General Discussion / Re: What’s going on ?
« on: November 29, 2024, 12:10:13 AM »
I wonder how many fans would be perfectly happy to see the Club at step 3 with a part time squad, self sufficient in terms of outgoings be fully supported by income.  With a locally based team with a locally based Manager ?

What a terrible thing to say. Clueless & ridiculous. Zero ambition on this forum.

 :laughcry: :laughcry: :laughcry:

Back at you Kieran.its probably one of the most sensible things I've heard.
What's wrong with having the ambition to stop the club you support from going bust?
On this forum?Don't know what you are comparing it with to say that?Surely not the clueless  drivel we see on Facebook?
So what's your plan for the future? Are you going to remortgage your house and give your own money to Mr Cleeve so the club can keep paying to play at a level it can't afford?Or are you expecting someone else to pay for that?
Come on,show us the ambition you talk about. 🤣

No idea why you’re piping up, all you are is a massive negative Nelly!!

Never usually see you on here after wins, just sniping from the sidelines after a loss. How many times have you actually been to The Walks?

 :laughcry:

No answer then,just insults.
Then you accuse others of swerving!  :laughcry:

Smoke and mirrors? Mr Cleeve is surely unlikely to attract a hard headed investor who will undertake due diligence: so he needs a football loving wealthy philanthropist?
Thats what loopy is hoping for  :laughcry:

Never gets mentioned how much he wants for the Club. Statements like this just disrupts the Club.
i like the bit about there only being 17000 bank debt. What about all the other debts?are they being wiped off before his new partner comes on board or does he expect someone to pick that up for him.And of course whats now happening with Bal and jo?

The chairman must have Wrexham quaking in Thier boots with all these ideas we should soon pass them.
What it really does is show how out of touch he is with his customers.does he really thinks the majority of fans give a rats ar*se about the club becoming a global name.I don't think he's got what it takes to do that but even if he had all most fans want is a nice atmosphere around the club and enjoy Saturday afternoons football without all the drama that hangs around like a dirty smell.Has he even asked the fans what they would really like other than his usual hanger ons?I doubt it as he knows he will get told some home truths.

I don’t believe all this tripe about Joe not being present off course he was there l no for a fact he was present I wish we had won to show him what a good team he had brought into but alas it wasn’t to be
how do you know that for a fact? Were you introduced to him?

Bal has been pressing the flesh for a month or so now so its no secret hes becoming involved even if there has been nothing on club website to tell supporters about it.lets hope that jo hasnt had second thoughts since his visit last week. Its strange not to have heard about whats going on even for this most secret club

Let’s not forget Adam Lakeland doesn’t travel 4 ( 8?)!hours every day not to be competing at the business end of the League.
the best manager in the league must have changed his mind on that one

The commentator on SS Radio said at half-time KL had only managed one shot at goal throughout, and that went wide.  However many wins or draws we manage to “grind out”, it is obvious we have a poor team that can only hope to stay at this level as their current ambition.  I don’t know what is the matter with the club.  We’re still about the only club at this level with no stand behind the goals.  Progress over the decades has been hopeless…. The patience of the fans, albeit the dwindling number, is surprising.  But we all still live in hope…..
there's still some that believe in this sleeping giant myth.probably the same people that get excited when someone is willing to throw money in and are so short sighted  they don't see the danger when this leads to massive debts building up with only one outcome likely and they believe all the hype when they are promised league football. We are punching above our weight even at this level and all we have really got is a crumbling southern league ground that hasn't been fit for anything above southern league level for 15 maybe 20 years.Theres not enough interest in football in kings lynn to get crowds at the level needed for anything higher. Why do money men keep doing this with football clubs as its no good for them no good for the club and no good for the supporters.it makes you wonder how these people that put money into clubs earned it in the first place as so many wouldn't be able to run a p*** up in a brewery.

A team that were sitting in 2nd position and a special offer on tickets only managed to get 787 there last night.Full time and pumping loads of money into it just ain't working. To me it looks as if the fans are not buying into Cleeve and his ideas. It takes more to run a club than just chucking money at it.

a virtual begging bowl would be good as there wouldn't be any surprise when fans put virtually nothing in it

Question is . Is this high prices a  Kings Lynn FC  issue or a Kings Lynn in general issue.

My two largest interest's in life are football and live music, now whilst I can appreciate that Kings Lynn Town FC admission charges are generally higher than most other teams at similar levels, I would suggest that the charges to watch live music at the Corn Exchange are far higher to watch lesser acts than can be viewed at for example the Apex theater in Bury st Eds or Norwich Waterfront where currently popular headline acts can be seen at a far lesser cost than endless tribute and past sell by day acts at Kings Lynn Corn Exchange.

Therefore maybe high prices are a Kings Lynn issue and not solely a KLTFC issue.

In that case, it will be interesting to see what the prices will be when they put live music on at The Wallks!

😂

Nah.not a good example.Corn exchanges prices may or may not be too high but Cleeve controls the price at walks so the high prices are 100% down to him.If you are ok with the high prices it's down to him and if you disagree with them it's down to him.Not even down to Joe as these were all set long before he came in
