General Discussion / Re: End of Season Black tie dinner.
« on: March 07, 2020, 11:35:21 AM »
Big story in the Mail Today, no more than 500 at a sport gathering, its yet to be past, and the longer they continue talking about it the season will be over. Should it happen sooner, we are finished.   With regards to the black tie dinner, it is a lot of money to anyone, supporters and potential sponsors alike. The virus is affecting all walks of life, markets are falling, travel and all forms of entertainment and that's including hospitality,  At the present climate no one wants to shell out 130.

Well blue and gold, my online ticket number is 226, which I purchased today, they can always be used for the rematch if called off. I am worried that our games in hand could cost us the title, all 3 extra games away.

In days gone by your club can claim expense's for a late call off, anyone know if that still applies?

Its common news in Boston that they will be selling everything off at York St, their floodlights were good enough for when they spent a couple of years in the football league, must be worth a bid?

General Discussion / Cameron King

Its good to see King doing well at Halifax , someone  mentioned him about returning to Lynn, Also Norman, out of the two, I would prefer King, as I think he is more suited to our style of football, without being disrespectful of Norman I think our fullbacks/wingbacks in Jones and Fox have not let the team down, also with Barrows doing great as a central defender who is also a very versatile player we are very fortunate.  Lets have a forum debate!

All you need to know is that the crossing is closed on match day! Follow the road to the railway station and London rd,  Plenty of parking, if you are walking, perhaps the exercise may do you good, just allow another 20 minutes depends on where you are coming from, Anyway 2-0 Lynn , Power and Gash. And a healthy crowd of 1600.

Boston would get called off if someone sneezed on their pitch.   Get Thursday out of the way, and the forecast is saying maybe a shower Friday, and bright sunshine all day Saturday.  I will take a 1-1. And it would not surprise me if the crowd was around 3000.

They could do with him back at Boston Utd, they can not hit a barn door.

Westlynn Mike, do you arrive late for  games? Steve Granger was doing the bucket collection just inside the main turnstiles on Boxing day, in fact I almost fell over him, and the 50/50 tote was on sale at the Spennymoor game, he was just before the programme seller.  As he was on boxing day also.

General Discussion / Re: V Boston (away)
« on: January 02, 2020, 09:55:40 AM »
Well I continue to be amazed by the best team Lynn have had for many years, if ever a football coach needed to learn how to stage manage a game he should have been at York Street yesterday, once we scored it seemed like game over. In some respects it was if Lynn were the home team, Boston huffed and puffed up to the final third then ran out of ideas.  The Lynn fans were great, as always when travelling in large numbers, There was over 1800 Boston fans, never heard them!  My man of the match ,Henderson, he was like a hungry dog, looking for food. Ross Barrows I think should stay a central defender. He was a close second, but all in all a great team performance.
Roll on Saturday, another top 6 team at the Walks.
