IMHO. All bets are off with regard to crowds next season.   Come October when all the Furlough support for business is finished we could end up with unemployment figures at unprecedented levels.  I  Think those people who are out of work will have more important things to spend their money on than £20 plus at The at the Walks.   It might also have an adverse affect on travelling support as well.

My hope is that with players being paid 30% less ( SCís words) that the savings will go to support those Lynn fans who cannot afford the £20 admission fee.   Letís try and make it affordable for all.

On the subject of Chester and ĎWar Chestsí. I see that Chester (supporters owned Club) have raised an impressive 26k in the opening week.   How much has Lynnís appeal
Raised in its opening 3 weeks ?

What with Darlo and now Chester getting great support from their fans, are there lessons Stephen Cleeve can learn from this, or at least be prepared to learn from this ?

I donít know about anyone else but Iím suffering from withdrawal symptoms from not having a Stephen Cleeve podcast for, what is it now, 4 days?

Come on Stephen there must be something to report.   Having listened to a lot of them I must say the one that included Stephen trying to work out what the Majority of 32 was the highlight. :nilpoints: :laughcry:

In all seriousness during this time of lockdown any news on the Club is much appreciated.  A big Thank you Mr Chairman.   Get that chequebook ready for next season

Can kicked further down the road again.  This lot really are a joke.  Once this is sorted heads should roll.  This National League Committee/Board should not be anywhere near running a Football League.

Sounds very much like someone has been caught out telling porkies.

Is Mark Hearle now back from Furlough ?

Blimey that is some marketing initiative, Squire.
Looks like they have a very innovative and forward thinking marketing dept at Bromley.  The fans seem to be buying in to that modus operandi.

I think throughout each League you get variations in price.
Squire,  what sort of gates did Bromley enjoy for that kind of money ?  Hopefully it paid off for them

With the seemingly positive news coming out of the EFL meeting.   Do we dare look ahead to next season ( whenever it may start).?

Season Tickets and general admission costs will be one of the first things to be sorted.
What are peopleís thoughts on this.  How would the following sound ?

General Ground ( standing) £18
Seating  right and left hand side £21
Seating  mid stand     £25.

Then how about a £1 surcharge per ticket sold to go to the War Chest.

Tin helmet is on, but  for Step 1 Football I think the prices are about right. ( based on 2019/2020 prices)

Thoughts ?

I would say the owners of Darlo were all pulling in the same direction. As is the Kings Lynn owner.

How far is SC toward his 50k target after a week ?  Darlo owners raised 131k in a month.

Think Mr Hill should adjust your post above or if not perhaps Admin should do it for you.

Think Star are based in Thetford, Ram.  If Marriot things he is worth more than we can afford then good luck to him.  Thank him for last season and wish him well.  Surely then Mr Cleeve isnt prepared to be Held to ransom by one player, and then pass it on to the fans.

Itís the business model that needs to play catch up at the club.   Darlington is a fan owned club and those fans have raised around 1.5m in the last 8 years to support the club THEY OWN.   Lynn is not based or run on the same MO as that.   If SC needs to raise cash quickly to tempt Marriott to stay then sell a bit of the club.  Not difficult is it.

With the latest Ďideaí if the 50k target isnít met and Marriott plies  his trade elsewhere, is it then going to be the fans fault ?

Some might say Ďwhatís the rush ?í  Itís not as though Football at Lynn level ( step two or even one) is likely to start anytime soon, if at all this year.

Then you look at scenes in Parliament Square in London ( and many other places) and think why not ?  We hear the all important r rate is back around 1 ( and even over 1 in some areas) abd wonder what is the point.

Itís either legal or illegal to have mass gatherings, for whatever reason.  If thousands can pack into London and other Cities on protest rallies then why canít they pack into Football stadiums ?

Crazy Crazy World.   Boris and his other Circus performers must be very proud of themselves.
