I often wonder when reading all the comments on here how many actually attend matches at the Walks it would be interesting to know
Surely it would be more interesting to know why they don't go?
I would loved to have got a season ticket when they were on offer, sadly not worth it for me as I miss many games due to work.Does that make me any less of a supporter?
With the offers on tickets the Club have being making recently, supporters have probably scored a winner by paying game by game even if they go to every home match.
Even though I bought an "early bird" season ticket, I've been frustrated when cheaper tickets are regularly offered by the club. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for getting extra bums on seats, but in hindsight my "bargain" season ticket is not the bargain I expected it to be. The only benefit I seem to have left is not having to use the terrible ticket-buying website. Anyone who has used it knows what I mean 😕

"My understanding of it is that Sports England have a floating charge on ALL the assets of Lynn FC."
B&G, when you say "all" the assets do you think that any players of value would be included ? (If there are any )😺
If that's the case, we can settle all our debts by getting rid of...Gold 😂😂😂😂
Sorry, I just couldn't help myself 😉
But my question about players and assets is genuine 🙂
A question ths has been asked before. Although I think the answer is yes, I'm not 100% sure.
I'll go with a "definitely maybe".
I asked Google specifically about non league players being counted as assets, but take it with a bucket of salt as it's an AI answer 🙄 As I'm not very computer friendly I'll have to do it long hand 😏 "Non league players can be considered as assets for their club. A player's registration rights are an intangible asset that can generate income for the club." But I'm not sure how a player can "generate" income for the club. Other than when they're sold for more than they cost 🤔 Think I'm wishing I hadn't asked the question in the first place as I'm really none the wiser 😕

I'm afraid that it was almost impossible to tell which team was lower down in the table for most of the match. They wanted it way more than we did. End of. Remember too that without that penalty we had nothing to offer. Constantly firefighting and creating almost no scoring opportunities. If we're a team of defenders we aren't very good at it...
We were truly shocking. The goal they scored was one of those slow motion jobs and I sat watching it and willing it to drift off, or hit a seagull or something. But it wasn't to be. Should the keeper have saved it ? That's a tough one.
As for the boos, I was in the stand and it was clearly aimed at the players and manager. By the time the officials came off the pitch the boos had gone home. Personally I don't agree with booing. The boys know that they haven't been up to getting the job done. They didn't deserve that. It's not as if we lost. A point's better than nothing.
Just as a bit of gossip, there was a punch-up in the directors box after the match. Security were on it quite quickly and apparently one of their directors was involved. Once it was under control, he was still trying to get at our supporters, hurling abuse when he wasn't able to reach them. I'm afraid I yelled at him to foxtrot oscar 😏

I've heard the floor there is dodgy. But why only part of the stand is the question. I shall think twice about stomping in future 😕
Another possible reason could be to keep away fans together, as they're supposed to be, instead of letting them sit wherever. There's always applause right across the stand when the away team score. But short of interrogating everyone and demanding ID, I don't think it's likely to change 😼
Third option is that the floor in that area is indeed dodgy and they want the away supporters to plummet into the café for half time. They can only leave once they've bought food and drink 🍔🍟🥤 🤣
Or perhaps it's a gateway to a parallel universe 🤔...or...

...another week goes past and no news again. I saw the sign written Linnets van today. It looks ok and it's great to see the clubs name getting out and about even if it was only in Morrisons car park picking up the weekend shopping. [/quote]
Reminds me of the Linnets taxi under the "old" club. It looked good in Lynn colours and advertised the club both in and out of town. You couldn't miss it 🚕
Had some good links with KLFM, with a lot of regular airtime given about what was going on with the team and at the club on a daily basis.
I'll never forget spotting Captain Jack Sparrow by the Southgates roundabout on my way to work 🤣🤣🤣
I've never been the same since 😺
It was a time of close collaboration between them, including "Who's the star in the Linnets car ?" as mentioned above.
It was a phone in competition and the first person to correctly identify the"star" got a couple of free tickets for the next home game.
We've never engaged with KLFM in that way since reforming, which is a shame. All that free coverage for the price of two match tickets. What's not to like ? Over to you Bal and Joe 😉⚽⚽⚽

