General Discussion / Post match
« on: October 13, 2019, 06:05:21 AM »
What a ⚽️ game yesterday, it had everything, pace, intensity, incredible atmosphere & both sides playing a slick passing game.. if only we had took one or two very good chances in the first half. It was a master stroke playing a youthful energetic midfield, as it played out, that was the best I have seen in midfield from an opposing side this season. There no 7 was outstanding and to be honest we never got to grips with him all afternoon. But....with mc’cauley leading from the back and the tireless work throughout the side we were certainly in this match on merit 👊 clunan, burrows, & Marriott for me were the pick on a day which will be remembered for a long while, not to be forgotten the crowd, who turned up in there hundreds and were vociferous in there support throughout the afternoon👏🏻👏🏻 This is again......without big injuries, going to be a hell of a rollercoaster!!!!!!👍

General Discussion / Curson Ashton post match
« on: August 25, 2019, 06:43:43 AM »
After a very nervy start the lads produced a scintillating performance yesterday and well worth the three points  Although it is only six games in, I am confident this group of lads can stay within the top 10 without question barring injuries to the front two....gash & Marriott would be irreplaceable at the moment which is my only concern..slightly surprised by the low attendance on a glorious day, but the only losers was the non attendees...let the good times roll :scarf:

General Discussion / walks atmosphere....

A massive   to one and all in recent home games, I haven't heard such a crowd in fine voice for a long time...there seems to be an excitement and never say die attitude on the pitch which in my opinion is tracking back to the terraces....with no significant pressure on with expectations towards winning the league it seems that everyone has a smile back on there face. long may it continue :scarf:

« on: November 16, 2018, 08:48:10 AM »
The season starts now with a tricky away day at midlanders barwell fc. unsure whether the management will stick with last weeks starting eleven  :dontknow: I am making the trip and hoping for a much needed three points :comeon: my prediction 2-0 with marriot and hendo on the travels for fans making the trip :bus: :scarf:

General Discussion / cup exit

Another cup exit against a good outfit on the road, 277 for the attendance said it all, very disappointing....... :nilpoints:

General Discussion / Chris Henderson
« on: October 03, 2018, 09:40:57 AM »
After last nights fixture I was pleasantly surprised how and what a good signing this player will be, quick ,direct, hardworking, but also very very aware of his teammates around him...As for Saturday perhaps a place on the bench, but will be a bonus for the fans when he does get his chance  :scarf:

General Discussion / Groundsman
« on: July 22, 2018, 05:50:16 AM »

General Discussion / play off preference......
« on: April 03, 2018, 03:53:26 PM »
As it now looks a certainty to qualify for the play-offs, although 2nd place is still uncertain I was thinking my preferred opponent in the semi-final :dontknow: having now seen all of the candidates, my one wish would to avoid Weymouth who imo were a class act with Brandon goodship a constant danger to any side :worship:

General Discussion / "player of the season" contender 2017-2018
« on: March 19, 2018, 06:53:59 AM »
Just pondering to reflect on my personal player of the season at this stage, there are three that stand out for me in this order :thanks: 1) ryan Jarvis  2) Cameron norman  3) ryan Hawkins..  imo ryan has stood out quietly head and shoulders over most of the team, and we as a team, would not function anywhere near the heights we have without his 7+/10 every game, his willing to have the ball at, and in any situation coupled with his constant ticking over of the play is a pleasure to watch. :dontknow: norman and Hawkins have been superb at times and match winners in their own right  but ryan is the glue holding everything and everyone together  :cup2:

General Discussion / stand-out player so far........
« on: October 31, 2017, 01:38:14 PM »
Eighteen games in, league and cup, ponder the question who has stood out for you so far this campaign :dontknow: for me craig parker and top scorer at that with seven. a vital cog in the team who puts in a 7-8/10 every game. sorely missed when without.

General Discussion / Fa cup on the road....
« on: September 15, 2017, 02:35:04 PM »
Really looking forward to the match tomorrow and to judge where we are at that level. Tues night must be put behind us and it is essential that we carry on with our customary fast start. hopefully we will regain our passing game for this one, as apparently they are a big side, so from previous reports they struggle with that kind of game... my prediction...0-2 gash & clunan pen.. :bus: :scarf: :comeon: :comeon: :comeon:

General Discussion / Admission prices 2017..
« on: June 25, 2017, 06:12:05 AM »
:dontknow: just checked out the admission prices and noticed that the fa cup and fa trophy games are still "tba".......also that certain games over the Xmas/new year period & potentially high away support,  where this is extra security needed will implement an increase on the price on the day!!! :banghead;  I'm afraid the wording & term "taken for a ride" this season will be very applicable ...

General Discussion / Hopes & fears for the season!!
« on: June 05, 2017, 08:07:04 PM »
:scarf: my hopes for the season are a consistent top five place, my fears are a slow start and playing catch up only to miss out in the latter stages
