One of the results of the season so far?

Disappointing to concede a last minute goal on Saturday, behind twice and come back to win 4-2.

We're not a bad team really.

IC said in his interview after last nights game, he's hoping to have a permanent signing in by Saturday.

Smith another 4 weeks out, Fryatt awaiting an MRI scan.

Ward would be a good signing. If it's him!

Seems to some this running a footy club is easy ... just because an extra 400 doesn’t mean all paying £15 + ( students kids concessions a lot cheaper) then the added stewarding etc all come at a cost plus there’s still bills to pay , few extra pints and pkt off crisps is going to get you much !
Love the fact how one bad day at the office ( to some ) suddenly lets all start knocking the running of the club .... I trust in SC and IC and like many have said storm in a tea cup

Good post Bluboy

The same club official in his programme notes said he hoped for a 10th - 12th place finish. Should I take it that’s the clubs view?

Also, with regards the crowds I personally only take it as true if it comes from the chairman. He’s not told us what attendance the budget is based on?

At the beginning of the season did not Mr Cleeve say that his break even attendance would need to average 750/800?

Grissles, if my memory is correct, I think you have got the correct figure, but the wrong  Club Official.

It was also an opinion, not a fact.

Does that mean that everything we are told by a club official is just an opinion and not a fact?  :dontknow:

It’s up to you what you want to believe.

Glass glasses or not allowed on terraces , fact. If glass glasses were used in the bar they'd have to have someone permanently on the door to stop people taking then out.
As for the queues issue, get there a bit earlier, simples.

I have never had to queue at any other ground at our level?

I have. Slough away season before last immediately springs to mind.

Attendances are banging in at 38% above Mark Hearle’s suggested min requirement.  Can only see that figure going higher with the quality of Football IC and his squad are serving up.

38%? I would call that pretty good after 5 games!

Hopefully, now the "summer" is over and we approach the autumn the high gates will continue. Word seems to be getting round that this is a team worth watching.

If you've ever seen someone "glassed" then you might understand the reasoning behind it. Mind you if its as expensive as some say they wont be able to afford to get p**sed.

I agree, let's price the drinks out of reach so people don't spend in the bar, all the hard work in the club house just so people can go in and look. Thank god you're not in charge of marketing!

The amount of people coming out of the bar & standing on the terraces with alcohol suggests that they're not being priced out.

I agree Paul you can’t throw just anyone into the mix. Just feel Gash is so instrumental into the way we play that he needs looking after.  Maybe a player of his ‘type’  could be on the shopping list to share his work load. He has played a lot of Football over the past 4 weeks.

I'm sure IC has thought of every eventually and planned for it - would be hard to replace Gash long term though if anything happened.

Expectations certainly going up quickly. Better start than almost every Lynn fan thought.

With gates improving, and the FA cup starting soon, hopefully the feel good factor will continue.

I'm sure if Ian feels he needs a player, the chairman will back he where he can - that's one thing you can't criticise Mr Cleeve for, he's always back the manager when it comes to players.

Current squad as good as I've seen at Lynn - no major changes needed unless a top top quality player becomes available? And then he would need to fit into what seems a really tight nit group.

In non league football the real money spinner is the fa cup. We need to put out best team available.

Totally agree. Personally I love a good cup run and like you say, potential to bring several thousand pounds into the club.

There you go Mr Chairman: better beer; cheaper beer; proper glasses made of glass; more staff; smaller queues and then you might get some of the more discerning pub drinkers in the B & G.

Time to start listening, pathetic after the game, win and go top of the league and three fans stay for a drink after?  :banghead; :banghead; :banghead;

Not everyone can stay after a game, especially on a Tuesday night. I know I couldn't last night as was giving a couple of people a lift home.

Bar looked fairly busy before the game? As it has for all the home games so far this season.

Interesting that the main person who (rightly) complained about the bar still talks more about the Napier.
