General Discussion / FA YOUTH CUP
« on: September 29, 2020, 08:24:12 PM »
I see that on the home page that the Youth team are at home next tuesday to Cambridge City. Spectators are allowed and adults will be 7 children free.
Best i get my old KES short trousers out see if i can get in for free!
I wonder if the teams have agreed this seemingly rather high amount especially if the Lynn team is made up of players helping out Downham Town Reserves in the Anglian Comb where i would imagine the entrance for league games is ZERO.

General Discussion / Saturday at Heacham FC
« on: September 10, 2020, 07:43:06 PM »
For those looking to get to watch some football, saturday is a great opportunity to get down to see Heacham FCs home debut in the Anglian Comb Premier against Gorleston Reserves. Heacham started off last saturday away to very established Bungay by spanking the home team 7-1. Heacham have a few ex Linnets on the books including Jack Defty, Nathan Daw, Alex Clunan and the likes of Ross McNeil in the dug out.
Look forward to seeing some of you there. You won't be diussappointed and for example a bottle of water is 50P NOT 2!!!!!!!

General Discussion / Saturdays 1st team and Reserves fixtures-any feedback?
« on: September 07, 2020, 07:55:13 PM »
Looking at the forum there is nothing about the 1st team game at Royston and also the Reserves/U21 first home game against Framlingham.
Anyone go to either?

General Discussion / Pre Season starts

Unless i have missed something it is very quiet on the forum regarding why the 1st team game did not go ahead on saturday at Bishops Stortford or any details regards the U21s defeat at Norwich United.
Yes i know they are billed as friendlies but a little detail for those who have not seen the EDP today would be helpful as to what sort of team was put out at Norwich.

General Discussion / Talking of Legends
« on: December 13, 2019, 05:20:50 PM »
Tomorrow will not only see Mick Wrights passing with a minutes applause or silence but also another legend for his hospitality and catering skills has also died this week. Les Philp for many years responsible for the hospitality and catering for KLTFC, also owner of Grants Restaurant in King's Lynn, ex manager of Hunstanton Fc and Arsenal and King's Lynn FC fanatic, died at the age of 70.
His 3 course lunches for 10 were phenominal and fully booked week in and week out plus the Christmas lunches that myself and kevin Chase used to put on for a FULL Blue and gold Club every pre Christmas matchday.
R.I.P both Mick and Les. Neither will ever be forgotten, one for his football skills the other for his culinary skills (as well as his football support).

Amazing experience for the lads to take on Ipswich Town at Portman Road last night, unfortunately going down to a 6-1 defeat but a remarkable achievement.
From Neil Fryatt and all the team/squad downwards, well done.

General Discussion / Ressies top scorer
« on: October 30, 2019, 05:40:15 PM »
Was well impressed with Joeseph Taylor last season in the Ressies. This year so far he has scored 12 of the 22 goals that the Ressies have scored along with being missing games while on the subs bench for the 1st team.

General Discussion / End of an era
« on: June 28, 2019, 06:25:32 AM »
It has been a truly sad day that Double G Clothing who have sponsored the Reserves since 2003 and the club since the early 90s (the largest ever sponsor financially) have severed all ties at this present time. We (Gordon and Graham, the 2 partners of Double G Clothing) would sincerely like to thank everybody in the way of staff, supporters who supported the clubshop in our running days, the supporters club and away travel and every single player that we either sponsored in the early days and subsequently that pulled on the DOUBLE G CLOTHING sponsored playing shirts and kit. There are 2 many good people to mention individually who appreciated what has been done for the club but they know who they are and the powers that be and the correct people have been told before this becomes common knowledge.Sincere good luck to the Reserves (they will need it) and who knows one day we may be back but rest assured we will be out there somewhere supporting football in the King's Lynn area.
