Whilst like most fans I'm delighted at the speed, quality and age profile of players that have been signed by the new coach for which he deserves credit along with the new owners making the decisions albeit not with the formality of there names on Companies house yet. Does anyone really believe with the exception of a couple of naysayers that this will not happen in due course when agreements with the DCMS and I assume the Trust are concluded.
However my only slight concern is the financing of this new squad against the background of the impending DCMS repayments and that the Club lost over £200k last season with a similar size squad. The only difference so far seems that at least 6/7 of the players are locally based which must save some money on accomodation and travel expenses. I just hope that the new owners are not just keeping fans happy whilst taking there eye off the bottom line. After the Cleeve years of " jam tomorrow " we now want an owner who is realistic and matches expectations to income.

Without being disrespectful some would say yes, if you really cared about the Club i'm sure spending a few extra pounds to help the finances would be the least we can all due considering the mess left by Cleeve with a huge loan which will need repaying to consider.
As a long standing fan you will know only to well the money problems the Club has suffered over the years and the new owners have pledged to run the Club in a more responsible way. I think the season ticket package has tried to please all and its a shame that you have felt differently. You cant keep comparing admission prices with other Clubs in the league who have a generous owner or much larger attendances when considering costings for the season. I do hope you get a reply from the Club but I guess the people running the Club are very busy approving players contracts at the moment with the new season rapidly approaching.

Hhmm some people seem to be making this more difficult than the reality. Statement on Club website 22nd May " Cleeve has agreed to step back from all operational matters. He has been granted the opportunity to pursue a creative commercial initiative " I don't see how you could stay as chairman without any say in operational matters and that he was aware that this title would be removed within days. Club moving forward the Cleeve days are behind us.

I would have thought if Turn ( Joe ) was going to walk away it would have already happened rather than getting further in by still paying wages etc. Cleeve told everyone quite publicly in December 2023 he had no money and could not fund Club personally and has desperately been flapping around to find other investors with no luck. Also according to Trust statements the members wont be asked to vote on giving Turn any money until the Club is in their ownership. So why people are still suggesting the opposite of this is a massive stretch of imagination.

Like I said lets judge the new setup which is in its infancy by what they do and what a start with the complete review and pricing of season tickets showing how they want to move forward with all supporters on board. Always disappointing to see the odd negative comment such as ticket discounting later in the season mentioned to undermine the good news. Lets keep moving forward and get behind what we all want a successful Club on and off the pitch

To be fair Rod its only 10 days since takeover was announced at which stage the Club had no manager/coach and only ten retained players plus a million things that had not been dealt with by the previous owner. Also Tsi statement did say there were lots of regulatory matters to be completed. Lets give them some time and hope that all the right things are being done to put the Club on the correct path for the future after 9 years of chaos.

Cant believe anyone will think fondly of the chaotic reign of an owner that has put the Club in peril of financial disaster on several occasions and left the Club with a massive loan which may take years to repay.

On the morning of the Scunthorpe game the Club had to go cap in hand to the Lord Napier to " borrow three barrels of beer " as I presume there was insufficient at the ground for the seasons biggest crowd. Club on stop ?

Maybe when Cleeve gets some of this money he will pay for the dressing room refurbishment which was done at the start of last season
