I was trying at the weekend to buy tickets and followed the link on the home page but their online sysytem won't let you buy tickets

If you're trying to buy tickets in the away end and finding that nothing happens when you click on the away end, somewhere at the top it will say something like 'Change to away' and it should bring up the ground with all the home areas greyed out and then the section in the away end which we have coloured in purple (I think?) Hope this helps

Tough midweek trip tonight but one where I'm confident we can get something from. I'd be happy with another point so I'm going for a 1-1 draw. I'm going along tonight as I'm sure a few will be. I went to Oxford earlier in the season on a Tuesday and I would easily say we made up half of the 300 odd crowd that was there. Safe travels to anyone else going tonight

I was at the match and I don't believe that the gate was anywhere near that figure, and neither did the crowd. The chap I sit near to and I regularly try to guess the attendance. We're usually not far off. This time I said 300 and he said 450. A long way off and we just looked at each other and laughed. So did most of the people sitting around us.
But, a genuine question, what would be the purpose of inflating the attendance ?
I was there Saturday and I know what 300 and 450 looks like at the Walks (I was there during the Setch days in the Southern League when crowds got bad) and there was definitely more than 300 and 450. I was guessing around the 650-700 figure. 811 is still an absolutely shocking number for this club. I overheard someone say "This town doesn't deserve a football club". I can certainly sympathise with that statement Anyway, let's all back the boys on Saturday

B & G that’s the sensible approach but when people with lots of reddies come along they turn it upside down and fans expect more especially when the the new money promises or has a vision.
Logically with the current attendance Step4 is probably our level.
Step 4?! We're a much bigger club than the vast majority down at step 4. Step 2 is our level for me at the present moment and we should try to maintain that. Even at step 3 we are one of the more larger clubs.

A team that were sitting in 2nd position and a special offer on tickets only managed to get 787 there last night.Full time and pumping loads of money into it just ain't working.To me it looks as if the fans are not buying into Cleeve and his ideas.It takes more to run a club than just chucking money at it.
The admission prices, season ticket prices, matchday experience, and the perception a number of people have with Cleeve probably all contributed to what was a woeful turnout last night. South Shields haven't been great on the pitch this season but I can almost guarantee there'll be 1,700+ there just like there was when we went last season. A club that only 10 years ago were getting circa 150-200 people through the gates. They have a magnificent setup there. We should be getting 1,000+ every week without fail but this club needs to seriously get its act together. Anyway, on to South Shields we go

Well considering a few people I know thought we were going to get played off the park and come back with a 2 or 3-0 loss, I thought we did OK against arguably the best team in our league. Defensively we look very well organised and Tom Wilson for me is an upgrade on Adam Crowther, not taking anything away from Crowther as a player. We will do well to hold on to Tom for next season in my opinion. The midfield again is very well organised and we have some very skillful midfielders in this team who will run rings around opposition players if we played it slightly more on the deck. The concern at the minute though is up front and how we play in the final third. Not only are we not getting the best out of Gold but we seem to run out of ideas of what to do once we get into the final third and as a result we don't create enough chances. Theo Williams looks OK from what I've seen of him, he's got a lot of pace but hardly anything has fallen for him (apart from the open goal he missed from 20-25 yards out but, as Lakeland said, he had more time than he realised and I wonder if the wind played a part in pushing it the other side of the post  ) to have a go at. I can see how Lakeland is trying to set us up, I just wonder if it's the right tactics for the type of players we have at the club? I do feel Curzon were there to have a go at yesterday. We forced errors from them at times when we did press them and looked to move the ball with a bit of urgency. We'll probably end up becoming the draw specialists in the league and most of our wins being 1-0 or 2-1 results but whether that gets us into the play-offs or not is something we'll have to wait and see

Have to say the attendance of 870 was a big surprise when you factor in Darlo must have brought 159/200.
Awful crowd considering we've been getting 1,000+ most weeks. I can't help but feel that there'll be some who have been put off with the £19 (slightly more for sitting) admission prices, considering our brand of football isn't exactly easy on the eye at the minute

A scrappy game all in all.
King's Lynn were very lucky to escape with a point. Fairly solid at the back and largely uninspiring in attack.
Difficult one as I feel Hereford started to threaten in the final 10 minutes which I believe is when their goal was disallowed and Jones has been forced into a terrific save at the death. We had spells when we were on top and created a couple of chances of our own. Ross Crane was played through down on the left but the waterlogged pitch held the ball up and Hereford were able to clear and Cody Johnson had an effort which came off the crossbar. I think we were worthy of a point in the end despite holding on for a bit at the end. We just need to be more threatening in the final third. I thought Hughes and Cybulski had somewhat of an impact when they both came on and I think Cybulski needs to be given a start along with Hughes. I feel we will be a lot more threatening going forward with those two but what do I know

Attendances are up but they should be a lot more as far as I'm concerned. There's nothing to stop this club achieving regular attendances of 1400-1500+ if the right infrastructure off the pitch is in place. Unfortunately I think there are a number of issues that will keep down to around 900-1100 but that is a whole other conversation.
What infuriates me about this club is just how negative and fickle some of the 'supporters' are at this club. We're 9th in the league, with a youngish squad that still need time to gel. I agree that the football hasn't been fantastic at times but it could certainly be a whole lot worse. People need to decide if they truly support this club of ours or if they'd rather be a glory supporter when things are going well.

