A pal of mine is going to  Chelsea/Man City  Saturday,  also a Lynn fan, he is a senior and his ticket for the East stand ,£20.    Train fare also £ 20. But he now prefers  Stamford  Bridge.

I am interested to know how much SC is charging  for sponsorship for a game that will be live on TV?

I think he would gladly welcome new investment, but check on line his past history, and ask yourself, would you?

We sat in section C, there were 20/30 Southend fans in that area along with the overspill of the unused Southend squad. Spoke to some of their fans, no issues, in fact it was like the old days when we used to drink together and chat away in the old B/G club room, that's was when it would be packed out at 1.30pm. Also did anyone notice how many empty advertising boards there were?

General Discussion / Today.
« on: August 21, 2021, 09:43:09 AM »
I am trying to put a positive spin on today, but I'm having my worries. In the last 24 hours I have seen the club ask for turnstile men/woman, and Extra stewards needed. This is our biggest league game since York City, (with crowds). Its saying that 1500 Southend fans are coming, are we ready? I don't think so, as for the game itself, I'm going for 2-2, and 3500 att.

General Discussion / Southend Tickets.
« on: August 06, 2021, 10:37:31 AM »
I see they have been allocated 988 tickets. Also seating included. Does anyone know what our ground capacity is fixed at? There are so many different figures. Its also important that the Stewards are clued up, at the posh game I went to sit in my normal seat at the hospital end, and told 1 was on the wrong side.  After 3 other fans behind me managed to convince the Steward, its no relation to the position of the QE ,at the Tennyson End.
We will be on trial for this match, its important we are on the game in more ways than one.

Well, I don't know if I am the only one,but I think that  we deserved the  win. On another  day we could have  had 2 or 3. Good performances  all over the  pitch. King excellent.

I did consider buying a season ticket, but not at that price. Mark had the club at heart, and I wouldn't be surprised that he could see a backlash coming over the prices, and advised a reduction, which was ignored. Which is why he has left the club? Its not a fact, its just my opinion. I also think we should have stayed part time, we would have learnt a lot from last season, it would have been cheaper, and we would have held our own. But time will tell, and that debate is for another day. Hope I'm wrong but I fear the worst.

Hooe we keep Southwell, always looked good when picked, and worked hard. Proven goal getter. He can work well with Gash.

Think there will be about 500 tonight. We are watching a Lynn team which is difficult to relate to. Almost all the team will be gone but we should show our gratitude to them, and hopefully finish the season with some more points.

General Discussion / Re: Season end.
« on: May 06, 2021, 04:33:54 PM »
I think we should stay part time for another season, before players had to be furlough a d we were hit with injuries, we looked like we could compete, I'm not saying we would have made the play offs but we need to get the fans back on board, if we can average 1800 at this seasons prices that's not a bad income, let's see were we are in 12 months.

They could do with him back at Boston Utd, they can not hit a barn door.
