On that pitch ?   Think there needs a serious upgrade on that surface in the summer

They certainly have to take their fair share of the blame.  So does AL though.  He picks the team, he sets them up, he dictates the game plan, he makes the substitutions.  What on Earth did he say or not say to them at the break ?

First half we out battled them in every department.  2nd half certain players started looking ‘leggy’ and looked like it was 45 mins too far for some.  The 60/40s we were winning in the first half started going the other way.  Really surprising as AL seems to pride himself on having players mega fit.   Lack of options on the bench cost us today.

Results elsewhere didn’t favour us much as one would have hoped with both Darlo and Rushall picking up 3 points.    At Half time we were on the beach for the summer by the end of the game we still are in a dog fight.

Have to say though feel for the players playing on that surface.  Not much better than a park pitch.  Players can’t trust it and always seem to want another touch.  We gave away possession cheaply all afternoon.

That’s a good point on the road.  Other results going Lynn’s way to almost seal safety now.

I would much rather hear who is going to be on the stage with SC’s concert idea this year

Good point that.  Shows how far we have come since the depressing days under Hughes.   Not a  classic but in that wind and with that pitch it probably never was going to be.  Game of very few chances with two scrappy, deflected goals.

Should be an interesting summer in terms of players kept on or released. Recruitment will be key.   That pitch could have a bearing on the players we bring in and the style of Football that is adopted.  Results have been great but can’t say the Football is that pleasing on the eye.  Still it’s a case of needs must.

Next season could be a whole new ball game.

What do any owners or investors get out of running a football Club at Non League level?  Maybe some kind of ego trip for some.

Joe must be prepared to continue to pump in some serious wonga.   We have gone from potentially going out of business in January under SC to playing at Step 3 with a full time squad under Joe.

Good test for the in form Linnets to see how they match up against the runaway leaders.   Free hit for Lynn.  Pressure is well and truly off.

Pre season he looked unfit and carrying timber.  Nothing improved by the start of the season.  Very poor recruitment by whomever.

Now when you look at the recruitment of Johnny Margetts that paints a totally different picture.  Ok at £1250 a week plus goal bonus it’s expensive, but what price to keep us in this league.  Some would say money well spent.  The Club has Joe’s money so why not spend it

We did.  Bartley on loan from Wimbledon.   Who was on recruitment last summer ?

It sure is as decent run however anything other than a win at doomed Bishop Stortford last night would have been a major surprise.

Adam Lakeland has built himself a platform to build on now for next season.  Ok the Football isn’t that pleasing on the eye but we have been spoilt in the past.   Will be an interesting summer ahead, recruitment wise.  Then I think we will see what AL’s MO is in terms of style.

We were in a hole under Hughes.  Poor appointment, but Lakeland has saved SC from further  embarrassment.   Hopefully lessons learnt and a new Dawn and infrastructure awaits next August.

A win on Tuesday will put us 8 points clear of  the team in 21st place with just 7 games left.   I would suggest we would be almost there.  A massive turn around.   Joe’s Money had certainly talked

Question is do you want winning football or Football that is pleasing on the eye ?   Trouble is at Lynn with first Cully and the Tommy we had both.    I don’t think under AL you will get football that is pleasing on the eye.

Have to give Lakeland credit though he has turned around a disaster of a Managerial appointment and shocking player recruitment in the summer.   SC has been very lucky on two fronts, one to get a Manager in to dig him out of the first hole then to have Joe come in with cash on the hip to save him from taking the Club down a big black hole.

Guest of honour ? Surely if he has propped the club up and saved it from going under then he maybe has a majority share in the Club.
