In fairness Marriot was well looked after and serviced by Gash.  The total was maybe greater than the sum of the parts.

Was happening with Jones now ?  Made the bench two weeks back but not been seen since.  Or Was the appearance on the bench just a ‘filler’?

With what we have I cannot see us in any danger of relegation. Then again by the same token with this squad we won’t make the top 10.  Maybe avoiding the bottom 3 is the target for the season.

The problem is with a bottom half look to us what gates will that attract. ? I read in Saturday’s EDP SC stating he is appointing a Commercial Director and then a Sales Consultant.  Plus a few other ideas on the table. Hmmmmmm

We look a decent team but scoring goals looks a real issue.   I wonder if SC will be prepared to dip ( deeply) into the loan money ( or fund it himself) to bring in a proven goal scorer that will turn defeats into draws and draws into victory?

We so miss Cameron King we were crying out for him yesterday.  To me that’s a close we are too being a top 10 team.

Winning games at home would bring in the fans whilst being in the bottom 6 could see gates of under a 1000 as a regular theme.   Difficult one for the Club to manage.  Bit of the old Chicken and Egg situation.

Have to think Jones will be disappointed with the 2nd goal. Also on corners we seemed to be hanging balls up in the air which made life easier for their keeper and defenders.

One would hope that the owner has done his sums and knows what is needed to compete at this level and indeed where the funds would come from to support it.

Here’s a few ideas what he maybe looking toward.

FA Cup run
NL payment ( each season)
Outside ‘investment’
His own pocket.

At the outset SC declared his intention of bringing EFL Level to the Walks.  Surely as an experienced businessman he has done his homework on how this could be achieved.   Or maybe he is just flying it by the seat of his pants.

No CM in the building, admission prices that are seemingly not attractive to some would indicate our owner has other cards up his sleeve to make the thing work.

I’m sure Malc will let us know what’s going on when he has something prepared.   With a 2 hour meeting I’m sure lots was discussed and plans formulated.

Let’s just wait and see.   Over to you Mr Chairman

Top of the League visitors, live on BT and no Match Day Sponsor on the Wednesday before a Saturday game.

What are we doing as a Club ?   I take it we still haven’t appointed a CM yet.

Some of us don’t live that close to make a meeting.  Doesn’t mean we cannot support things from a distance.

What events have been lined up 47 that we can offer our support to?

Update on the FOTL's meeting last night.

I am reliably informed that Grissles saved himself £5 on the total cost of his beer last night.

 :laughcry:

Why was it only a short meeting ?  :laughcry:

Fair due’s Malc I didn’t know that.  Maybe you could run a golden goal ticket alongside the 50/50 ?

The lad does work extremely hard.  As they say the harder you work the luckier you get.

If he keeps up this type of form then it won’t go unnoticed.

If SC has got it all wrong in terms of pricing then he may well have to hold his hands up and admit to having got it wrong and adjust things accordingly.

I seem to recall an advert being out there for a new CM, maybe two months back, yet seemingly no appointment.    Which club at this level can afford to operate without one ?

Bizarre

Hope you get a good turnout Malc and it’s a real think tank of ideas to take things to a new level.

One little question Malc.  The money you raise from the 50/50 does that go into the Friends funds or just go direct to Stephen Cleeve ( The Club) ?
