Hooe we keep Southwell, always looked good when picked, and worked hard. Proven goal getter. He can work well with Gash.

If anyone is interested we have a game today. If we play like we did at Aldershot than I can see a welcome 3 points. Pay for the stream, what's 12 nowadays.

General Discussion / The Northern Premier League.
« on: January 08, 2021, 03:40:01 PM »
The NPL are meeting soon to discuss calling a halt to the season. They are going to vote on making it Null and Void, or a complete shutdown for 2 months. There are teams in that League that have been unable to play since early November. I hate to say it but I think its going to spread through other leagues.
The FA cup is slowly turning into a farce, and its already been said on this site, that we are in a lock down but its ok to go out and put a pitch cover on!

General Discussion / Fire Power
« on: November 01, 2020, 11:49:30 AM »
IC has a good problem for a change, all our strikers seem to know were the goal is.
Before Tuesday night, I thought Southwell was very unlucky not to play , he has looked sharp and has a terrific work rate, but Mitchell done the job in very good fashion, Loza against Woking looked sharp, and we all know what Marriot can do. With regards to the rest of the team, Carey looks a great prospect, Clunen had his best game for a while, I would like to see room made for Sam Kelly, he has a good eye for the gaps to make a pass. He must start Saturday against his old team. Just sort the the errors at the back, and all's well with the world.

General Discussion / The big vote
« on: April 11, 2020, 04:37:06 PM »
It's the big vote next week, only 4 clubs allowed to vote from our league, that's not fair, all 24 of the high league voting, a certain Mr Barwick to thank. Do you think that is right, what do you think.

General Discussion / Cameron King
« on: January 31, 2020, 07:32:17 PM »
Its good to see King doing well at Halifax , someone  mentioned him about returning to Lynn, Also Norman, out of the two, I would prefer King, as I think he is more suited to our style of football, without being disrespectful of Norman I think our fullbacks/wingbacks in Jones and Fox have not let the team down, also with Barrows doing great as a central defender who is also a very versatile player we are very fortunate.  Lets have a forum debate!

General Discussion / The Pitch
« on: November 28, 2019, 04:21:58 PM »
It's that time of the year when we are prone to getting the part of the pitch in the shadow of the main stand frozen when ever we get 2 or 3 days/nights of heavy frost. It does not get any Sunlight. It has cost us money with postponements in the past. Let's get some sort of cover for this. Perhaps the trust would be willing to help with a few quid, I shall put in a 3 figure sum. What do you think?

General Discussion / Sam Kelly
« on: November 11, 2019, 07:49:44 PM »
I am becoming a fan of Sam Kelly, when he came on against Altrincham he made the difference, by running at their defence and put some great balls in the box, in fact he made the second goal. He was harshly given a yellow card in the last minute (right in front of me) for a foul where their player just fell over. he has also provided assists in the last few days. I think he is a talented player and he does not look out of place in our midfield. Carey is another player who can do the business, Some of our players are predictable with their passing, if we are looking for a make shift striker when Gash is suspended, what about Ross Burrows, he looks like he can play anywhere, and can head a ball, as well as a good passer.  Just ideas.  Brett McNamara has been mentioned on other posts, well he was a full back, came to Lynn as a striker, scored a hat full of goals.  Does anybody agree?
