Just a huge shame that your well delivered stats were not about something important , an example would be the re-opening of schools ...football should wait..

Wow , what a ramble, what is "cos"? A Greek island I hear. I simply posted my delight that Lynn are playing for the cup, as best they can. Your bitterness will not change that. When totally wrong, that is just how it is. Well done Kings Lynn.

Very happy that the club keep putting the team out. Recommendations prior to the Alfreton game to submit a "cup" side, due to fatigue and injury risk are hushed. Good revenue and some fine, two pronged, entertainment awaits. Well done to all!! the draw beckons...

Away transport statement
September 29, 2019

The club have been made aware of matters arising from a coach, chartered independently from King’s Lynn Town FC, that yesterday travelled to York City carrying supporters for our National League North fixture.

We have it on good authority that when the coach arrived at a motorway service station the organiser of the coach was approached for the balance of money to cover the cost of the coach hire which the person was unable to provide. It was made clear that if the monies were not provided the coach would be returning back to King’s Lynn. It was at this point that a regular supporter, known to the club , paid the balance of the money ( a large amount) so that the coach could continue on its journey, which it did. Clearly this is a very unsatisfactory and disturbing situation.

The club wishes to distance itself from the person who chartered this coach and again clarify  the person  is  not officially affiliated in any way to King’s Lynn Town FC. We also wish to advise supporters  wishing to use official coach/ minibus travel  to contact the following people: Mark Mortimer, Matt Hannay or Jamie Heaphey. They are always contactable via all social media platforms and at the ground on home match days.

The next transport arranged is currently for Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday 26th October, any FA Cup ties pending.

We will be contacting the person responsible for the coach on Saturday  for an explanation to the circumstances surrounding  this incident  and to also express our wishes that he runs no further coaches to King’s Lynn Town football club fixtures.

We offer our apologies  to any supporters who were alarmed or upset by Saturday’s events.

Good impartial BBC Radio York praised Lynn for the football they played with no sign of fatigue, there was no player investment in the cup? Lynn have played 3 tough games in 7 days and should be proud of a Draw, Win and a loss to a full time outfit. Any suggestion that the cup matches led to this defeat, is as daft as the idea of resting pre Alfreton. Well done Lynn for a good weeks work. Next time a player gets an knock in a League, or cup game, we should assume he should not have been there, AND WOULD NOT BE INJURED IF HE WAS NOT PLAYING FOOTBALL!!! . League and Cup, both vital to this club at the moment.......

You started the thread because you believe a cup run could be negative for the club, and that you feel the players need a rest. This is just silly, as confirmed by the more positive responses available here. A cup run can only be good, even the potential of TV rights if the run gets going.

KES80..Reality is, the club is managing resource, the starting line up was within the expectations of most, as best available. This is good for the club and players, as I said FA Cup funds might be very useful if the squad frailties you refer are real. What do you want and expect? another Gash on the Bench? another Marriott on the Bench, Get real. The club is doing so well , but still not good enough for you. I understand your passion, but the concerns you have are not valid or realistic.

Nice to see the team out in full...the replay not ideal , but match fitness should be strong now , and barring injuries this team can maintain momentum. The FA cup is very prestigious at this level, and must be treated as such, win this tie and the next round, you have sponsored another decent player without adjusting the budget.

This is so basic...these are young fit men who have not played for 7 days and will not play, again for 7 days...surely you older guys recall being young and fit..A game every 3 days is reasonable, so why are you suggesting resting? To much TV watching, there is no risk of fatigue in this sequence of fixtures, injuries a different story.  How to protect against injury and fatigue are two very different things . One is not possible, the other not required just now . Play the game with the team!!!!!

Is this all a little  hasty? Carried away by the promotion success etc , why is the club making these announcements so soon? Surely they would have needed more time to review the likely squad structure, and what that will cost prior to this. It is almost certain they have only just got back to the ground after the wonderful occasion in Warrington and much number crunching remains incomplete. Positive , it may be, but the message is wrong, and a concern.
