General Discussion / The big vote
« on: April 11, 2020, 04:37:06 PM »
It's the big vote next week, only 4 clubs allowed to vote from our league, that's not fair, all 24 of the high league voting, a certain Mr Barwick to thank. Do you think that is right, what do you think.

General Discussion / Cameron King
« on: January 31, 2020, 07:32:17 PM »
Its good to see King doing well at Halifax , someone  mentioned him about returning to Lynn, Also Norman, out of the two, I would prefer King, as I think he is more suited to our style of football, without being disrespectful of Norman I think our fullbacks/wingbacks in Jones and Fox have not let the team down, also with Barrows doing great as a central defender who is also a very versatile player we are very fortunate.  Lets have a forum debate!

General Discussion / The Pitch
« on: November 28, 2019, 04:21:58 PM »
It's that time of the year when we are prone to getting the part of the pitch in the shadow of the main stand frozen when ever we get 2 or 3 days/nights of heavy frost. It does not get any Sunlight. It has cost us money with postponements in the past. Let's get some sort of cover for this. Perhaps the trust would be willing to help with a few quid, I shall put in a 3 figure sum. What do you think?

General Discussion / Sam Kelly
« on: November 11, 2019, 07:49:44 PM »
I am becoming a fan of Sam Kelly, when he came on against Altrincham he made the difference, by running at their defence and put some great balls in the box, in fact he made the second goal. He was harshly given a yellow card in the last minute (right in front of me) for a foul where their player just fell over. he has also provided assists in the last few days. I think he is a talented player and he does not look out of place in our midfield. Carey is another player who can do the business, Some of our players are predictable with their passing, if we are looking for a make shift striker when Gash is suspended, what about Ross Burrows, he looks like he can play anywhere, and can head a ball, as well as a good passer.  Just ideas.  Brett McNamara has been mentioned on other posts, well he was a full back, came to Lynn as a striker, scored a hat full of goals.  Does anybody agree?

General Discussion / Warrington V Lynn
« on: May 10, 2019, 11:49:01 AM »
Well here we go, I'm glad we have radio coverage, unable to get a ticket, their press is saying its a sell out anyway.
I am going for a 2-1 Lynn win in extra time. We must take our chances as I think they have the best defence in the Non League step 3.
We can do this, lets remember early October and how things have changed. Come on Lynn!

General Discussion / Stratford Today, (i think)
« on: May 04, 2019, 08:41:47 AM »
Well it seems at last we are playing today, the club from top to bottom deserve all our support, this has not been good preparation , so lets make this home advantage count for something, If we don't go up this season , we are blameless and those in higher authority should take a good look at their total failure in this situation. Come on Lynn!

General Discussion / Monday now??????
« on: May 01, 2019, 07:24:00 PM »
Its looking like Monday afternoon, this is a complete and utter farce, I have seen that Stourbridge have considered walking away, the crap we have taken from the non league set up over the years is unbelievable. Perhaps we should do the  same, put some pressure on the league ,lets walk away, for once I don't mind giving my ticket to the chairman, he does have his faults but he doesn't deserve this , lets go again next year, do a proper job and win the league.  I know a lot of you will think I'm on drugs   but enough is enough.

General Discussion / Alvechurch v Stourbridge
« on: April 19, 2019, 11:43:42 AM »
Big game tonight at 7.30pm, The church only need 2 more points to clinch their playoff spot. Draw will suit Lynn I think? Anybody think different?

General Discussion / Jaded Lynn
« on: January 06, 2019, 09:43:56 AM »
I am interested in the opinion of other fans to what the think about Lynn looking a tired side. Jarvis, Fryatt, and Gash look dead on their feet, they do a lot of work, but sometimes they look like they are not fit. Sometimes this leads to negative tactics, easy passes back etc, rather than a probing pass. Gash (bless him) is all over the park, which he should not have to do, stay close to Marriot, who also gets through the work. Clunan is another who is often out of the game for long periods, often looks tired, but has the energy to argue with the ref. I don't know what Blake Tracy is on ,but he should give it to those mentioned, (great season)  I would value other fans opinions on this.

To those that are going New Years Day, it is a 1pm kick off, not 3pm as stated in the Lynn News.

General Discussion / Away managers.
« on: December 24, 2018, 09:07:27 AM »
Not for the first time an away manager has said how good Lynn are, and even predicting success at the end of the season, we have won nothing yet, but it is a possibility again. We can do this, next 3 games 7 points minimum, will be a hell of a good Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas, Happy Christmas everyone!

General Discussion / Coalville Saturday.
« on: December 06, 2018, 02:30:14 PM »
I don't get to many away games, but Saturday is a must. We were treated like dirt in the vase Semi final, so lets go there and play them of the park, what goes around comes around.

General Discussion / Ronnie "Jack" Thorn
« on: September 28, 2018, 06:58:34 PM »
Ronnie "Jack" Thorn passed away today, aged 83. Jack was physio mainly under Keith Rudd in the late 70s and into the 80s. He would take players in his car to away matches, and never take any money. Along with his wife Rosemary he helped to wash the kit, he also would mark the pitch and do odd jobs around the club. After leaving Kings Lynn, he went on to help West Norfolk Rugby Club, as it was on his door step. Along with his wife, he leaves a son Andrew.  A top bloke.

General Discussion / Lynn to go North????
« on: May 24, 2018, 07:49:16 AM »
The breaking news is that Nuneaton have gone under, and 1 off 3 clubs will be moved to the NPL, the 3 clubs concerned are Halesowen,
Coalville,  and Kings Lynn.
