General Discussion / Concern for the club
« on: Today at 11:54:15 AM »
With a few things coming from people who are very highly associated with the club being leaked/told to other people its defiantly a concerning time to be connected with the club.

A few things i thought was happening are the same things many other people think and now know are happening.

A) The u21's was disbanded because the chairman didnt want to fund them (to the disbelief of cully and the academy manager)  Not because of the pitch.
B) Cully approached cleeve about getting a new striker in a couple weeks ago and he has point blank refused to get one in.
C) Cully took 13 players to torquay because whats the point in taking the academy lads if they just on the bench it does them more harm than good. Why should cully do that which again gets the chairman of the hook again.

Wheres the money gone from Sonny Careys Transfer?
Wheres the £500,000 loan gone?

To the people now questioning Cullys management of the team, i think they personally need to reconsider who they blame. Blame cleeve, the man who 'loves' the club but is slowly but surely destroying it.

I'm not denying what Steven has done for the club but if he isnt interested in getting a new striker in when he has been approached and given a list of 5 names the gaffer would of liked then whats the point of him being there. If steven isnt interested in helping the team and the fans by giving them a team to support in the national league then why not just sell up and get someone in who does want to see us do well.

I don’t like complaining and I always try to make my posts thought provoking rather than insulting.
Yesterday was a mess.
No marketing of game (prior)
The stadium looks a **** hole.
Considering only 1500 home fans getting in was shambles.
Lack of bar staff was ridiculous even though staff tried best.
Lack of stewards cost when minor disturbance and loads of police drafted in.
PA system is broken.
No food at 7 sisters end.
Away fans having to climb barriers to avoid crush.
Gate at 7 sisters end only partially opened after game meaning fans had to squeeze out.
Price for single person probably not issue, however you notice the lack of family and kids?
On positive game was good in my opinion.
Now, our next home game is against another big boy. You would of thought the market machine would be in full swing taking on field positives to build up the crowd. Can’t say I seen anything!!!!
Mr cleave needs help!!
Either a competent team of employees or re evaluate and reach out and get a team of appreciated helpers and in turn engage with fans.

Can't say I disagree with much of this, one thing I would like to point out so the 'lack of stewards' people don't want to be a steward because of the way they are treated by the club told one thing by one person told another by someone else. Its a real kick in the teeth when outsiders come in and do the same job and are paid £45 to £60 a game when our own stewarding team gets nothing. We were told Saturday any disturbances were being dealt with by the police hence why there so many officers present. The clubs upside down and inside out currently and needs to be fixed fast. A lot of staff are getting fed up with it. Myself included.

Some ideas for the game and going forward
1/Kids for a quid when accompanied by an adult is a must
2/Any game advertised and promoted professionally
3/Large sign at both ends of the ground a week in advance of the next home game .
4/Paid stewards
5/An away section in the stand that is known and segregated correctly.
6/The Tennyson avenue end needs to be a fully away end for security but also so the away fans are not crushed in a corner.
7/Programmes can stay at 3.50 but have a 50/50 number printed free inside.
We are now full time and want to keep going forward but we will not accomplish this with 1200 home fans as its obviously unsustainable.

All good ideas, many (if not all) which wont be listened to. The biggest issue i found is having away fans in every section of the ground. Surely make the away end bigger or sort the system so away fans cant buy tickets for the home ( hard one i know). As for paid stewards, the ones in the blue (contracted stewards) are paid i believe in the region of £45 per match were as Kings lynn stewards are paid NIL.

Many positives to take away from the game and of course there is always things which can be improved upon. UTFL

General Discussion / Food
« on: August 12, 2021, 12:07:36 PM »
With the food being a hot topic amongst the fans recently.

Just want to give people another option, while I know fans are keen to put as much money into the club.

The Crossings Fish and chip shop literally less than a 100 yards away from the ground are doing matchday specials starting with 2 sausage and a portion of chips for £4 50.

50p cheaper, better quality and more for your money.

General Discussion / Re: Stewarding at game v S.Moors

B&G I would say not enough support is given to the stewarding team from those higher up. For example like mentioned above the person who was banned for 3 games for racism isn't enough and will never be enough. In my view because the people who cause the issues are paying to watch the team home and away those higher up will be a lot more lenient on them. Which isn't right. Everyone no matter their worth should all come under the same umbrella of punishment when inside the ground. Ultimately they will cost the club money in Fines.

I know a few stewards have left previously because they didn't agree with the way certain things were done and corners that were cut.

Coming in here to again defend the volunteer stewards. Some of the comments iv seem have been shocking and a lot of them have been quite frankly lies.

All stewards have at least a nvq level 2 in stewarding some have higher than that. All stewards are trained customer service, so if they got arsey with some fans then they probably had enough. Working for free for a club they love and get nothing but abuse from a section of fans. Please do mind my language but amongst the things said were kno*head, your just a d**khead etc etc. From minute one from entering the ground there were a select few that didn't care about the rules having known the rules (they were announced enough). They were all told politely by our own stewards. However having an outside events company working besides them who were a little heavy handed I can understand a little about the attitude of a couple of them.

At the end of the day, the rules are set by the authorities and have to be implemented by the club. Enough things of the Internet by the club, in programmes and signage was up so the excuse of we didn't know isn't really going to wash.

What happens if they don't abide by the rules today who knows but I'm sure we will find out.

General Discussion / Furloughed Players
« on: March 02, 2021, 06:04:18 PM »
Ive heard through the grape vine... Mazza, Southwell and all players that are currently injured have all been furloughed. That's along with all the highest earners.

General Discussion / Re: Social distancing at the game v Torquay
« on: December 13, 2020, 03:39:16 PM »
I can answer a couple of the questions put out on here today...

The 2 gantry were erected on behalf of the gentleman who runs video company for the stream, they use them 2 and the gantry above to give 3 angles of the match instead of just the one but i can understand the frustration in regards of the view. as myself did think it was a rather odd place to put them.

In regards of social distancing and mask wearing... in areas where there was more than enough space to be 2m apart some individuals just point blank refused after several stewards and club officials spoke to them along with numerous pa announcements.  (will this cost us by the authorities now reducing our capacity down further time will tell i guess).

With being the first game with that amount of fans in, everything was a learning curve so was always going to be teething problems. Id expected to see a few changes before our home game with notts county on boxing day. The only way can be up right?

On a positive note was great to have noise back in the stadium.

General Discussion / Re: More bail out money
« on: November 24, 2020, 02:48:08 PM »
It needs more detail.
I assume away supporters will not be allowed?
It's bad enough that some home supporters might travel together.
Interesting to see on Ollie Bayliss' chart on Twitter that the Walks has an 8,200 capacity.

I believe the capacity is around 4300 ( i think). I know it was reduced because of a few issues with the crush barriers in the north stand ( one adjacent to the walks) i know some failed a test last year. Then take into consideration the segregation zones so that will minus a few off of it aswell. I  know the oldham game there was 5,444 and that was a tight fit.

Will the main stand be able to be used by fans with the subs and some club officials taking up a few rows of seats either side of the directors box.

Well unfortunately for him IC already has Norwich FC calling the shots on their loanees, so he could never allow another team that pleasure.... :dontknow:

Oh give it a rest! Every opportunity you, like many others, slate the club. Get a grip will you.

General Discussion / Pitch cover
« on: November 05, 2020, 08:42:30 PM »
If im right in thinking all funding required for the covers was gained. Does anyone know whats happened to them? Have they been ordered? or has the money just been put aside.

General Discussion / Re: Alex Street
« on: November 04, 2020, 08:41:02 PM »
I have nothing but admiration for alex, given his loyalty to the club. The season Danny gay came in and knocked Alex down the pecking order he was offered the chance to leave then but stuck around to win 'his' shirt back. However, i feel like he has almost  'chucked his toys out' as such after Archie was rightly or wrongly made number 1. I get anyone would want to play regularly however i think he was used to be a lone ranger for almost all the decade he was here so didnt like it when competition arrived.  I also feel as though setch as had a hand in him deciding to leave looking through his tweets previously.

Only my opinion

General Discussion / Re: The behavior of some never ceases to amaze!
« on: October 30, 2020, 08:02:09 PM »
Well dilly somebody obviously thinks the virus doesn't attend stock car racing.... :glum: :glum:
And looking at the number of "volunteers" sitting in the stand at the walks the other night....their is obviously not only a tiering system put in place by the government but also a supporter tiering system put in place by Mr Cleeve. I know I'll be asking for my season ticket refund this season if the season doesn't finish... :red card:

Again information which is incorrect. They arent volunteers in the stand, its media, league officials and Home and away side directors. Thats without taking into consideration that subs and squad members aswell coaching staff are also seated in the stand as per the league rules.
