Is that really all they can do ? I beg to differ.  They can also be unhappy with the pup they were sold at the start of the season.

Nice of you to show your concern for ' my 'ole sparring partner' not seen him in a while but as I understand it is health is improving and waiting for an op.

As for any snippets of info I get then let's just say you would be a little shocked where they come from. Much higher up the food chain.  Most of of what I hear I can't even be bothered to to post about.

Marionette or whatever that's fine with me. As for this Puppet Master as I understand his strings are regularly pulled.

Gepp tell me what do you think of the job Bal has done this season ?  He ast one for you there. Mirror Mirror on the wall.

Let's hope for a win Saturday, in front of a big crowd.  Last payday of the season

It will be interesting to read Bal's end of term report, that is if he's still in the job to do a report.

Not much from the puppet master today

It could get a bit squeaky bum time in the run in.  IF we do go down or stay up then what a first season for the new ownership model and the CEO in particular.  Burnt through 4 Managers and god knows how many players.  Bal will need to take a good hard look in the mirror.

Quote from: Geppetto on April 07, 2026, 12:43:53 PMYes agree that if we stay up some interesting conversations to be had and decisions to be made. I know from previous posts you were a fan of Culverhouse so do you think Bal was right to offload him for Caddis ? During ICs time in charge he managed an average of 1 point per game and Caddis is currently 1.33 points per game.
I cant imagine that managers were lining up to take on a team in a relegation scrap so fair play to Caddis to stand up and give it a go. Lets hope he gets us over the line.

100% Cully should have gone. He didn't produce, results don't lie. So would have to agree with you that Bal got that one wrong as well.

Another player to consider is Gysai.  With his internal disciplinary meeting next Tuesday then depending on the result of that he might be added to the players who should be retained.

Assuming we stay up in the NNL which players would like still on board and would you give the Managers job to Caddis ?

I'd stick Clements, Wilson, Williams, Crane, Dickens, Doherty and Forde Brown.  As for Caddis, no way.

Trouble is after Bal has appointed 4 Managers this season would you trust him to eventually get it right 5th time lucky ?

I'm also hearing that Joe Simpson has gone.  Has anyone seen anything of him or heard that he is no longer there ?

Have to give full credit to PC.  He has certainly turned things around.   Feel we can breath a sigh of relief with regard to relegation now. It's been a very strange ole season.

I see the same media outlet is now giving us two match reports.  It's interesting as it seems quite obvious that one report is coming from a reporter who is actually at the game while the other it seems is just cobbled together from the radio commentary.

Interesting we have signed a player on a multi year deal.  Certainly puts out a strong message, going forward.

Geo you mention about works  not being completed.  What works needed to be carried out?  Did this involve the problem of rooting wood etc in the main stand ?

The fans won't be able to accuse Bal of dragging his feet on appointing a successor to Cully.  However with Cully shown the door am yesterday and the new guy being announced pm yesterday, it does beg the question how many other Managers were approached and/ir interviewed ?

I really hope Bal gets one right for a change and the new guy can work with him

If the CEO can't get the basics right then the rest of it falls

Surely a prime piece of land beside The Walks would be worth more than the cost of building a ground on the outskirts ?

Just asking what people think the idea of the club relocating to a new purpose built, out of town new Ground ?

Historically the pitch suffers when we get heavy rain and the drainage system can't cope.  When we get freezing conditions the area under the main stand never thaws.  Factor in the stand needs some serious money spent on it with rotting timbers etc.  Generally the ground is looking very run down.  With improvements  needed  to pass the latest Ground grading is The Walks coming to the end of its shelf live ?

It's a tough call. If the Council provided a modern ground  with training facilities and an artificial pitch ok  All funded by the sale of The Walks for development  On the other side we have a Town Centre location steeped in history.

What are people's thoughts ?

I understand that Bal was over in Ireland last weekend.  Was this to look for further investment and did the trip prove successful ?
