I would suggest Setch is a man of his word and not the sort of character to shake hands on deal only to walk away a few days/weeks later.

Setch agreed another year at Corby. So put a line through that name.

If Lakeland moves on which he seems to be confirming how's about Josh Coulson as the new Man at the top?
Well thought of at the Club, coming to the end of his playing days, involved already with the  Academy, locally based, a real character, knows the local scene, great experience in the game.

Worth a go, what do others think ?

Is Setch available, or has he done a deal with Corby to stay in for another season ?

Is it reduced by 30% of the original budget or 30% of the budget which was an overspend by the Chairman later in the season ?

Be interesting to know what the 30% budget equates to in £ shillings and pence.

I guess Lakeland will be sort after in Non League circles much closer to home. Be interesting to see where he ends up.

Is anyone really surprised ?  SC had his annual begging bowl with the 50k shortfall at the end of the season.  Lakeland did an ok job this season though the Football served up wasn't the most exhilarating.  He ran a 25 man full time squad.  That won't have come cheap and for a club pulling in around 1,000 fans how is that sustainable?  Factor in the outstanding 500k loan that is due to start being paid back, the picture does look black.

The Club does need a reset and needs to be sustainable. I would suggest the only other option seems to be to insolvency and take a two league drop down to step 4.  I wonder which the fans would prefer ?

Like ?  Think there are 3 southern based team coming down from the NL, so can only see them going into NLS, something has to give somewhere.   Let's not forget in the past teams like Lowestoft and Needham Market have been pushed North.

One thing that should happen is the Club lives within its means.  More outgoings than incomings is not a great business MO, in the medium to long term.   The Club needs work to work a strict budget.

So really can Lynn afford to run with a full time playing staff, full time Manager and coaching staff.  Can it  afford overnight stays.  However without all of that what level can we expect to play at ?

Then we come on to the servicing of the debt that was been run up in a failed attempt to retain  National League status.   Would an insolvency arrangement be the way forward to wipe the slate and take a 2 League drop to step 4.

Whatever is the way forward it needs to be structured to get the Club working on a break even basis.

Was looking at recent goals for.  Last 10 games we have notched just 7 times.  3 of those 7 came v  a Farsley side who were relegated and playing an a basic academy team.

Listening to Lakeland's interview of last night I thought he was being somewhat harsh to call the players he  inherited as 'crap'

Jones, Ronan, McFadden, Coulson, Crowther, Hargreaves, Ponticelli, Stephens, Hughes, Barrett.
Interestingly Josh Barrett scored 16 goals for Aldershot this season in the National League.  Shame Lakeland couldn't get a tune out of him.  How close would we have got to Brackley with his goal scoring?

He mentioned Margetts and Gold but failed to shed any light on the other striker HE signed.  Williams.  Why on earth did he waste valuable budget on a player he obviously didn't fancy ?

Adam Lakeland says he wants assurances that all is well behind the scenes at King's Lynn Town before he can commit himself to the club.

This comment was from the Norwich paper.   Did Lakeland actually say ?   I must have missed that or did he say it off screen ?

Also emotional interview with Josh Coulson.  He got quite choked up   All credit to the guy.  Heart on the sleeve time. Total respect to him.
