The steward I spoke to at half time was not a volunteer he was a sub contractor from an events company.

Please see my post about Stewarding on Tuesday, I have been standing on the North terrace for 20 odd years +, You can't hear the PA there anyway. The Hi viz stewards who have never been to the walks before, just randomly put tape all over the place intimidating the youngsters into bunching together !!! When we playing in front of 400 a few years ago there where hardly any youngsters coming to the games, now there are here we have idiots in Hi Vis who take these "guidance/rules" too far, a more common sense approach would be, where money was spent on local people used as stewards and The PA system up graded so it can actually be heard on the North terrace.

You where clearly not at the game, we arrived all spaced out mask wearing on the North Terrace, only for hi vis steward who was in charge even admitted to me that he had never been to the Walks before, herded us all together by his intimation behaviour by putting tape randomly all over the place.

What happened to the local steward Noddy ?  The PA on the North terrace has not worked for years, no one can hear anything unless it is almost silence.

There is no excuse for pitting on the lights while the game is still on.

:scarf: It was great back in the north Terrace singing for Lynn, great for Burrows to get the goal, it was clear the team played for the crowd. me and my  sons really enjoyed the game.

However the evening was spoiled by the marshalling by stewards at half time, who put tape all over the place with no explanation, it seemed they seemed on intent of inciting us to cause trouble and then at the end they strung out on the pitch in a line facing us on the terrace, what on earth is that all about, I've been standing on the terrace with my sons for about 20 years and never seen any trouble, even when we had 4000 v York, the north terrace are where the die hard Lynn supporters are, who make the biggest sound and have great banter, and where there is n ever growing away support from and then they switch on all the lights on 5 mins before the game ends !! Do they want us to come back ? Put a daft old bloke in High vis jacket and they become idiots.

First there is no scientific evidence to show wearing mask stops the spread of this virus, as the WHO has repeated many times.

Cask less cards is needed asap. platforms on the North terrace need to be be dismantled.

Covid Marshalls are mini Hitlers in HIVIS jackets power goes to their head. More people are dying in the Uk of non covid issues because all the mass media is behind the over hype, censorship has stopped proper debate.

I agree Covid is a dreadful disease but so is cancer, including my mother who died in May when her cancer treatment was stopped due yo covid over reaction.

The club are a joke-  Standing at the North terrace as I have done for 20 odd years, I just could not see alot of the game with two camera gantry's installed, WHY ?? are they there what's wrong with gantry on the roof ??

No wonder we had to bunch up together so we could see the action !

Why could we not pay for coffes and teas and programmes contactless payment - with all that handling of cash  goes against all the covid measures that where suppose to be in place.

Paying 22 to watch half a game !! They will be lucky to get 300 let alone the 600 who turned up today. I and others would be willing to pay 22 if we could see all the game. I hope the chairman reads this otherwise the fans will not turn up and watch the live stream and see all the game.

I'm standing at the walks at the moment, its not too bad and looking at the rainfall live radar the rain will go in an hour replaced by dry windy weather. I played 324 times for Leyton orient in the 1970's and 1980's we would always played in conditions much worse than this.  The team needs to play that's the bottom line.

General Discussion / Chester v Lynn
« on: February 16, 2020, 05:10:23 PM »
I am planning to travel to Chester in van with friends, but as expected the weather is dreadful in Chester at the moment, when we will be informed if the match is off ? we cancelled early v Bradford yet I travelled all the way to the game against Gloucester  last week and only found out the game was off 90 mins before the game was due to start, I reckon there was about 20 -30 Lynn supporters when we got there all waste of time and money.
