General Discussion / Every Match Now Must Win
January 28, 2026, 09:42:27 AM
Results again went against Lynn last night with Peterborough Sports beating Macclesfield 4-3 and now meaning that Lynn sit just two points above the relegation zone.

Saturday's match and now every match after that is now must win in my view. Given our lack of a goalscorer and the sometimes pathetic manor in which we're conceding goals it certainly doesn't look good. Anything other than a win on Saturday against Alfreton and I'm afraid I fear for the worst. Other clubs are making a couple of signings and doing all they can to avoid the drop, whereas as we on the other hand seem to be relying on kids and a few loans.

I'm afraid this mess we're in lays entirely at TSI's door as far as I'm concerned and if we do end up going down, I hope TSI's ambition will be to get us back up.  :scarf:

General Discussion / Hereford Away - Coach Travel
August 10, 2025, 03:12:25 PM
Not seen a thread about this but glad to see the club are putting a coach on for next week's trip to Hereford.

From what I've been told there will be a coach going to every Saturday away match this season. I'll be jumping on as much as I can!  :bus: :scarf:

General Discussion / Brackley at Home
March 11, 2025, 09:42:16 AM
Another tough one tonight with the current league leaders coming to town. Play like we did at their place back in December and we should get something out of this. Be nice to see a gate of over a 1,000 tonight taking up the offer of a £3 discount on adult and concessions tickets if bought by midnight last night. I don't think that has been as well advertised as the £5 admission offer against Oxford City in my view but we shall see.

Going for a 2-1 win but I'll happily take a point. COYL  :scarf: :scarf:

General Discussion / Ross Crane
February 20, 2025, 10:26:27 AM
Just a bit of a recent observation but has anyone else noticed recently that when Ross Crane is on the pitch we look a bit more likely to score a goal?

Scored a goal against Marine about a month ago, was unlucky to hit the post against Radcliffe and I think he had another chance which wasn't far off, and seconds after he came on against Hereford he nearly set up the equaliser before someone managed to put it over the bar from 5 yards out!! He's then managed to get a brace against Oxford on Tuesday by being in the right place at the right time.

I know some have been critical of Crane but I really like the lad and given he's a young lad as well I think there is still more to come from him. For me, he has to be one of the first names on the teamsheet. Be interested to know everyone else's thoughts on him  :scarf:

General Discussion / Brackley Town (A)

Tough midweek trip tonight but one where I'm confident we can get something from. I'd be happy with another point so I'm going for a 1-1 draw.

I'm going along tonight as I'm sure a few will be. I went to Oxford earlier in the season on a Tuesday and I would easily say we made up half of the 300 odd crowd that was there. Safe travels to anyone else going tonight  :scarf: :bus:
