General Discussion / Re: Suspension

AL mentioned the lady Sec in reference to the rapid processing of paperwork to get Fin Barnes signed. I think her name is Julie Briggs.

Norman is still the matchday Sec.

I think he is carrying a knock ( whatever that means).

I totally agree with those sentiments but I also think AL has brought a new level of professionalism to the Club as a whole.

Perhaps he has given Mr Cleeve the confidence to adopt a slightly less hands on approach and to let others  do their jobs as appointed.

That seems to be the case with the media team who have made a huge difference to this pre-seasonwith their output.

Hopefully it will continue and supporters will slowly but surely feel less like the 'customers' we have been over the pst seasons.

Being a life long supporter, like Rod, I totally agree with his comments re the Club owner's attitude towards his 'customers'.

However, to support the efforts of AL and his team on and off the field, I will pay the required entrance fee through gritted teeth in the realisation that SC doesn't have in him the capacity to change.

As the saying goes ' Do bears walk in the woods?'

The clubroom has been used for functions regularly through the summer so that is not an issue.

Perhaps the source is not quite so far to the East?

Colin, it was open house with probably 60/70 supporters in the room. I did chat to one potential sponsor who I knew but I didn't see any 'guests' as such. It was Greg Plummers birthday which was probably why he wasn't there.

Nothing of note to report, Rod. Most of the evening was taken up by the new kit presentation and introduction of the players wearing the new shirts.

The usual spiel fron the Chairman and a few bland questions to the Manager and that was it. All over in 40 mins and obviously no sign of Joe.

Rod, I think you and I are of the same age and with that comes a certain cynicism and world weariness.

I certainly have seen nothing to substantiate Joe's involvement.

However if he is supporting the Club financially that is something to be grateful for.

That said,  it needs to be coupled with more involvement by the Club with its supporters and a better self financing business model.

He asked for Joe's contact number but apparently Joe ' doesn't take calls'.

Paul47, Linzi who was with the first team last season has a BSc ( Hons) in Sports Therapy and describes herself as such.

She has a different skillset to somebody who has a BSc ( Hons) in Physiotherapy, only overlapping in the treatment of sports injuries.

The Club need the former which includes the collection, evaluation, and implementation of data gathered in training and matchplay to improve players fitness levels and performance, as well as treatment of injuries.

Weary, my daughter Lynsey is the Physiotherapist for the Lynn Ladies and I think she said Linzi is pursuing a slightly different line of work in patient care.

And thankyou for making the distinction between a Sports Therapist and a Chartered Physiotherapist. They have completely different skillsets which only overlap in the treatment of injuries.

Well, I WAS watching the live stream but that is absolutely dire.

We are absolutely clueless: hit and hope football.

What a waste of £9.50
