General Discussion / Re: Pitch/ bad weather
« on: February 03, 2019, 10:54:33 AM »
I don't know whether to laugh or cry, someone at the club is very stupid, or does not know the history of our pitch, it does not matter if it looks nice or not, but if you get 3 nights on the trot of frost it will not thaw in a few hours. Please look at my earlier post on page 1 of this subject, this game should have been called off on Friday afternoon. To say its on, was ridiculous.

Coastal Linnet, games have been called off the day before many times.

Will there be a pitch inspection today? We all know that some of the pitch near the main stand does not thaw quickly. Alvechurch also have a tricky journey.

General Discussion / Re: Royston at Home on Tuesday

Being at home again on Saturday, fans will pick and choose which game to watch, as it is going to be extra expense.   Tonight I'm going for a 2-0 win in front of 460 fans,

Stan, I will be surprised if we come away with less than a point.

Another defender? Do we not need another striker? Or our are players out on loan being recalled?

General Discussion / Jaded Lynn
« on: January 06, 2019, 09:43:56 AM »
I am interested in the opinion of other fans to what the think about Lynn looking a tired side. Jarvis, Fryatt, and Gash look dead on their feet, they do a lot of work, but sometimes they look like they are not fit. Sometimes this leads to negative tactics, easy passes back etc, rather than a probing pass. Gash (bless him) is all over the park, which he should not have to do, stay close to Marriot, who also gets through the work. Clunan is another who is often out of the game for long periods, often looks tired, but has the energy to argue with the ref. I don't know what Blake Tracy is on ,but he should give it to those mentioned, (great season)  I would value other fans opinions on this.

To those that are going New Years Day, it is a 1pm kick off, not 3pm as stated in the Lynn News.

General Discussion / Away managers.

Not for the first time an away manager has said how good Lynn are, and even predicting success at the end of the season, we have won nothing yet, but it is a possibility again. We can do this, next 3 games 7 points minimum, will be a hell of a good Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas, Happy Christmas everyone!

I was not to excited by Jones at the start of the season, but in the last few weeks he has come on leaps and bounds, a stylish player, so good luck Jonah and get fit soon.

General Discussion / Coalville Saturday.

I don't get to many away games, but Saturday is a must. We were treated like dirt in the vase Semi final, so lets go there and play them of the park, what goes around comes around.

As its been said already, its about being clinical, there will be some half decent side turn up at the walks this season and they will get thrashed, everything will go in, I would worry if we were not creating anything, but that is not the case. A defensive error cannot be blamed for us dropping points, the damage is  being done at the other end.

I have to agree with Linnet1993 about Hawkins, its the best I've seen him play, I think the full back who was marking him was glad to be substituted , but I wonder which team is going to get the thrashing, because again we missed chance after chance. One day they will all go in. Harry Limb looked up for it when he came on.

General Discussion / Re: FT 3-3

Just back, our defence fell asleep for 20 minutes today, but it was a cracking game on which both sides went for it. I was talking to a couple of Buxton fans and they said that Lynn were the best side they had seen this season. We should have been out of sight, many chances not taken , but both keepers made great saves. We should finish the job Wednesday.
