General Discussion / Re: Linnets go goal crazy again.

Faye I think Majesty has his opinions, as we all do.  We might disagree with some of it but he certainly has the right to express.  I have my view which many disagree with, that's fine by me. Just put up a constructive argument then no one can complain.

As for Rowe, he certainly has put his full commitment into the project.  We want exciting Football with top level team.  He is achieving that on an amazing 30% less budget from last season..  Football is a very volatile business.  The more successful and exciting we are the more attractive the team looks. Both on and off field.

Think Merthyr not bringing many contributed to the lower number.  Plus home games on Sat-Tues might always tests people pockets.  You are right the crowds will come to watch the stuff served up this year in comparison to the stuff we were subjected to last season. So would hope the average gate will continue to rise. That was the reason I was surprised the figure was down for Saturday.

What was your take on the game Vera? Did you feel Merthyr were worth a goal
Or two ?

4-0 home win was an impressive result.  Thought Merthyr were better than that.  At 2-0 they had a spell were they missed 3 gilt edged chances in the space of 10 mins.  Rowe changed things bringing  on Collins in place of an ineffective Nyahwena. That got everything back on track.

Not sure who was given MOTM but the stand out for me was Hall-Johnson.  Great wing back performance was a big attacking threat down the right, coupled with a fine defensive performance.   Icing on the cake was the third goal that ended the game as a contest.

Surprised there was a 15% drop in the attendance but maybe some are holding back for the Kiddie game on Tuesday.

Rowe getting sent from the dug out was a bit unfortunate on the day he features in a video about fans behaving themselves etc after the Club's recent FA punishment.  Maybe Bal needs to have a quiet word in his ear and suggest he tunes down his excitable behaviour in the technical area.   Will that be just a one game ban, or has he got history ?

Tomorrow Jo, Bal and a Trust Board member ( as a representative) added as new Directors ?

Mallard &  Blue & Gold should be on that list. With their intelligence networks, they would be invaluable to the running of the Club

Why would I be on any list Marcus ?? Strange comment

General Discussion / Re: Club charged by FA.
August 28, 2025, 01:53:27 PM
Just couldn't write it.  Last December, why has it taken this long to bring the charge?

Have to feel for Bal.  not happening on his watch and he gets stuffed with the 3k fine, part of the ground  being closed off.  Then opening game of the season sees the game stopped by the assistant referee calling over the ref for something that has been said in the same area of the ground, yet again.

Have to wonder what out overseas owner thinks to all of this.  Hopefully he has pushed back on Bal to get it sorted.  Then factor in sponsors/investors having 2nd thoughts on getting their company involved with a Club which seems to have an ongoing problem.

I wonder how much in fines SC racked up on his watch.

Football has always attracted a certain element who aren't there necessarily to watch football.  Some just go to hurl abuse or look for trouble. It seems the pro game have a handle on racial abuse as was shown with the Liverpool v Bournemouth incident.  I'm not sure at our level very much has changed.  Only had to look at how our security guys dealt with the alleged incident at the Telford game.

Small transport company suffering damage like this to a brand new vehicle. Have to feel for them. Sounds like it was a good thing Lynn lost.

Always seems to be off the field issues in Football.  Racism still raising  its ugly head. Now vandalism.  They must have waited around after the game to carry this out as the team coach won't have left straight after the game.

Tuesday at home to Kiddie.   Maybe JR will set up differently with Jonah between the sticks.

He certainly likes to put a positive spin on things even a 4-0 defeat.  Plus he does like to lay it in a bit thick with 'it's the officials fault'.   He does tend to get the attention of the officials with his theatricals on the touchline.  Then again so did a certain Steve Evans.  Not sure if it does the team or indeed the Club any favour's. Not to mention his blood pressure.

Think he'll call it for what it is.  Poor day with lack of discipline.
The Chorley Manager's interview was interesting.  He didn't think they were at their best.  Bit leggy after Saturday.  Gave Lynn Credit for making a decent fist of it at 1-0 and down to 10 men.
The 2nd sending off sealed the game.

He also went onto say Lynn players were well fired up from the off.

Uptoon you have shocked me that you know people who would actually pay money to watch Lynn in the hope they get beat.

Maybe now the Trust are fully engaged at the Club then all supporters attending will be fully behind the project. I have to say in the two opening games at the Walks it's been very upbeat, despite not having won a game yet.

Let's not all get carried away with this result today.  Not a bad day at the office an awful.  It happens.

We have seen enough with this team that we are all about attack. Going down to 10 and then 9 will always be an issue.

Positives are despite a 4-0 drubbing we only drop from 7th to 8th.  Plus Rowe will fire these players up for next Saturday so look out Merthyr, you could be on the receiving end of a wounded animal.

Rowe hasn't gone from JR to a J Arthur overnight,
