxham match is off!

Plenty of time to adjust plans and get the commentary team to what looks like the only fixture above step 7 still on in Norfolk today, Sheringham v Norwich CBS in the Norfolk Senior Cup. Or perhaps dipping into the Anglian Comb!

Wroxham v New Salamis, 9.45am pitch inspection, according to Isthmian website. Still time to make it to Stourbridge?!

It will be the 3rd time this season, when Norwich have no game, Lynn are advertised as the Saturday commentary only for commentary of a local Norfolk game to prevail. In truth I suspect there was never any intent on covering the Lynn game - after all if they didn't travel to Peterborough 2 weeks ago (choosing, I think, Dereham v Fakenham instead), what chance a trip to the West Midlands today?

BBC Radio Norfolk, like most other local BBC radio stations, has been subject to significant cuts in recent months. I think the breakfast show is now the only dedicated weekday programme for Norfolk, everything else covers the 'Eastern' region. I did understand, however, that local sports coverage was to remain unaffected. Saturday 2nd December, Norwich have no Saturday game and Lynn are at home to Banbury. That may be an indication of where priorities lie - if they choose to broadcast from the Walks or opt for, perhaps, Mulbarton Wanderers instead.

Fully agree with the Cybulski comments. Second half, a more selfless 45 minutes you'll struggle to see. Talk about playing for the team.

A couple of positives from the gaffer for me. Firstly I was surprised to see the same XI named that had lost at home only 3 days previously. History suggests you'd expect at least one change. But no, the manager backed his players and they responded.

Secondly, the way we let them have the ball and defended the final 3rd in the second half. Possession stats for that second half must have been nigh on 80% Scunthorpe! In a modern world that seems still obsessed with the "high press", AL backed the team to sit back and, despite being on the backfoot, it never really felt like we were hanging on at any time.

On to Stourbridge in the Trophy. Clean sheet would be nice. If there's one criticism recently it has been the poor quality of the goals we've shipped (header from a corner yesterday and a series of errors on Saturday). But 1 defeat in 6 says we're heading in the right direction. How well have the 2 loan lads fitted in by the way?

Key named on the bench for second game running today. Who is he please? Couldn't see any mention on the pen pictures page.

and Benefer saved a penalty

Taken by Nigel Clough?

Who was the first choice Keeper in those days?

Wasn't Benefer the Reserves Keeper?

 :dontknow:

Billy Millar

Just had a listen to the Managers appraisal on last nights performance.  He knows there’s lots to do.  Didn’t realise the Wimbledon loaner had been sent packing back to his patent Club.  What a tool.

What's the story there?

At least 5 of last seasons squad have moved up a level.  Prior to that Taylor, Blake Tracey, Norman and Carey have all gone to League Clubs.  There  is a clear path.

Can add Ethan Coleman to that list; left us during second NL season to join Orient in the EFL, now at Gillingham
