Only saw him once and he scored a great individual goal…

Must be a chance for a win.  BS on an unimpressive run, so fingers crossed.  Many of the posts show the team aren’t impressing, but squeezing out results, thankfully.  I don’t like the idea that the style doesn’t matter if a team wins, because it’s obvious that if a team plays well it will be likely to win, while a team playing badly is likely to lose.  Let’s hope KLTFC start playing well!  The Dillathon World-beating computer has calculated a result of 1-1, or a slightly fortunate 2-1 home win, if we are lucky!……

General Discussion / The state of things

Still no attendance figure?  Was it starting to be embarrassing?  Couldn’t make it yesterday, but what I’ve seen, the players aren’t good enough, apart from the forwards from last season, but even they aren’t firing.   No slipperiness in midfield probably contributes to the forwards’ dip in form.  Giving Fatadjo only half a game deprives us of the most mobile player in the squad.  Very worrying, as the crowd could drop alarmingly if better players can’t be obtained.  Again - what was the attendance, please?…..

Just watched the Corby highlights, and am giving it the benefit of the doubt!  I appreciate ours was a scratch selection, but have to say Corby had the better players.  But the good news, actually great, imho…. The “Protect the Game” initiative.  I never thought the football community, in its entirety, would ever allow their “loyalty” to be challenged by such reality as this excellent and long overdue exercise.  These days even a disputed throw-in can induce manic anger amongst players, coaches, and spectators.  On the field, lovers of the game are sick of hearing so-called experts and pundits talk about “good fouls” and “good at committing little fouls all over the pitch to break the opponents’ play up.  I hope this takes off in a big way to improve the spectacle of “the beautiful game”.

Small matter of Southport before thinking about the Darlington trip!  Manager says he wants the team to be on the front foot foot this one. Couldn’t agree more, and I’m hopeful the selection assists that ambition….

General Discussion / Scarborough at home..

Good luck today!  I know we need several back to full fitness & sharpness, but I hope we don’t field a team with a basically defensive set-up not getting enough chances at their end, and having a deficit to have to pull back by putting on forwards too late.  Let’s make Scarbro’ having to pull back a 2-goal deficit themselves!  COYL…..
Just seen the team - Much more positive line-up!  The Dillometer now makes us favourites!  And god game-changers on the bench.  Kelleher scored a cracker in his last inclusion…

Disappointed that we have an extra defender instead of Stevens and/or Ponticelli in a home fixture that realistically we must win.  Dilly hopes we’re too good anyway, but can’t understand that selection.

We’re certainly depleted by injury, but it’s a stodgy line-up, imho, that on paper looks unlikely to flow or dominate the game.  Surely Charles or Walker would give us more chance of flowing like we have done so far.  One of them next to Gold, with Barrett replacing Ox-C in midfield.  Just my mouth - I’ve mislaid my gob-stopper!

Good result at Bradford.  Defeat for Gloucester showing how easy it is to lose by the odd goal away.  Please, TW, don’t change the attacking line-ups we have had since the Kettering selection was rectified by the attacking selection that did the rectifying!  We now have a team that can, not necessarily will, but can win this league.

Good luck to the team today.  I believe they will compete, but it’s difficult to imagine them scoring.  Football is a funny game though, so they could suddenly get 4or 5 !  That is definitely not a prediction !  Most of us know we must get a goalscorer urgently, apart fro those who think it’s an advantage to have huge forwards, and spend all day thumping over crosses, in the hope !……..
