A win would be useful today. I am watching Farsley v Curzon today hoping that Farsley get at least a point. Incidentally, there's a bucket for Farsley donations at the entrance.
See Lynn have an attacking line up today 6
General Discussion / Tonight's results« on: April 08, 2025, 09:59:48 PM »
Spennymoor won 3 nil at Curzon and now a point behind Lynn. All teams now played 42. Some interesting fixtures on Saturday . Scunthorpe and Kidderminister to win would be useful for Lynn and of course we need to win.

I along with 1000+ others made an investment yesterday.
It was £19 plus whatever the profit on the bottle of coke was. As well as the Lynn supporters attending the next two home games 1000 plus Scunthorpe and Chester supporters will be " investing". Hopefully, with Buxton ( helping Farsley out) only 3 hours away and Needham Market even nearer no overnight hotel fees will be needed for the team. 8

Buxton are full time. Three big home games to look forward to . Hopefully big attendances as well. Imagine Chester and Scunthorpe will have a big away following ( the recent game between those two attracted over 8000 supporters!!)

Well that was a good watch. An excellent win. Many good performances. For me Cody Johnson was man of the match. Our goalkeeper isn't bad either!

General Discussion / Buxton« on: March 22, 2025, 12:35:37 PM »
Important to win if play off aspirations
are to be kept. Buxton are looking forward to this. Beer at £4 . a pint and their manager very enthusiastic about welcoming the Linnets!! Warm in Buxton ( no snow) £10 admission for supporters of senior years. Tried to find ALs preview of the game. The " lynn News" article was just a rehash of what he said a week ago after last Saturdays game ( which I sadly missed. ) . Let's hope altitude sickness is not used as an excuse if today doesn't go well. 11
General Discussion / Re: Linnets drop to 7th.« on: March 03, 2025, 03:34:49 PM »
If Lynn can replicate Saturdays performance a few times they should be OK. It's a tough run in, particularly the home games which are all against in form teams. Very attractive home fixtures which should attract good attendances.

Gold would score some goals if he had decent service with crosses etc. He had one chance the other day getting on the end of a long throw in. Also don't forget the contribution he makes defensively. It must do wonders for his confidence if he bothers to read the negative comments on here.

General Discussion / Re: Lynn share the points.« on: February 02, 2025, 11:33:15 AM »
Radcliffe are a good side. Winning the Northern Premier league and also having some good results this season e.g. at Scunthorpe, Brackley and South Shields. Another interesting result yesterday was Curzon who had to rely upon a late equaliser for a point against Rushall. Their manager gave a short interview after the game; unlike the protracted interrogation of AL. For our manager's part he could have acknowledged the appropriate support given by nearly 800 fans! The booing yesterday came from a vociferous minority in the main stand at the end of the game ( Can i suggest that the stewards actually check tickets to see that people have paid to sit) I spoke to two fellow spectators in the second half who had spent the first half behind the goal and had moved into the stand for a better view in the second!
I don't know who got our man of the match but for me it was Josh McCammon. 14
General Discussion / Re: Joe's visit« on: November 07, 2024, 01:28:17 PM »
Perhaps Joe wanted to experience the delights of British Rail in which case he is lucky he didn't chose the Chorley game. Standing room only on the train to Manchester after the game ( should have been 6 carriages and was only 3) and then no trains in or out of Piccadilly ( Manchester) for most of the evening due to a "tresspass" incident.

General Discussion / Re: FA Cup« on: November 04, 2024, 08:54:42 AM »
The most memorable fa cup game for me was being taken to Brighton in the sixties for a game full of goals! Brighton 10 Wisbech 1 ( Graham Lawrence scoring for Wisbech if my memory serves me correctly.)