Like him or not but without Adam Lakeland (and Sam Walker) we'd have been relegated last season - no doubt in my mind. Some, both on here and on other platforms, would do well to remember that. I think at worst, we'll end up comfortably in mid table, at best we'll just about sneak into the play-offs. Plenty of football to be played and as Kidderminster and Boston have shown the previous two seasons you can be doing nothing in mid table and then all of a sudden go on a run, get into the play-offs and win the play-offs. Let's remember this time last season we had 8 points and had just witnessed a miserable 4-1 defeat against Southport where the squad just looked totally uninterested. The same cannot be said for this current squad this season. We've had a few early bumps in the road but we surely can't judge AL purely on those results. We need to look at the bigger picture as it currently stands.

Very disappointing. Watched it on NLTV. First half KLT were so tenacious. On to everything in a flash, and won all the skirmishes. Their “skirmish” football was dominant enough to engineer chances, and they stuck them away with aplomb! It looked as though S’carbto’ were in for a pasting, but then came half-time. I could almost hear the team talk from the Seasider’s Bigwig… “Stand back a yard from the skirmishes- Get the ball on the ground and keep it there - Play in triangles, using, tricks, pass and go, and drop a shoulder when hemmed, and make chances galore”…. It worked., and disappointed us Linnets. But our team have done very well, and we saw in the second half the standard of player needed to reach half way or go into the upper pantaloons of the league!…. Hopefully next season… Dilly is very appreciative of of the efforts of the Team managers, and particularly Steven Cleeve…
Saw the standard of player needed to reach the upper pantaloons? You must be joking. They were an average side at the best and we totally dominated them in that first half and if we’d have kept it up we’d have won 4 or 5-0. We took our foot off the gas, took our most creative players off, and allowed them to have as much of the ball as they wanted. We went from the best half of football we’ve seen for a very long time, to quite possibly the worst half of football we’ve played this season. I still think we’ll be safe but christ do we want to make hard work of it

Disappointing to drop two points after Tuesday’s excellent result. On the plus side we move out of the bottom 4 ( thanks Sport) and the gates seem to be on the up at 800. Can’t complain about the fans not turning up.
Poor crowd in my view, though I suppose there are a few people still put off paying £18 for National North football and a few probably staying away because of Cleeve

Excellent performance last night. A fairly even first half with Brackley probably having slightly more of the ball and limiting them to a few shots outside the box which were always off target. They only really looked dangerous when Lynn went 1-0 up and they eventually got their equaliser and I suppose many would've called for full time there and then and take a valuable point at a difficult place like Brackley. Second half we really took the match to Brackley and started offering a bit more going forward and it was great to see McFadden (who was my MOTM personally) get his first goal for the club. I thought we took control of the match after that point as Brackley seemed to huff and puff by this point, and again we limited them to a few chances from outside the box which again went off target. The assistant manager's free kick was brilliantly taken to send the, 100 strong I'd say, travelling support into raptures. We saw the match out with ease and gained a valuable three points. I don't want to say too much but on last night's showing I think we have genuinely turned a corner. Looking forward to Saturday against Farsley (haven't said that many times this season!) and hopefully a good crowd - be nice to get a 1,000

So we got that vital 3 points win at last! I wasn’t there so could not possibly comment on the merits of our play but thank goodness we now have a fresh start to see if we can put a winning run together. Lots of draws and the odd loss will no longer suffice if we

Apart from one or two (Scunthorpe and Brackley), I can't see why we can't get either a win or a draw against all of those sides, I've been to most games this season home and away and I think the standard of this league this season has been very poor. Even Tamworth I thought weren't world beaters, they are just very well organised and have a bit of quality up top. If we can play like we did at Gloucester in the 2nd half we should have no problems whatsoever. We controlled the game and moved the ball around very well and looked like a side that had something about us. It's incredibly frustrating that we're in the position that we're in because we do have some good individual players in that squad now. Unfortunately the recruitment in the summer and the stuff going on off the pitch has probably meant we are in the position that we find ourselves. We're going to have to focus on ourselves and hope that teams above us don't put a run together either. But as everyone has said, we now need to put another win together at Alfreton (which I'm confident we can do) because going to Brackley trying to get something will not be easy by any means.

SC took the club higher than it has ever been, and frequently out of his own pocket. The attendances haven’t been anywhere near as good as he probably expected, and not enough to finance a team enough to hold their own in the very top of non-league football. The managers have all been too defensive in selection, imho. I fear that we’re not set up financially even for the current level, and I hope the Chairman maintains his interest and some of his ambition, or the Southern League may be our future…

Where we belong? We're a much bigger club than the vast majority of those teams in the Southern League (no disrespect to them) and one of the better supported clubs in National North. Even when we travel away, OK we don't take hundreds, but on a bad day 40-50 of us show up and a good 70-100 when things are slightly better. I would say at least half of clubs in National North barely take 20 to away matches, and some of those average 800-900 when they're at home. Chorley last season when they came to The Walks brought next to no one yet when we went there last season over a 1,000 showed up. Some people on this forum probably wish we were still in the UCL, turning up to Holbeach and Sleaford and being back home in time to watch Strictly. Pathetic
