Certainly won't miss Ponticelli, reminded me of a non league Danny Welbeck.

What does Joe get back out of this?

I think that's a jobsaving line up. 2 tall strikers, 3 centre backs, 2 right backs, defensive midfielder assistant manager

Sounds comparable to Ozil's situation at Arsenal a few years back, under Emery/Arteta

Ah yes, I meant in regards to formation but didn't make that clear. A big striker who can hold up play is also vital

If that is the case, I  think the most important additions we need are Wingbacks.

Feel free to start one Loopy. Let’s. Hear your thoughts on both.

Both are big uns.  Could we be seeing a change of ‘style’?

In the article MH said about his back 3, and wanting athletic players. Makes me think it'll still be a form of kick and rush and set pieces

6'1 13stone, so a bit more of robust player than what we've had in midfield

Maybe now the father/son dynamic is gone it might ease pressure off Theo

When he took over he was convincing in his  assurances and effective in his rallying crys.I think we all reserved judgement on his anti football given the situation.  But now in hindsight he's been given the world on a stick, and bar a purple patch, all we have really seen is a silver tongued long ball merchant who couldn't even see a full season out

People starting off with their Gold agenda again.

It isn't an agenda - he's just so frustrating.

What wound me up today was the way he missed so many of his headers - not being beaten in a challenge, just mis-timing his jump and completely missing the header.
Also, the remark about him being "beaten up" by a couple of big defenders - Gold is a big lad himself, he should be bullying the opposition

Admittedly I too thought it was poor when he  completely mis timed the header. I can't believe he didn't get something on Barretts cross either. But Stevenage were undoubtedly a huge step up in quality to what he's been used to, they handled him well
They  marshalled him well
