Wasn't able to watch this one as was t'up North watching Harrogate v Gateshead with 3 ex Linnets on show.

Sounds like we put in a decent performance in gaining a much needed win. 

Was listening to the Seagulls Manager, Jonno Greening who was basically saying they gassed in the 2nd half two games in 3 days plus a 4.5 hour coach trip down on the day of the match was a step too far for his part time team.

The worry ( where are those beads ?)is trying to work out which is the real Caddis team.  Is the one that did a total job on Brackley or the one that lost a pre-season game at Wroxham got outclassed by a newly put together team at Chester and capitulated  in a 2nd half performance against Marine.

Ok it's only game 4, so the jury is out on what kinda squad Caddis has put together. Reading social media it seems many have already made their mind up that Bal has made yet another poor appointment.  For me it's to early to say, but Bal's track record doesn't look good so who knows where we will be come October.

Saturday should give us our first 3 home points of the season.  Should be another big crowd in for that one.

Interesting to see that since Clunan has take the job as CEO working with Jo that the opening day crowd was so big.  Plus it seems more revenue is coming into the Club than before.  All bodes well.

As long as we are are a top half of the League team then things should continue to improve under the new model.

Thought we were excellent v Brackley and 'bullied' them and looked stronger in all departments.  Harborough maybe a point was a fair result though thought we just about shaded it.  As for Chester didn't see that one but reading and listening to others it seemed we weren't at the races at all and were lucky to only suffer a 2-0 defeat.

Seems Chester are the team bang at it.  Like ourselves they are a working with a new squad put together in the summer.

I see Josh Hamami has joined Harrogate from FC Halifax for £70k.  We let him leave on a free last summer. Another one slips through the net.

Good post that Steve.  Caddis inherited a mess last season after having 3 Managers before he took the job.  Certainly was a first season to forget for the new regime.

I didn't realise that Jo is putting in 500k each season to cover the loses.  What happens when he thinks enough is enough ?  A lot of bigger Clubs than us are not running with a full time squad at this level.

Anyway first game of the season next Saturday, which I'm very much looking forward too.  A chance for PC to make a statement with a team that is his.

PM, excellent news that at least now we have enough bodies to at least fill the bench.

Big test will come on the opening day in front of a packed Walks. I feel the Harborough game will tells us much.

I guess a couple of more bodies to come in this week before the final pre-season game.  Then it's all systems go.

So with Jo pulling back does this mean he will be withdrawing his financial support making the Club reliant on being self sufficient?  Yet still holding circa 95% plus of the shares ?

I wonder whether TSL will be looking to sell of their holding in the Club to local businessmen etc.

This feels so much like a few season back when Mark Hughes was at the helm.  Mind that one was on Cleeve's shoulders.

Maybe someone should invest in some worry beads.

Be good to see who is joining and not who might be leaving ( for the right money).  Squad of 15 with just 20 odd days before the start of the season doesn't have a great look.

Last year under Rowe we had a squad of 20 plus, at this stage.

Couple of interesting trialists having a run out for us yesterday.  Ex Norwich  Academy youngster Dubem Eze and striker Louis Kudiabor. Think he was last at Chelmsford   Thought both did ok but obviously not easy to judge against step 5 opponents in a friendly.   What did others think who were at the game ?

If the work on the stand ( and maybe other areas?) isn't completed by the start of the season would this mean we might have to play home matches at another location ? If so where is the closet step 2 graded ground that we could share ?

It does seem rather last minute to get the begging bowl out and attempt to get the work done just a few short weeks before the opening day of the season

I see ex Norwich City legend Darren Eadie has left Leiston.
