Always a hard game against Brackley. Ill take a draw, and a crowd of 790. Home again Saturday, to much in one week, not much spare cash around.

Very clueless going forward.. To make matters worse  the ex Lynn players did OK yesterday.  Around Jones scored for shots, Gold for Flyde, and Joe Taylor who has been loaned  to Colchester scored  2 in 3 minutes  against MK Don's.  Let's not worry to much.  1 defeat in 4. Early days.

Now on loan at Colchester, scored twice in 5 minutes against  Milton Keynes.

I was under the impression that all Tuesday night games were to be streamed, but  I see we are not on NLTV Fixture list for Tuesday night, or am I missing something?

Oh dear, what a disgrace some of the main stand is.  Bird mess everywhere, except  the  directors  box and cob webs on seats . Not going  anymore until I hear its had a clean  if it was cheap  then perhaps I would  say OK. But it's expensive.

Well disappointed we never won. But a great game of football.  Lots of plus  points.  Tommy Hughes excellent.  Ben Stephens to generous in trying to set up Ponticelli for his hatrick. Both fullbacks better than expected.  Only negative was Jones in goal. I sometimes think he is slow of his line, but he made some great saves.  Early days but looking good against a team that has spent  alot  .

I hate to put a damper on things (no pun intended), but this rain is forcast all day, Hereford are bringing 200+ we owe it to them also to use some common sense and perhaps get a local ref in about 12.  I think it will be off it the weather stays the same.

I think the person who looks like he is getting chucked in the deep end is our manager. More leaving, less coming in, lets see how he preforms along with his coaching staff. Or will it be an early taxi?

General Discussion / Easter Football in years gone by.
« on: April 10, 2023, 10:59:34 AM »
You hear managers now complain about the fixture workload put on their players, well the players of today have it easy compered with years gone by. I can remember Easter on the Walks season 1965-66. On the good friday which was April 8th, we were at home to Nuneaton in front of 1800+ ,we won the game 6-2, the next day we entertained Cheltenham and won 3-0, the crowd 1400, on the Easter Monday off to Nuneaton for a 3-3 draw. Mal Lindsay scored 5 that weekend. Players today have never had it so good.

I have always been a fan of TW since his arrival at the club. But last night I think he got it wrong, we seem to set up not to lose, trouble is Gold had no support only a poor performance from Barrett, who for the last few weeks has been off the pace. As soon as we went a goal down we ran out of ideas ,not that we had any, taking off Gold and Stephens was a negative step. We needed to go for it, and listening to TW interview afterwards he was watching a different game to the rest of us.
Im not sure we will go up now, if so we need to step up to the plate and quick.

General Discussion / Re: Lynn lose ground in title race
« on: March 08, 2023, 11:00:21 AM »
I know we have talked about this before, but TW does not  seem to get what it costs to watch Lynn compared to other teams, I am a senior citizen and have been watching Lynn for more years than I can remember . 3 home games in a week, for me £51, I cannot afford that, and i know for a fact there are 30 or 40 more fans like me. Everything at the club is expensive, Programes, food and drink etc., I am not in the best of health so I have to have a seat, sometimes dirty, so at times I stay at home and hope that Radio Norfolk can be bothered to broadcast the game.  As for the recent results, the team is to negative. I will be very surprised if we go up.

Tony M I like your team. Cosgrave is a must ,he is always a goal threat, and has pace to burn, come on last Saturday and set up the winner. Another player who looks class is Tommy Hughes, very good at spreading the play. Flyde at Buxton tonight. The Bucks unbeaten in the last 8 games.....dont we know it?  They owe us something for the dark arts they dished up at Lynn last week.
