General Discussion / Health and Safety at the Walks.
« on: May 16, 2018, 07:50:11 PM »
Its interesting that some of the Stewards are leaving, and also their training has come into question. I was trying to remember the last time we had a fire drill. At least 5 years ago, it was after a match, those seated went down the front stairs ,gates where opened (no gates now) and you made you way across the pitch away from the WOODEN stand and out of  the gates behind the goal at the Tennyson end. I wonder if the council are aware that there seems to be little interest by the club in protecting their property. Also the birds mess in the main stand is disgusting and you should not have to sit amongst it.  Its a council property so they should sort the mess out. As for the fire drill, come on SC train up the stewards, god help us if there is a fire. Remember Bradford City.

« on: April 11, 2018, 07:29:08 PM »
Does anybody know if Kettering plan on moving next season, there present ground at Burton Latimer is a step 5 ground, I  hope they have  plans in the pipeline should they go up??????   Crowd Thursday 1250.

General Discussion / Our Goal Getters.
« on: March 31, 2018, 08:58:53 PM »
After another great win today, isn't it great that our goals are coming from all over the park, Tom Ward chipped in with 2, Metts on the sheet (at last), nobody near 20 goals, but we have scored 90+ and may still end up getting a hundred plus, without winning the league. We will get at least a play off spot, if we fail to go up, we have still had a cracking season, well done to all.

General Discussion / LYNN V BASINGSTOKE OFF????
« on: February 26, 2018, 07:12:58 PM »
Looking at the weather we have in store this week, its a good bet we will not play on Saturday, unless the forecast is wrong.

General Discussion / Dunstable Saturday.
« on: February 01, 2018, 11:03:11 AM »
Those of us that were there Tuesday night its time to forget about that game, because Dunstable will fight like hell, they at trying to avoid the drop. Lets do the business and hang on to top spot.

General Discussion / New League.
« on: January 10, 2018, 02:53:47 PM »
Some of you have talking about what league Lynn will go into if promoted, well I think I am correct in saying that what ever happens we ll shall be playing some different sides next season, as I understand it there is to be a new step 3 premier division, that will make it 4  and they are to be more on a regional basis, to cut down travel etc. That's why only 1 team is to be relegated, with more being promoted from the step 4 leagues etc.

General Discussion / Parker and Jarvis
« on: January 06, 2018, 09:21:43 PM »
Today I thought that Parker and Jarvis ran the show, they linked up well with the defence and the forward play, also both unlucky not to score. Great midfield  play. A team that is top of this league deserves more than 640.

General Discussion / Simon Lappin
« on: December 05, 2017, 03:57:41 PM »
Has anybody else noticed how well Simon Lappin is starting to play, looking fitter his passing and delivery looked first class, he also  reads the game well. I wouldn't be surprised  if he plays in Clunans position for the next 3 games.  Turning out to be a good signing which can more than be said for Holt the Bolter.

General Discussion / This time last year....
« on: November 29, 2017, 02:32:57 PM »
This time last year we had a total of 24 points. To the moaners, be thankful and enjoy the moment!

General Discussion / Tuesday v Banbury.
« on: November 05, 2017, 11:47:00 AM »
Ok, Holt has gone, we lost at home, time to move on. We have not become a bad side over a couple of games. Banbury lost at home yesterday also, they will not want 2 home defeats on the trot, so lets go for it, good attacking football with Hawkins playing wide to give some service to the front men. COYL!!!!!

General Discussion / Next 8 weeks.
« on: October 30, 2017, 11:31:34 AM »
I hope our second half showing against BS, and the rubbish against Mildenhall, was a case of being over confident because in the next 8 weeks we have some tough games. Cup ties permitting its Royston at home who deserved their 3 points at their place also amongst others it Hereford at home. Redditch home, Slough home, Kettering away on New years day. there are other teams also home and away who will be no push overs. If we are still in the mix mid January it will be looking good.  just one other point, did anybody else notice how bobbly the pitch was on Saturday? Had it been rolled, and is it a good idea to let the kids have a kick about on it?

General Discussion / attendance table.
« on: August 28, 2017, 07:48:59 PM »
Has anybody else noticed the turnstile league is showing some wrong information. It has Lynn at 83rd in the league with an average gate of 461 down 15% on last season, our average crows is 888, it has us mixed up with Kings Langley.  Perhaps admin can look into this?
