Good value and shows his appreciation for the ones who are prepared to commit.  How many does the Club normally sell ?

Hopefully with a new Commercial person onboard and SC’s new money making scheme coming to fruition that should more than offset the away fans being reduced in numbers.

I guess the Chairman’s idea of hosting concerts at The Walks has gone the same way as many of his ideas ?

Was it not Paul who was suggesting a big pitch overall had been planned for the summer months, which was going to cost serious money.  Surely that can’t amount to just a new mower, courtesy of Ben  Burgess ?

Just to confirm I said there was work being done on the pitch. Didn’t mention the cost (as no idea about that) or how big the job was.

Thanks for correcting me on that point Paul.    Any idea when the work is being carried out and what they are going to do to get AL a surface to produce on ?

Was it SC who said that a lot of work was needed to get the pitch up to scratch ?

You are right … just found it.   EDP SC’s column

On the positive side, whilst in the States I found an idea and put the concept together around it, that should pay most of our deficit for future seasons, which will make life going forward so much better than it is today. I cover a lot more on this issue in today’s programme notes.

SC on his last podcast said he had seen an idea on his travels that would see any short fall covered by this.  Has anyone heard any more on what it is and if it’s been put in place ?

B&G I would suggest the club support is a steady 700 strong who will do just that and support the club through rain or shine and will pay whatever SC puts out there.   The rest will turn up to watch a successful team or for a one off big game.  So again they will pay the full ticket price.

That was situation last season so a 3% uplift for next season isn’t going to change that

So a 3.3% increase.  Nothing wrong with that.  I guess the true value of the season ticket will become apparent once the on the day admission prices are announced.  Can we assume they will increase by the same amount, pro rata ?

Some interesting ideas there put forward by the chairman with the idea, for example of being Chairman for the day.  Let’s hope they don’t make a better job of it than you, hey Stephen 🤓🧐
The ideas though are not going to appeal to your average fan I’m guessing just milking the die hards for a bit more.

Can’t see why all the financial shortfall is expected to be covered by Joe.  Surely SC will be dipping his hand in pocket as well.  Otherwise whats the point of him being there ?

Good to see some action on the transfer front.  Was Tom a regular with Halifax last year, and has he joined on a free ?

2 full backs, 2 central defenders, 3 midfielders and 2 attackers still required if seriously chasing top 6.

If the criteria is to bring in players who are better than what we have Pink then9 seems a heck of a lot.  Will Joe’s pockets run that deep ?  Unless we are looking to do it on the cheap and bring in players from a lower level who are prepared to join for £500 a week.

I guess we will soon find out.

Will be interesting to see which of our own youngster’s continue in the squad and how many step up this year from the Academy.  I guess it should start paying dividends now with a clear path to theFirst team squad.

What do others think we need to strength up for a play off push for next season?

For me we need a couple of Full backs, central defender, with legs and pace.   A Hargreaves replacement.  Maybe another striker.   Really it’s not an extensive list as we have maybe 15 still with us  from last season plus the one new signing already through the door.   So maybe another 5 to come?

1. When will we see news on  new signings?

2.  Season Ticket prices released ?

3.  Pre-season Friendlies lined up ?

4.  Fixture release date ?

5.  How are things progressing with the getting AL a decent surface to play on.

6.  The new World wide commercial Director appointment ?

7.  Anything from the Chairman about what’s happening at the Club ?
