Makes a mockery of a regional competition when the Northern section has to extend as far south as Greater London (Bishops Stortford) to compile the league. After this season top half of NLN & NLS should form a National league 1 , bottom half National league 2. From then on top two teams automatic promotion + one further promotion via play-offs. Effecting 3 up and 3 down throughout three National League tiers

Players released by Colchester, would jump at the chance to see Freddie Sears in a Lynn shirt.

Referee was so blatantly biased toward Curzon, he realized he could no longer influence the result, but he could ensure Lynn were without one of their best players for the play-offs. Equally mystifying why the second goal was disallowed as there was no contact between the players and no question of off-side Ox' C came from behind the defender. Two worthy penalty appeals waved away Gold was hauled down in the box and a hand ball that everyone in the stadium say except the officials.

Thought crossed my mind. I do wonder if Notts County supporters are somewhat similarly concerned having read recently they are £14,000,000 in debt ?

Looking a good season for Non-League Norfolk. Kings Lynn top, Thetford top and favorites to be promoted to step 4, seems Cameron King has made quite a difference Heacham top and favorites to be promoted to step 5. Downham Town have climbed into a play off slot in Thurlow Nunn North. Wroxham and Gorleston both moving up in Isthmian North. Hopefully the influx of squad additions including the loan of Lynn's Tyler Knowles will secure Dereham Towns place in Northern Midlands division at step 4.

I'm confused. The match report in the Lynn news confirms Cosgrave as scoring twice with Spiller credited with the third goal. Yet at the bottom of their report it states that OC and Walker were the other scorers....As does the Forum home page???
Having read the Leamington report seems the first goal Oxlade-Chamberlain headed goalwards and was a case of had it or not crossed the line before Cosgrove got a touch on it. Third was a credited to Kellar on Twitter also in Leamington report, seems like they were aware it was a Lynn sub' but not really bothered who it was.

Like to catch up with the other local non-league games on the way home after a Lynn game, on Radio Norfolk. Guess what. Norwich WON a game! No time for any other reports or even results, despite Lynn winning and going top. Dereham a very creditable point away at the league leaders Stamford. May have been a mention late on in the programme but not before I arrived home at 5-30pm.

We have done well in the league to cover Ponticelli's absence but yesterday was a step too , we really missed his pace up top.
As for Gold he really frustrates me by being so passive he plays a gentleman's game. When he was being held yesterday a swift movement of an elbow back into the midriff or step back on top of the foot behind would have been far more effective than appealing to the referee, and even if the ref' then awarded against would have sent out a message to the defender that he was not there to be bullied.

Weymouth or Merthyr Town at home will do nicely. We have a good home record against both.
No financial reward for losers from now on, lets have another winners cheque.

John H , good to read Chorley manager thought Lynn's goal to be offside. Kind of evens up the incident when Gold was pulled over in the box and then booked for [presumably] diving. The defender that sent Aron Jones flying about 10 minutes in was very lucky to get away without a booking.

Am I correct in thinking before Rhead, Alfreton had an equally controversial attacker a tall black player who used to delight in winding the crowd up, then claiming racial abuse when he got a response? I think he also may have been the player that held McAuley back by his arm and when McAuley pulled his arm free this guy threw himself to the floor claiming an elbow winning a red card for McAuley.

We are repeatedly seeing post's regarding aquiring the services of a proven striker, Yes that is a need but seems the fact that we have yet to keep a clean sheet in any games this season has been totally overlooked. Yes we can admire IC principals but are those principals losing the team an unacceptable number of points? Take the Wrexham game Pierce Bird received a hefty push in the back prior to his short backpass , I have a feeling had that been a Wrexham player or indeed a player from most other National League sides they would have gone to ground with a exasperated yell, the same move keeper Jones arrived first at the short back pass instead of a hefty boot behind it to clear , Jones dwelled on the ball looking for a pass only for the ball to get played by the Wrexham player into the middle leading to the goal. That is just one of many occasions where playing fair or applying pricipals has been the teams downfall this season. Hindsight a wonderfull thing but full time playing staff has in my opinion backfired badly on Lynn, as a part time outfit in the National League, Lynn and a few other lower teams in the league had the pick of the crop of part time players. Full time only younger players who realistically are not yet wanted by the Ex- league full time outfits in this league.

Colman and McGavin would be my first two names down for a midfield start. Plenty of Ipswich fans consider him unlucky that his face not fitted with Paul Cook.

Incosiderate of Barnet they could have waited until after they had played Lynn at least. Mind you we thought loss to Southend was a creditable loss but that is the only game they have won to date.
