Maybe they need some form of incentive to advertise it.

Thanks Paul, I was unsure if the Prem had replaced the old Div One in ICís time.

Will be interesting to see how well Lee Clark does at Blyth.  Impressive CV. Huddersfield, Birmingham etc.  Did he ( like IC) have a spell as a number 2 at Carrot Road?  Maybe under Roeder ?

I thought the Gresham tie up involved Ray Hall.  Is he involved with the New Academy?

Did IC play in the Premiership or was it the old Division one?

Player Iím looking for forward to seeing at The Walks next season is Jon Parkin. Will be a sight to behold watching him running the channels  :laughcry:  Streaky and McAuley will need a good nights sleep before that one.

Thatís right Paul, itís early days.  I think the reason a club like Dereham are so successful with their Academy is through the tie-up with Easton College.   Why are we not tied up with our local College.  Surely that has to be high on the list to make it work.

Rumours are that the Manager went as the budget had been cut and some players were not paid up from last season and subsequently left for new pastures.  Though I understand Kettering denied this was the case.

A few ex Premiership players managing in this League next season.

Lee Clark at Blyth
Steve Watson at York
John Pemberton at Kiddy.

Any others people care to add ?

If they donít want the Reserves playing on it maybe they donít want it over used for Friendlies.  They need to keep it in decent nick for the 8 Academy students they have signed up.

Are there any Sports that are 8 a-side ?  General question as nothing much going on at the moment

Chilly, if you decide against sponsoring the Reserves ( perhaps understandably) then why not look to sponsor something with the first team.  This would perhaps give a better shop window for your Company and in turn support the Club and Stephen in his ambitions.

Are they Jesus ? I thought there were lots of new sponsors coming onboard.

Is that a fact that they only have eight signed up ? How can they play games without using kids from other places or bringing in some of younger Reserve team places on an ad hoc basis.

Surely Ian Culverhouse wonít want to put his name to this ?

Chilly are you still sponsoring the Reserves next season ?

They have a 2nd pitch there.  Not sure if the lights are able to be switched around.  I know Dereham have that capability with their lights and training pitch.

KES Matey I was meaning the first team training at Wisbech.  I seem to recall when IC was with us the first time Wisbech was where we trained.  As they are looking to protect the pitch at The Walks and the new Academy will be using it throughout the week then will the First team have to train elsewhere.

Will this deal with Wisbech also see IC taking training there as well ?  Wisbech are not flush with money so a few loaners from Lynn  might also smooth the path.  Maybe Wisbech will be one Lynnís Ďnurseryí.

Would it not make more sense for Lynn Reserves to drop to The Anglian Combination ?  It is only one level lower than The Thurlow Div One, but the ground standard requirements are much less.  They could then play at Lynn Sport or some such venue.
