General Discussion / Re: Linnets membership scheme.
« on: August 21, 2020, 03:04:39 PM »
But with only 30% of capacity permitted to attend at least you would be assured of getting a ticket.   Has to have a value

Be interesting to see the take up.
There is a clamour every season for season tickets at Carrow Road because of  the scarcity of match day tickets...which season ticket holders also often have first dibs on fortheir family and friends..
If Lynn' s attendance is limited to 1500-1600 withno away support, will there be afrenzy over the remaining tickets ?

For me, atravelling fan so no alcohol on match day, already have my Lynn scarf, who manages  6-8 home games at most.per season, the £35 scheme doesn't appeal, but then it isn't aimed at the likes of me anyway. But looking at it for more regular attendees, I still don't see it as a well balanced scheme.

I seldom miss a home game, and don't drink alcohol.
Where is the incentive to give away £35?
Mr. C always appears to be looking for something for nothing.

General Discussion / Re: Backroom Staff
« on: August 21, 2020, 01:26:11 AM »
Just like to add my opinion on the matter,

Id go as far to say 80 - 90% of the behind the scene staff, St john's and the stewarding team are volunteers. Many of them put more hours in for free, that's right completely free, than many people actually work in a week. I avoid this forum for many reasons however one of the main ones is due to the constant drivel a few people speak. Constant moaning and whinging, the club cant do right from wrong. If people supported the club as much as they moan then it would be a miracle.
:worship:

So you come on this forum, just to a moan and a whinge?
Exactly what you are moaning about others doing!
😂😂😂😂😂

Griss itís nit picking or why bring it up ,I sell programs so I guess I am a volunteer and I always buy a season ticket and do I get paid of course not so why do I do it you may ask I do it to help the club

Someone started a thread about backroom staff, volunteers have on this thread been complimented, nobody has actually been slagged off?

You're all just moaners!

most public places which are opening seem to be 25% of your capacity in walks case about 1300. Think it would be best if they stop away support. Doesn't sound hopeful if suggesting no selling of season tickets.

And no refunds!

I just saw this. Very sad news.
Unfortunately, I don't think they will be the only one.

Fantastic news.  More season tickets options will, I am sure, will now be taken up.

Main problem with Season Tickets is the "No Refund" policy.  :red card:

Not transferable either, meaning if you can't get to a game, for whatever reason, nobody else can use your ticket.

The National League has asked clubs to share their views on whether it would be feasible to play the playoffs.

The games would take place behind closed doors when safe to do so.

Teams have been given until Friday to register their opinions.

How far would you take this"null and void" regarding payments?
The season is wiped, so every player must pay back their wages, as well as any bonuses?
And the fans, do they get all money paid for admission refunded?
Of course not, it would be ridiculous.
In the unique circumstances, all leagues should just be void, and that's it. Not moral to expect players to return payment. You wouldn't in any other job.

A few have apparently compromised but the majority have said pay me me what Iím
Owed.   Only about 25% of the players will qualify for the Governments 80% wages scheme.  Plus of course the Club will have staff to pay 12 months a year.
What is your source for this? If this hasn't come directly from the chairman then it's no more than gossip which will undermine supporters' willingness to contribute themselves. If you don't have cast iron evidence for this statement then you should withdraw it.

The email trail the club has released on the website.
Would you please post on here what was said as I can find nothing about this on the club's website or the chairman's Twitter.
Admin. Would you please delete Mallard's original post as I believe it is unnecessarily provocative.

And so are you Stan.

Booing really serves no purpose.
The players already knew that wasn't up to their high standards.
They can put it right Saturday.
Get behind the team, they've been fantastic for most of the season, and they really need us all behind them now.

General Discussion / Re: End of Season Black tie dinner.

A Black tie evening is not aimed at the average fan but business people and to put the club in the window and to attract investors

So will there be another one for the poor people?
Foodbanks could offer a donation.

Perhaps it is priced that high and made a black tie event to keep the oiks away who pay week in and week out to watch the team! Will the presentations be there or not? If yess it is a sack in the face for the normal fans! :red card:
