Saturday EDP stated that Lee Smith could be taking early retirement. Maybe more freed up to sign John Sands. Does this mean the wage structure is about to be thrown out of the window ?

You are spot on Tazzy. Mind is has taken a while and someone like Backie to wake the thing up to start moving in the right direct. Still better late than never, as they say

Local = Cheap. Tazzy ?? Surely not. Local or otherwise they should all be be on around the same match fee.

Understood that Tazzy. The point is you cannot just ignore the loan facility as its a tool to be used by the Manager when he sees fit. There can be differing reasons. The need to replace an injured/suspended player when there is not the quality available from the Reserves. For example Street. The only senior keeper at the club. When he has been banned before Setch has always not looked at the Reserve team keeper to come in. In fact didn't Street even play NSC games? Another reason could be that there is a player you are interested in signing but want a good look at him first. The Sands situation I would suggest.

The Friend loan deal doesn't really fit either of the above. Was an unusual arrangement him coming to us when not wanted at Boston and then played very few games.

It never stopped Rob Hughes from getting a regular starting place. One week of directing traffic and his place was secured

And Friend Robbo ?  Spent most of the season on the bench was he really any better than having one of your own youngster sat on the bench seeing what this level was all about ?  Really don't get the point of having a loanee in and then sitting him on the bench.

It would if all revenue was devoted to first team matters Tazzy. Mistake, but let's not forget the same MO was where we started back. A reserve team had to be funded by parents friends, people like yourself Tazzy not by the Club. It's is only next season it is all coming under one umbrella after the likes of yourself and Backie have shown them how it should be done.

To be fair to Lowestoft they did play a couple of seasons at step, something that so far we have never really looked likely to achieve. So let's be careful who we criticise.

What was Whites playing history ? Seem to recall he had a spell at Wisbech. Did he play at Fakenham as well ?

If you are playing in any League then surely the aim at the outset has to be attempting to win it.  Lowestoft had a dream and lived it for a while. They reached a level that they could not progress from.  Did they enjoy the ride from Jewson League to step 2 ? In the main I would suggest they did, but it came at a cost. Huston recently enjoyed the same dream and even went one higher. Now they are falling back looking to find their new level.

It's good to enjoy the high life cos there's plenty of down times waiting just around the corner.  Look at the great season Leicester have had. Dreams like that come along once in a lifetime if you are really lucky.

New Recruit, which was the best period for Lynn in your memory, and why ?

Average gates 20% higher than ours. Who would have thought that a few short years back and that in a relegation season for them. Think they had a reduced budget and ran with a small squad.

Next season should give me more free time of a Saturday so hopefully will get to see the Reserves in action, Tazzy.  Backie, yourself and the others backers have done a fine job. I hope next season will see this continue. You guys have built some bridges between the club and the fans, that needs building on and hope you will have the chance for this to continue. It would be a massive step backwards if now The Reserves are back under the Owners unbrella that things would change. As things stand you are offering what seems to be a decent product for a fair price.  I hope others won't see it as a chance to make a fast buck. Let's see.

It was me you posted the fixtures from season 70/71 which clearly shows Easthall scoring in a 2-1 win with Rudd scoring the other.

Not heard that one before Tazzy. Where did the idea that Setchs boy only got a game because of who is Dad is.? I have only heard good reports of the boy. I guess some people like a story, even when there's not one there.

When you look at the list of ex pro's at Lowestoft you have to question why a team with that much quality ended up going down. Killip, Spilane, Fisk, Two Jarvis's Eagle, Read Crowe.  Maybe the problem's laid further up the chain. No Chapman no Fleming. First season without their hands on the rudder and they go down.
