We need huge help to get through this season -  and are thinking of fund raising ideas.  If we produced a 68 page programme for the Yeovil game would your pay £ 15 for one? We would post it to you? We need 70 fans to buy it to break even and 270 fans to make it worthwhile

After watching the game today.   How much are we going to miss our big hold up player?   We certainly looked very powder puff up top today.

The National League has asked the Government to allow up to 1,000 spectators in all grounds in October as a temporary solution.

Brian Barwick: “The League restart depends upon crowds being allowed back in stadiums as live attendance is our clubs’ largest source of income."

General Discussion / Live Stream v Norwich U23s

Good coverage I thought.  Good on Mark Hearle to sponsor the game.  Putting something back never hurts.

With an average crowd of 1400 how many fivers  worth were sold ?  My guess would be 15% (200 plus).  Then a good few Norwich fans on top.

Hope it was a success so we get more of it.

One little point.  If no fans were allowed in who were those supporters on the far side to the camera in the first half ?

Looking at the various Photo’s of the Walks  have to say that’s the best I can ever remember it looking.

Big well done to Steve Curtis. He must have pumped 000’s of gallons onto that of late.

General Discussion / Next Seasons start date (Premier League)
« on: July 24, 2020, 03:15:22 PM »
The 2020-21 Premier League season will start on 12 September and finish on 23 May.

The current campaign will end on Sunday after it was suspended for three months because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Premier League said it would "continue to consult" with the Football Association and English Football League (EFL) "regarding the scheduling of all domestic competitions".

General Discussion / Next season
« on: June 10, 2020, 06:30:19 PM »
With the seemingly positive news coming out of the EFL meeting.   Do we dare look ahead to next season ( whenever it may start).?

Season Tickets and general admission costs will be one of the first things to be sorted.
What are people’s thoughts on this.  How would the following sound ?

General Ground ( standing) £18
Seating  right and left hand side £21
Seating  mid stand     £25.

Then how about a £1 surcharge per ticket sold to go to the War Chest.

Tin helmet is on, but  for Step 1 Football I think the prices are about right. ( based on 2019/2020 prices)

Thoughts ?

Great full page interview with new signing Alex Brown...

Also it seems all Clubs in the National League are going to be canvassed on how to end the current campaign, and asked to vote on it.

Perhaps Mark could explain what this all could actually mean for us ?

General Discussion / Will the FA end the season ?

With the Arsenal Manager confirmed to have  CV and the Premier League calling an emergency meeting for today, I can’t see much football being played going forward.    I do wonder if Saturday will be the last game of the season at The Walks.

Sometimes There are much bigger things than a game of football.

After a great week ( 4 points on the Road), it’s a long awaited return to The Walks on Tuesday night.  Can’t see us slipping up Here and expect to see us return to the top of the table ( how good does that sound) and with 3 games in hand.

Can see IC having a bit of a tinker again to rest up certain players.  Maybe Jarv, Gash, Hendo.

Be interesting to see if the CV has any affect on the gate for Tuesday. Also there is a Premier League/EFL meeting on Monday to see what they will do with regard to supporters coming to games.  I guess the Non League game will follow their lead.

Fingers crossed we get some Football back at the Walls on Tuesday, but not at any cost.
