Tazzy, your dedication to the Reserves is to be commended.  I wasn't suggesting for one moment that you should take on any fulltime role or desert the Reserves on match day.  More that you use whatever skills you have used in the guidance of the fund raising activities for the Reserves, and transfer those skills for the greater good of the whole Club.  You have a proven track record in as much people can see you have helped to increase the support and indeed the feel good factor around the Reserves, so why not help the main attraction ( 1st team) to increase its own fans base and goodwill.   If your offer is turned down, then fair enough, but I am sure Backie and Setch would happily embrace any offer to increase your involvement.

I don't know what the answer is Mallard Setch is putting his all into the job and is well supported by his team of managers/coaches. We have all managing, coaching staff being local the vast majority of the players local and by last years standards an acceptable league position which Setch made his target, even when not playing well the players 'put in a good shift' as Setch puts it. Maybe some supporters had expected Hungerford to play how they played and Setch did say in his last interview that the effort the lads put in on Saturday could affect last nights performance.
Very disappointing times with gates like this, what do the supporters want? I am mystified.

Its a awful situation to be in for Setch.  The worry is that if this trend of gates tumbling continues it must cast a grave doubt over what the foresight for the future is.   The people who come onto this forum seem to be 100% behind the idea of the local players being at the forefront and very much the future. It is others, it would seem who are not convinced.

Tazzy, as you know I do not always agree with all that you say on here, but let me say I have total respect for the job you and indeed your team have done in supporting the Reserves.  Would I be right in saying  that the gates at that level have Increased at the Walks while the first team gates have been very much in decline.? IF that is the case then the timing of the Reserves being fully integrated back into the Club could not have come at a better time.  Whatever you have done, marketing, PR word of mouth, People seem to have bought into.  Next season is perfect timing for you and the guys with you to move the whole thing on to the next level and bring the First team Crowds back up to a level that Setch and indeed the whole club needs.

Tazzy, I am not one to blow smoke up peoples anus, but I really feel you are the man for this job.   Hopefully You Are  Up for the task

OMG  287 turned up.  What on earth is going on ?  Something is seriously amiss.  It would seem Setch, Backie and the people involved in U18's have got things very much right on the pitch, but off the pitch things do not look so Rosy.  The worst home gate for 22 years, I guess that's back to John Gidman/Tony Godden with Dollimore as the owner.  Wasn't that the year the Club went pop as well ?

Lets hope that next Year the likes of Tazzy and his hard working fund raising team who have propped up the Reserves can bring that little bit of sparkle and knowhow into turn things around off the pitch.

Tazzy, Not so sure its exciting times, more Worrying times looking at that gate.

Have to feel for Setch and the local players.  So much positivity going forward but the locals are just not buying into it.

Just pleased to hear the fans clapping the players off this week, despite the 0-0 scoreline.  It isn't always just about goals to some people.

Wonky Posts ? Been like it all season.  I assumed it was some attacking Ploy Setch had devised to catch the away team out, when Lynn are attacking the Hospital End.   :laughcry:  Really surprised the Groundsman hasn't noticed it all season.

I see Wisbech are looking for someone to handle their marketing.

Commission only.  Would something along these lines work for Kings Lynn.    If so I c an think of the ideal candidate who would tick all the boxes.  Could be  Exciting Times ahead.

That's a credit to you and your back office  team ( even ya main man Exciting times   :worship:).  In the words of Andy Gray.   Take a Bow son, take a bow.  :laughcry:

Old Ground, New Ground, Old Fans New fans. Matters not.  What should matter is that the Clubs owners should be looking to embrace all fans. It is not as though the Club is over blessed  with fans.  With all the new feel good factor coming out of the Club is it not a shame that the difference between the two parties cannot be resolved ?  Still Buster knows best it seems and others appear to agree with him. Though Setch, to his credit has tried to resolved the issues.

It will be interesting to see what the crowd figure is like when Buster departs and new set of owners take over.

Seems crazy that Setch is disappointed by the numbers coming through the gate on one hand but is not permitted to fully engage with a sector of fans (The Trust members) on the other.  Talk about cutting your nose off.  I would have thought with The Trusts proven record of fund raising that Setch would insist on meeting with them. What next Buster telling him who and who he cannot play ?

Does Busters wife pay a fee to the club for the catering franchise as previously was the case at The Walks or is this free of charge .There's one way to raise a few extra quid for Setch.

Interesting that we have the 3rd highest income from gate receipts yet we are in the bottom 6 in terms of playing budget. Is there an official budget disclosure or is that just guess work.

Setch has done a great job this season. He and the team need the support of the fans not being booed off the pitch. I guess this type of behaviour wouldn't happen at a Reserve Team match. Are theses different fan who watch the 2nd team to those that watch the first team. Great attendance for the Reserves yesterday and a great result against promotion certs Gt Yarmouth. I cannot understand why the numbers are up for this level and down to 350 for a first team game.

How bigger increase in the budget will Setch get for next season Tazzy, will it be enough for a real promotion push. Fingers crossed
