I would have expected Harry to accept an offer of 250k (rumoured ) for 3 weeks work.   :farmer:   As for Delboy that was only because of John Sullivanís pen.  Del even went to Hull and back, not to mention Margate for The Jolly Boys Outing.   :laughcry:

Amazing that Arry would be looking to buy a Club.  With his Golf, Horse Racing, TV work and Sandrís jam roly poly pudding.  Even more that he should be interested in a club in Scotland with his love of his home in Sandbanks ( who can blame him).    Still sells a few papers.

Looks very much like those last 6 games only bringing  in 4 out of 18 points, including 3 home defeats could prove very costly.

Really sad to see Ryan being released.  I would suggest he didnít gobble up to much of the budget either.    Though with Chris Smith signing a new deal it perhaps indicates that Rory and Chris will be Maybe the first choice pairing.   Factor in we also have Tom Ward and Ross Barrows who can Play there it might be considered overload in that area.   Maybe itís feeeing budget up to spend elsewhere.

Always sad to see a local boy go, especially when he has come up through the ranks. Wish Ryan all the best and hopes he gets fixed up at a decent level whenever Football at Non League level re-starts.

Not surprised to see Nathan Fox go.  Seemed well out of favour on the lead up to lockdown and with the club paying money to bring in a left sided defender I guess it was obvious he would be released.

Seems like at The Football Club life is carrying on as normal.  Yet when you see a higher level club like Solihull showing 15 players the door, ( including Ex Dereham striker Danny Wright), it does make me consider who has got this right and who hasnít.

General Discussion / Re: Chairman's podcast

Iíve listened to some of each podcast, but must say at 1.5 hours is beyond my attention span for listening to two people chat.

Having said that I do find interesting snippets and have to congratulate SC in some of his forward thinking ideas/ways.  Although for our level some bounce straight off the ball.  Still you have to admire the guys sprit at giving it a go and doing something to keep that fans engaged during these turbulent times.

In the last podcast in  the Q&A section ( best part for me) it was interesting to hear that SC hasnít ruled out supporter involvement in the Club at Board level, going forward.  Be interesting at some point  on one of his podcasts to see how he thinks that will play out.   Also how he sees other future investments in the Club to help share the load.

One other podcast Iím sure the fans would love to hear is one involving SC with Ian Culverhouse.  Getting his thoughts on the past season.  Thoughts on the future.  Squad strength.  Plus the game in this Country as it stands today.

How about it Mr Chairman ?

I was reading the NLP at the weekend ( my Sunday highlight). Two articles caught my attention.
Boreham wood Chairman stating he canít see any more football being played at our level in 2020.  The 2nd article was on National League Top Div side Solihull releasing 15 players last week.

Again would love to hear Stephenís take on those 2 news stories

I'm sure the Chairman will be aware who the person is, and what name he goes by on social media sites.

Iím sure he does. You never know, he may even get a mention on the Chairmanís and Mark Hearles podcast !

🤣🤣🤣

Really? He has been taking part in some of Stephen Cleeveís podcasts, so I would hardly think so.

Maybe email Mark Hearle direct as he is head of commercial activity.

A deposit on the Clubhouse canít amount to a whole heap of beans.  Poor from the club if this is true.

Maybe Mark would like to comment on behalf of the Club

No worries WLM.

Looking at the debts EFL are mounting up.   Football looks in big trouble.   Then again itís been allowed to continue mounting up debts over the years without any attempt to control it.

Spot on WLM.

So Swindon up from EFL2 to EFL1

Barrow up from. National League Prem to EFL 2

Wealdstone up from National League South to National League Prem

Bury to drop in National League North

Brackley (?) move from National League North to National League South.

....and then we have the Articles that say the three Step 2 Leagues cannot be treated differently. If a National League Team (Barrow on PPG) and a South League Team (Wealdstone on PPG) are promoted then the North League Team (King's Lynn on PPG) are not promoted the North League have been treated differently.

Even if ALL Step 1 and Step 2 Leagues decide to Null and Void it still leaves EFL 1 a team short - but that is how this 2019/20 Season started.

3 step 2 Leagues ?   Where is there a 3rd one ?

Surely there has to be Promotion, even if itís by default.   EFL DIV 2 running one team short.  So Barrow will move up into the League.  Then the team National League Southern will move to ( best PPG).  Bury to join The National League North, with a team from that League being pushed into the National League South ( Brackley?)

If the above were to happen how costly will the slip ups at home  against BPA/Guiseley have been ?

Maybe Stephen Cleeve in his next blog should, address the issue of what would happen if he had to mothball the club for a season, and would it be possible?

Have to agree Dilly.   With all the messing about on voting for this and not being able to come up with a satisfactory answer., do people really now give a toss how this season ends? Past caring here.

The powers that be at non Levels 3-5 should be applauded.  No messing, straight in closing it all down and The Leagues becoming null n void.

As for next season, reading/surveys  reports 40% of those surveyed would not attend a Sporting event until a vaccine is available.
