General Discussion / Re: Trust statement
« on: May 20, 2025, 08:36:38 PM »
Such a shame that with Cleeve needing money he couldn’t have extended the olive branch and invited the Trust onboard to offer some form of help.  Seems like all he wanted to do was have a pop at individuals involved at the Trust. Thus causing an even bigger rift between himself and supporters of the Club.

Don’t think anyone gets robbed Kenny.  Then again it also appears people don’t get paid.

Be interesting to see if the new people Ckeeve has got involved will be taking equity in the Club or will be in the form of yet another loan ?   Or it could be a sponsorship deal.   All will be revealed.  Hopefully.

Who remembers Gibraltor or Concerts at the Walks with AC/DC or any of the various things that were destined to turn the Clubs fortunes around.

Are there a few unpaid invoices floating around ? It seemed the Club wasn’t the quickest of payers but surely not stuff that is 12 months over due ?

I think you will find the threat of not taking over the club or putting money in to pay the bills..........

Apparently TSI haven't been doing that for a while now.

Exactly my point... turning the tap off to get what they want springs to mind.. Similar with the hand forcing when trying to get James Rowe appointed

The tap has to be turned off.  It was said Cleeve had gone over the agreed budget what was to stop him spending even more of someone else’s money ?

Of course the phone between Cleeve and Lakeland will be red hot this arvo.  Begging the best  Manager in the League to return.  Then of course how can Bal stay and work with a guy who he wanted out of the club.  Would leave his position untenable surely ?

I thought Jo/Bal said just last week they wouldnt work with Cleeve.

What a Soap Opera this is. 😉.   Has the deal with new investor actually been signed off on or is this the latest Cleeve ‘big idea’

I wonder what was given as a guarantee to TSI for the 700k loan.   I guess this is the stick Jo/Bal will have over SC for control of the Club.  Also I wonder how much Bal has managed to get the Sports England loan down by so far?

Also was thinking if SC is not funding the Club and TSI are not putting anything more in while SC is in situ, is there enough cash in the business to meet all the current liabilities?

Agree with a lot of that Tony.  Some saw it earlier than others.

Playing devils advocate what evidence have we seen so far that Jo/Bal will not end up going the same route. Albeit on a smaller budget ?

Think he will be a big miss, off the pitch.  Be interesting to see what level he ends up for next season.   Maybe a coaching role somewhere.

Emptying his pockets and leaving a huge debt in Non League Football speaks volumes.

However I think Jo also has to take a certain amount of responsibility as he has put another £700k into the loan column on the balance sheet. In 15 months.  With the promise of loading it up by another £500k next season.

Thanks Kenny, I thought the actual figure was still open for negotiation.  Just wonder where the 10% figure came from.

Be interesting to know what the timescale Jo/Bal have given to SC  to determine whether it will be Deal or No Deal?
