Surely Toll has to be a better option in the squad than Gold.  Least Toll looks like he's interested.  Don't get what a Manager like Rowe sees in a Gold.  Didn't think he would fit his MO at all.  Still Rowe seems to fancy him

Be interesting to see how it all plays out and how much info the Trust will actually be given.

One thing I guess The Trust can now remove the word 'Independent' from the website.

Can we now assume that the Club ownership will change hands ?  I thought that would be the reason for the rush in getting membership  approval.

At least now the Trust has a voice, albeit  not a very loud one..  Whisper perhaps 🤷‍♂️

Looks a very positive step bringing all those groups together.  Fair play to the Club.  Good to see the First team back training in Lynn.  Big saving I would guess as well

Just reading what the Clubs media dept put out, as you can see.   As you are obviously a person of much greater knowledge you could show us where that knowledge has come from ?

And less of the the patronising 'keep up'   Nobody loves a smart ass

According to the Club it's a DCMS loan not a Sports England loan.  Unless you know different Vera Surely we can trust what comes out from the Clubs website.  Especially on an important subject like the Club being taken over.

To facilitate this transition, Mr. Cleeve has agreed to step back from all operational matters. TSI has been granted irrevocable Power of Attorney to oversee the Club's decisions during this transitional period while regulatory processes are underway.
As part of the agreement, Mr. Cleeve has been granted the opportunity to pursue a creative commercial initiative designed to support the Club's financial recovery and help address legacy liabilities, including the outstanding DCMS loan. Further details of that initiative will be announced in due course.

Archie Crowther signed from Alvechurch.

There have been massive influx of players this summer.  No surprise you let the odd one slip by you

Bal has said he has been making contact with DCMS, so think we should take him at his word. If not it really is a worry.

Really think this situation needs clearing up PDQ.  Don't want rubbish like this hanging about. Let's not judge Bal until he gets the chance to clarify the matter.

Sounds very much like whatever 11 Rowe goes with he is going to have a strong bench to change things, as and when needed.

How about Fletcher Toll ?  Seems to have not had a lot of headlines thus far.   Maybe still playing catch up to full time training etc ?

Birch, interesting post.  Having not done a friendly I'd like to have your take on who has looked the stand out players for you.  Plus any thoughts on how we will set up ( in terms of formation) and who would you see as a rough guide to a starting 11 ?

Be interested to hear what others think as well

I have no issue with Mr Cleeve, still maintain he done some good things and wish him well for his future endeavours. Some were against him for the start but that's life.

As to last season football wasn't great but got results and we made the play offs. Guess it depends if you see football (or any sport) as it is....which is all about the results.

I would respectfully suggest those that had doubts over SC when he came in might well have got it right.   You only have to take a look at the balance sheet to see his legacy. He certainly managed to alienate a lot of people.

I guess people have their own reasons for watching the game. Last season definitely wasn't for me.

As you said on another post the fayre that was offered last season wasn't great. So really you cant blame people for refusing to pay over the odds for the turgid stuff served up last season.. I was certainly one in that camp so my car load only did a few games last season.

Read your post about the football Rowe is putting out there and it is sounding like a totally different style. So I'm sure  a lot of people will be returning to give it a look.

I know you were a big supporters of the previous owner when and what changed your mind ? I guess a lot of people got there before you.

Certainly think Rowe has gone about his business in a quiet efficient way.  Interesting what he has put together with a 30% budget cut.  Says much about the last few years.

400 plus season tickets sold is also impressive. I see it more as a vote against the old regime rather than whole hearted support for the new ownership model.

First game of the season has a lot riding on it.  I can see a lot of the former supporters turning up to give it a l look.  If they like what they see then  Jo might be onto something.

Let's hope the media team gets behind the opening day.  It's not so long back they were firmly in the Cleeve camp and weren't really receptive to the incoming Jo ( and sidekick Bal).  So let's hope they really top it up over the next 3 weeks.

Was it a decent crowd for the Posh game last night ?
