General Discussion / Re: War Chest appeal.

I maybe wrong but I think this is the first time that all of the pitch has been dug up, it’s been tinkered with with extra drainage put in ,but never completely dug up
I thought the pitch was dug up during the summer of 1989 which resulted in Lynn playing their first four league games away.
The friendly against Nottingham Forest that season was said to mark the achievement of the ground improvements.
I could be wrong, but if it was tinkering it was pretty serious stuff.

At some time in the past, and I have yet to find out when, the pitch was levelled. Some of the early match reports describe Lynn as playing down the slope. I assume towards the Seven Sisters end.

I assume we also have Alex Brown and Dayle Southwell
Chris Henderson was reported to have signed on a two year deal in Sept 2018, Aaron Jones August 2018, Adam Marriott October 2018 and Luke Johnson in November 2019

An Information Bulletin from the Trust reports that a "stumbling block has been removed" regarding a possible club/Trust project.

A few years back the council said that they thought The Walks was unsuitable for league football.

Ironically, Chapman's decision to have his own  website kltown.co.uk rather than continuing with thelinnets.co.uk as the official site resulted in the Trust having a much higher profile than it might otherwise have got.

There was the Culey Festival Cup and the Culey Victory Cup which are mentioned in past match reports and I'm not sure whether the Culey Cup was one of these or a third cup.

With regard to the amount of money, the communication received from the Trust following the meeting with Steve Cleeve said:

"Mr Cleeve offered the Trust a seat on this “Board” in return for an annual donation of £10,000 from Trust funds.
This proposed arrangement would not provide any formal or legal involvement in the running of KLTFC or Lynn FC and as such would
fail to satisfy the aims of the Trust"

As I run a Blue & Gold sponsored website you might not be surprised that I am a member.
I do not, however, speak for the Trust and do not wish to get involved in the politics.

I was "blocked" for over a year by YLPSport but their side of it was showing we were following each other and, unlike you, I'm in the UK not Australia!

or 351 if you include the Joma Cup match . . . and if you don't then, by the same criteria, Mick Wright might not have made 1152 appearances.

The FA website leaves much to be desired. You can't drill into Lynn's record on the Fair Play League - I reported it as a fault two seasons ago.

Our best was two votes in the 1957-58 season when we were in the Midland League.
Not sure how it worked then. Applicants for promotion to the Football League that season came from Midland League, Lancashire Combination, Southern League, Birmingham & District League and North Eastern League.

Except for the one and bit seasons in Conference North this is as high as the Linnets have ever achieved and that wonderful time bust the club. Be careful what you wish for.

The highest Lynn achieved was in the late 1950s early 60s when we received one vote in favour of us being elected to the Football League
