General Discussion / Re: Curzon on Saturday

Inexpensive admission as well.   Saturday was myself, son and grandson cost for admission £52.  If the 3 of us go to Curzon Saturday the admission will be £33.  That’s a staggering 58% more expensive to watch Lynn at home than away.

How does Cleeve truly justify that ?

Take out the away fans and it’s a home gate of circa 700 Pink.  I thought those days were behind us with crowds to date averaging 4 figures.  That’s a huge drop. Hence why I used the word ‘surprise, cos you know what ?  It did surprise me 😂

Gold worked hard in the first 45, playing up top on his own with no 10 in support.   2nd half he looked very much like he was towing a trailer, so no surprise when he got hooked.

For me the stand out Lynn player was Wilson.   Looks very much like another Adam Crowther. The lad wide right ( Barnes ?) didn’t do much for me.  Worked hard but ran down a lot of blind alley’s.  Darlo had the best of the opening 25/30 mins then we got back into it and half time came to quickly.   Not sure I could see a winner coming in the 2nd half until a defender and keeper made a real c0ck -up allowing Crane to pick their pocket and score into an empty net.

Have to say the attendance of 870 was a big surprise when you factor in Darlo must have brought 150/200.

Just reading the Prog from yesterday.  Few little titbits.
New Commercial person  joins next Month from an EFL club.  Hopefully this one will stick around and do a decent job.  It’s no surprise that we seem to burn though people in this job.  I wonder why ?

Also a new supporters Club is being formed.  Is Malc Hill involved this time ?

SC is doing well on Ground advertising/Sponsoship but is disappointed with match day sponsors

Trouble at The Walks last Tuesday night during the penalty shoot out.  I wonder if that was the reason we had a big security and Police presence for the game yesterday?    Another FA hearing  and fine heading our way ?

SC in his column seemed very happy with the outcome of the out of court settlement that Aldershot are coughing up.  Words saying they will think twice before doing that again.   Hope it was money well spent for The Shots as they got pasted 5-2 yesterday and sit in a lowly 17th place

York is a fantastic place to visit.  Though not sure what the new ground is like.  Barnet…. Hmmmm not sure what their average gate is but hasn’t been great the last few years.

As for our pricing structure…. It’s not customer friendly, that’s for sure.  However it is what it is.  Gates are increasing so have to think he’s got the pricing right

For Lynn to be successful we need Gold to start finding the net again.  It would seem AL has the back line sorted and made us difficult to score against.  Now he needs to hit on something at the other end.

As for Jones making saves, surely that’s what he is there for, when called upon.  Think AL in his interview last night was basically saying the team was work in progress.  So think we should wait till the 2nd of the season to see performers move up a level.

I do wonder if the likes of Barnes and Crane are going to prove a little lightweight for the NLN.

We have to take into account we were three big players out injured last night.   On the subject of injuries is the young lad we got in from Fakenham ( Finn Whitely) still
Out injured or has he been shipped out on loan.   Also the lad Oke, who was still on contract but not wanted?

Just had a listen to AL’s post match interview.   He was suggesting that crowd last night was under declared as indeed was Saturdays.

I guess a win is a win but it does seem we are struggling to score goals at the moment but we are tight at that back

Would be awful if Worksop and their fans were allowed to travel only to arrive and the game is called off at around 7pm…..

With a further meeting tonight of the two teams would it not have made sense for both Clubs to have put out a joint statement to calm this situation down rather than each of them fanning the flames and playing the blame game.

Surely all this adverse publicity will actually deter fans from attending with the fear of further trouble kicking off again.

The stadium has a £1.6 m loan set against it , how does that work when it’s Council owned ?

Congrats to Step 4 Gorleston for being in Mondays draw after a win on Saturday.   Think they are ground sharing at The Wellesley with Yarmouth.
