I've just remembered. He was always after my sweets at school but never handed out his own...ever. Has he changed ??

Having gone to school with Nigel, he certainly was a legend even then. Sadly all the blond hair has gone (as mine has too ).

The idea of opening up the bar for visiting supporters to Norwich is a good idea although (and this might be my age) the old bladder would be suffering by the time I got to Norwich.

I don't know the Chairman and I don't have a clue what his character is. However he has stayed through this very difficult time and no doubt put a lot of his own money into the club. He is unlikely to get any out. Some of the so called fans on this forum seem to spend all their time bitching about what he has done or, in their view, not done. Please stop talking and writing this squit. Get behind the club and lets keep on a troshin. If your faver has got a dickey bor then you can comment, otherwise stop.

General Discussion / Re: Halifax v Kings Lynn.

In common with comments so far, attacking we looked good and we played some nice football. Definitely lightweight in defence as Halifax pressed. Overall I thought that we have the makings of a good National League side if we can finance it. Mind you, I only played in the Lynn leagues on the Fens so what do I know. !

All this speculation is once again a result of the NL not providing leadership and giving a clear directive as to the season. I suspect they are watching developments to see how clubs react to the current situation before they finely rouse from their slumber and do something .

Afternoon

Thanks TonyM for trying to clarify the relegation situation. I can see that as the NL are involved things will be delayed and confused. No change there. Cheers.

Can any of my fellow supporters please clarify whether there is relegation from this league this year ?

In common with everybody else who writes on the forum, I do not know what state the finances are in. I assume that money coming in is very limited whilst some costs remain and therefore the chairman has had to continue to financially support the club. This can not go on for ever. What is important to me as a continuing supporter from the 60's is that the club must survive.

If this means finishing the season today and incurring some sort of penalty from that shambles at the National League then so be it, but survival is the main thing. If we have to drop a division or two, that will be disappointing but we will rise again as we always do.

Clearly more important things are happening in the world outside of football, but this club is very special to a lot of people including me.

What the National League management are doing is a repeat of the confusion and prevarication of last year when the ability to make a decision seemed to have passed them by. Clubs need certainty. If it is bad news then decide it and communicate it , don't procrastinate.

General Discussion / Re: Home vs Wealdstone (27th Oct)
« on: October 28, 2020, 07:55:25 PM »
Come on fellow supporters. Lets get behind the team. We all know that this is a 'consolidation' season where Lynn establish themselves in this tier. The manager is vastly experienced and we will learn from our mistakes. We may not finish top, but we will stay up and next season challenge for higher places.

It is so sad when so called supporters turn on players and others because the results have been disappointing. I wonder how many have actually played football at a high level? My guess is very few. I played village football on the fens and my skills lay in running after the 'booted' ball as it disappeared into the neighbouring fields in an attempt to protect myself from hypothermia in the cold winter fen blast.

We lost again, but we still love Lynn. We will learn, develop and improve as the season goes on.

I'm a bit sad, but I have been looking at the weather satellite all day. Most of the heavy rain in going 'up north' i.e north of Lincolnshire and then dropping down west.. At the moment it does look like it will be rain on and off locally for the next few hours ,but there is heavy rain out to sea which will probably turn up nearer kick off.

See.. I said I was a sad case ha ha.

If the points per match regime is adopted my rough calculations indicate that the top 5 places remain the same except Lynn swap with York. For the sake of fairness, one hopes York then get through the playoffs