Oh no 😯 It means I won't be able to swear as much 😭
Fancy making the place I sit into a "family" area without asking me 😾
I'm still waiting for the day that one of them asks dad/mum, "what's a w***** ?" 😂
All joking aside, it should be a good earner for the club because the lovely little ones will expect food, drinks, scarf, programme etc.
And will hopefully become Linnets of the future 🤗🤗🤗⚽⚽⚽

Sorry if I'm going to show my ignorance, but are "Jo" and "Bal" the same person. People seem to be using the two names interchangeably, hence my confusion 😏

Rather frustrating to have the information from Oxford before we could get our xxxx together 😾
As much as I appreciate the improvement of some news, rather than none, it still makes us look pretty amateurish. Buck stops with Cleeve or whoever the latest puppet master is, to get the news to the media guy/gal.
With social media being "instant" these days, the back of house needs to get with it.
Many clubs at this level or below seem to have things sorted for match days and get entertainment revenue from social events to bolster the funds.
What the management doesn't seem to get is that they can't keep coming to supporters for more money for this or that. They need to grab some cash from outside the club as well. But I won't hold my breath on that one...🙄

Are the covers not in use ?
Under the old club I remember helping to clear snow off the pitch which was piled up on top of the covers. It wasn't an easy job and required a lot of manpower and a sense of humour helped. In the notorious "dead" area in front of the stand there was a big sigh when the covers were taken off and we saw lumps of ice all across that side of the pitch. So the next job was trying to dig pieces out of it without doing too much damage to the grass. The groundskeeper, as you can imagine, was not a happy bunny to say the least and kept running to different "diggers" to tell them that they were wrong and to stop while he explained how they should be doing it. I found a large piece of ice as big as a (small) football which would not play nicely. I had an idea... and don't try this at home children... I filled the kettle and boiled the water and whilst the groundskeeper was looking the other way... I poured it onto the big ice lump... Unfortunately I'd been spotted and the poor bloke came charging over and yelling at me for "killing" his grass. For some reason he had a complete meltdown (pardon the pun). When he stopped for breath I confronted him and asked him if he'd rather have a small patch of dead grass and explain to the management why we couldn't play..or we could just play the ******* match. I won the argument and, somehow, we were able to play that day. Ah, them were't days. A rather long winded way of illustrating that even if we had covers, it wouldn't necessarily stop ice forming in front of the stand. Anyone seen the kettle...

I don't know who or what will be blamed at the next match if/when we next run into trouble 🤔
We regularly get the one about the quality of the pitch. I'm pretty sure the weather has been blamed from time to time as well. Oh, the refs are always against us. The linos clearly don't know their job.
And now it's the supporters who are to blame. Exactly what is he expecting us to do ?
You rarely get singing or chanting from the main stand (whatever it's currently named). I don't know why, but that's just the way it is at Lynn.
It helps, of course, if we see something positive happening on the pitch in front of us to get behind and we become a bit more animated.
If it's indifferent, people start chatting to each other about the size of the turkey and how long it will take to get through it.
If it's negative on the pitch then how can we be expected to give genuine positive feedback to the players ?
Give us something to cheer about, because Lynn fans just don't work that way I'm afraid. If you're playing badly all you'll get in return is... the sound of silence 🤫
Must we all now not only pay good money to watch whatever is performed in front of us, which at times is of questionable quality, but must also give ongoing, but fake, positive feedback to the team during play ? Exactly how is that meant to help the players ?
Apportioning blame to the supporters is easy because we have no way to give "our" side of it.
Unfortunately finding the "right" support AL needs from Lynn fans is about as simple as pushing fog up a cat's bum with a knitting needle 😾

Sounds good to me
I do find it odd that people don't seem to post much after a win. Had we lost there would have been a back and forth trying to work out who did, or didn't do, what.
Perhaps they're all still in a heightened state of euphoria 😉
I shall now return to my own post - match winning "happy place" (which includes Cadburys Dairy Milk and bingeing Gold Rush) Other brands and programmes are available...
It was an away win.
More people comment when it's a home win, presumably because more of them would have been at the game.
Thanks for that B&G. I hadn't thought of that 🤔

Thanks for your kind messages.
I might still be a bit concussed, and I have an amazing collection of bruises, but I'm definitely feeling much better 🙂
I'm already looking forward to Boxing Day's dramas. Hopefully I won't be bouncing around in the stand that day 😕
