Linnets' Fans' Forum

Excellent result on the road . Tough trip awaits on Tuesday night . Back to the Walks on Saturday before another tough trip on Bank Holiday Monday. 5 or 6 points from the next 3 games would do nicely please . COYL !!!!'

Winning start 1500 attendance. 12 points from first 6 games!

At last . 15 years have passed. The Trust have a voice in the boardroom. No longer on the outside playing devils advocate

Sports got battered by Posh earlier this week . So Part time v full time? I would suggest that a 20 yr old at Sports who lives with his Parents on £600 pw wouldn't need to do anything else . Trains two evenings a week  and plays on a Saturday. Nice if you can get it . Full time at the walks . Training available four days per week playing on a Saturday for maybe £900 per week . Who's got the better deal ????

Please let's look forward. Why the negativity around past managers, players etc . It seems they live in some peoples heads rent free .

Maybe an ex Linnet flying in from sunny Lincolnshire .....

Playing devils advocate. We have signed a lot of youngsters from the south. A midfielder who's been injured a lot . A striker who is 35 scored 3 last season. A young lad who's jumping 2 leagues and Gold . In an ideal world every thing will be great . I have my doubts.... Thoughts?????

RIP Mr Rudd ..... brilliant kind understanding teacher of mine at Gaywood Park early 80s . Also an ambassador for KLFC . God Bless

Last season AL set the team up not to concede, therefore our strikers opportunities were limited. Keep a clean sheet and nick a goal . AL philosophy !!! Hopefully next season will be more attack based , especially at the Walks therefore the forwards should get more chances. The crowd will go home happy as long as we win by the odd goal in 5 but if we lose the negative attention will turn to the defense. It's about a balance . Fingers crossed.

Have you seen the stewards? Why would I get involved in that ? Those people are ignorant . That said Toll has signed, let's hope he does the business at this level... with Golds help . 40 goals between them ???

Regarding Gold, I think with some people, unfortunately it's a bit deeper than how he's performing. I've witnessed people abusing him then he's scored and they don't applaud. Sad really . It's about supporting the eleven representing KLFC . It's only the end of May , let's see who the new manager brings in before making any opinions on how we'll do next season.

First of all , a little bit about myself. I've been a regular at the Walks since 1970 , my earliest memory is Wimbledon in the FaCup . I've seen 200 v March on a cold Wednesday night in the East Anglian Cup . Also the reserves v Cloalight Yaxley in the old Peterborough league and the A team turning up on 70 mins after a game at River lane in the Lynn League . Yes I've seen it all ...  My vision going forward is a successful team on the pitch, with the manager left alone to do what he's paid for . The whole community getting involved if it's a local entrepreneur giving a few grand or someone giving their time to clean or paint the ground. Everyone treated with dignity and respect, whatever their roles within our club ... COYL

Thank you Kenny . To my mind that's a standard Trust statement. Could be any club . I want to know where the trust see KLFC in 5 years time . On and off the pitch . What would a trust run KLFC  look like ?

All the talk is about SC and Bal . I would like to hear the Trusts vision for the club both on and off the pitch. This question was asked on this forum a few years ago . If memory serves me correctly, the question was never answered....

Indeed Dilly, lovely to see a few ex Linnets enjoying success, with a smile on their faces. Good luck to AL also . Let's remember he never called himself the best manager in the league......
