There will be a supporter's coach going to Chorley away on Monday 25th August, departing from the club at 8:45am.

https://www.kltown.co.uk/2025/08/19/news-lynn-to-run-supporters-coach-for-chorley-a/

Thanks Spiv, you win the "walking the walk" prize, which is my thanks 😃

It must have been successful or they wouldn't carry on 😺

But sadly 8.45am doesn't exist for me due to health issues 😞

General Discussion / Coach or no coach ?
August 19, 2025, 12:44:33 PM
Does anyone know how many people went on the coach on Saturday ?

Was it a full coach-full or not ?

And more importantly, will the club continue to run them ?

All you guys who know people who know people... time to show me whether you really know stuff, or are just talking the talk 😉

Your time starts now ⏳...

Don't worry m. a. I didn't know either, so you've saved me the job of asking 🤣

Don't see it as negative more balanced.

Mallard, are you saying that I'm unbalanced 😉😂

My personal opinion re the volcano ball stands dotted around was that the balls ended up all over the place.

At one point there were four on the ground ⚽⚽⚽⚽ opposite the stand. It seemed to cause confusion rather than helping.

Now last week there were several ball kids who threw balls onto the pitch as required. They also picked up balls that went out and repatriated them onto said volcano stands.

Without ball kids, the new system was self defeating and balls should be thrown out from the dugout area for speed.

With ball kids, it works quite well. It would also reduce the time wasting by supplying the ball more quickly (unless it's us wasting time of course 😂)

Perhaps the club can call for volunteers, or make money by selling the opportunity to be on-pitch with their heroes 😺

(To someone who asked me why I leave gaps between sentences, it's easier for dyslexic people to read 🙂)

For anyone left in any doubt about our (nearly) all-new team... IT'S EXCITING 😂

It was an absolute joy to see them play today and they followed up on last weekend's Friendly promise.

Now, we weren't perfect and I'm sure someone miserable will point out all the bits that went wrong, but it was so watchable.

It's so opposite from some of the painful, nail-screeching, stay at the back dross we had served up last season.

Yes, I know, we ended up at the right end of the league. But it was a horrible, painful type of football to watch.

This match was thoroughly enjoyable and it seemed as if the final result hardly mattered to a lot of supporters.

They were just happy that they finally had something to be happy about ⚽⚽⚽

That's great to hear 😺

Although I can't make this trip, I hope it's successful and coaches will be run in future 🚌

Looking forward to some of the closer matches 😇

And hopefully I'll be able to attend in future 😁

I think it said under the photo that he's still with us, but just not in the picture.

Perhaps just not available on the day 😕

Quinn. the number on your season ticket is your account number which you opened in order to buy the ticket.

The last figure  I saw for season ticket sales was 380ish a few weeks ago.

Thanks for pointing that out to me Kenny, I stand corrected 😯

Looks like I've been a bit too optimistic with my numbers, but I'll stick with my prediction, even if my calculation was flawed 😺

I've only been to the home friendlies, but I have enjoyed the proactive front foot play.

It was... exciting, which I haven't been able to say in a long time.

Such a pleasure to see us creating rather than reacting. There's had to be a lot of "firefighting" in recent times, due to the style of play.

I commented on another thread my concern for the keeper coming almost to the halfway line and taking part in the field play. He's asking to be lobbed, so will be interesting to see how that goes.

I'm really looking forward to the season and have my usual seat up "in the gods" so I can have an overview and shout rather a lot 😁

Very therapeutic and something I urge everyone to try for the sake of their mental health...plus our players will be encouraged by hearing it 😂

As for the gate : I have assumed that we have sold 800+ season tickets, as mine is 680 and I bought it at the earliest price. On top of that there should be at least the same number of days tickets, from people who want us to succeed and those who don't.

So I'm saying 1966 attendance and I really hope it's more 😺

And a 3-1 win 😯

When I went to collect my season ticket before the match, there were some people in front of me who were told there's weren't ready.

Luckily I got mine, but one chap said he'd been told he would have to wait for five weeks for it to be printed 😯 which is certainly bizarre if true 🙄

If true, how would someone get into the ground 😏 (or get their free drink for the season ticket plus) 🤔

Hopefully they will be ready for people to collect on or before Saturday 😺

So much for a new regime and a fresh start 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

General Discussion / Re: Who was at the game today ?
August 02, 2025, 07:42:47 PM
I was there today and the score doesn't reflect the game. It was a high-paced match and fitness levels appear to be good.

I'm particularly impressed with the players that have been signed in the last few days just getting stuck in.

It looks like we're going to be much more physical and some height is also welcome.

The grass seems quite long and at times it played unevenly during passes. Most of the play was on the floor. Thankfully.

There was very little heading of the ball other than a couple of optimistic hoofballs aimed at Gold when he came on.

Keeper looked composed despite not getting a clean sheet. But he was coming out beyond the centre line and playing from there from time to time, which I found quite worrying, but perhaps he's good at running backwards. Just begging to be lobbed, but the manager must be okay with his style.

I was particularly impressed by Tom Wilson, Joseph Nyahwema and Cameron Forde-Brown, the latter being chosen as Man of the Match.

And even more... the scoreboard is working again... for now 😉

I don't comment too often but read the forum each day. This is getting unpleasant and a line should be drawn now.

Agreed and my apologies to anyone I may have offended. I do get a bit carried away sometimes.

B&G I hold out my hand in friendship 🫱 and regret that I've disappointed you. We've both been around for a long time and I don't want to fall out with you over nonsense 😕

But please guys, let's end the "I know something you don't know" stuff as it's rather juvenile and should have stayed in the playground.

That said, we surely have one thing in common and that's our love for our club 🤗

And a new season is upon us. COYL 😁🎽
