Reaching the English Derby Final is no mean feat. Good Open race dogs cost a good few grand to say the least and a lot of Money people are prepared to pay out big sums just to get a Derby Prospect. There are a lot of Professional trainers out there with huge kennels ( as in the number of dogs in training). I guess 10k for finishing 4th aint to shabby a result either.
Be good to see Boonie back a the Club at some point. He did a decent job last time around and deserved better support than he got.

My nephew in Northants who follows Rushden has suggested Quigley will be playing for another Northants Club Next season where he will be joining an Ex Lynn manager.
Apt really as he was strong as steel in the tackle.

Rod, I think you will find that Smith was fit and raring to go at Stamford pre-season. They played Boston in a friendly and the Boston Defence couldn't cope with him, hence why they went in for him. Think it was the player himself who decided to get lean and mean during the summer. A ft Smith is certainly a handful. For Lynn he will just go down as let another striker that didn't perform for us. Hardly an exclusive Club, is it ?

I wonder if Jack will just be bit part player gain for The Pedlars. ? Hunty certainly has some pulling power to get a player like Jack over to Shoemakers Lane.

Maybe Rod Setch can go back and talk to the lad again, after all are the signing on forms out yet ? and anyway Stamford and ourselves play in different Leagues so might be worth a call. Miller is one I think we could have done with keeping.

Remember someone telling me Hall left Stamford last season because of Robbins apparent lack of effort and didn't want to play in the same side as him. Back for a 2nd try this season, under a different manager.
They are putting a squad together that shouldn't be in relegation trouble again next season.

With the improved budget coming Setch's way.... What's the betting he will be at The Walks next season ?

Would be a decent player for us, if he has cleaned up his act.

Now that would show real ambition to get him on board. Image the goals that would come with a front 2 of Sands and Mettram with Stevo in just behind. Got to be 50 goals plus.

I don't thin k he is Rod, The few times I have seen him he looked as though he has added a bit of timber and was getting done for pace, thus mistimed tackles etc.

Seddon has had a good few clubs, including Rushden and Kettering. Was a pro at Bury but injury forced him out of the pro game. Don't think he is playing tonight
