General Discussion / Re: Joe's visit

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water..

He's back.  Oh dear.  Lots more wonderful ideas on the horizon.  I guess  the new money spinner that SC had that was going to make us self sufficient and the summer concerts idea have now been superseded by the latest brainwaves.   Always cake tomorrow.

....and he wonders why people are suspicious of anything he says.

Seems only a short time ago we were 2nd and having a big chance to go top.

Time is now for AL to step up to the plate and justify the label of the best Manager in the League.
Looks like we should have near on a full squad to pick from come Saturday which is now looking a massive game and one we need and indeed should take 3 points from.

AL told us earlier in the season that this team will only get better.  Well now is the time to deliver that and walk the walk.

Is the general feeling now that SC has come to the end of the Road and Bal and Jo are taking full control, either by design or by default ?

Be interesting to know what the audience is with Radio Norfolk's Live coverage of a Bulk standard Lynn game.

I get it could well be a commercial benefit to the Club in airing its own show.  Let's hope the commentary is of a decent quality and not just someone who can hold a microphone.

Maybe Mark has some inside knowledge on how the new initiative will play out.

I've noticed the amount of emails  offering discounted admission prices.   Let's see how all the marketing ideas equate to extra income.

With all these discounts being offered ( £10 admission being the latest) does this mean SC can now see he got it badly wrong with th pricing structure before the start of the season ?

Would seem pointless to have two Radio commentary's of the same game surely ?  On top of that Local radio stations seem to be squeezing up their programming to be more wide spread and not so localised.   So would be no surprise to see Radio Norfolk cut live broadcasts outside of Carra Rood.

Let's hope the new guy Bal hits the ground running and proves more successful that his predecessors.  Least he comes from the right background.  So maybe has half a chance.

If the new Football Club radio broadcast means the end of Radio Norfolk at Lynn games then I'll miss Nick Bowlers commentary.  A very knowledgeable man on all things involving local football.

Early doors we were a side who were difficult to beat with a solid defence who gave sod all away.  It was the other end of the pitch we seemed to struggle after Margetts was out.  Now we seem more of a soft touch at the back with errors being more the order of the day.

Before next Saturday we could find ourselves down as low as 10th and really in no man's land.  Next two home games are massive to get things back in the hunt.

Let's not forget Adam Lakeland doesn't travel 4 ( 8?)!hours every day not to be competing at the business end of the League.

I don't buy into this idea about 'Jo'.  Think back to the start of the year where SC was travelling all over the World looking for someone to bail him and his Club out, as he didn't have the finances to carry on supporting it himself.

Since it was announced that 'Jo' was onboard we have nothing but positive's from the Chairman. No crowd funders or begging bowls out.  In fact SC has really pulled back from Social Media plus things like that laughable EDP Saturday column and those podcast's he seemed to enjoy doing.  A new Commercial Director is through the door any day now.

To me it seems like SC has learnt some tough lessons and is ticking the club over. No Drama's no ramblings coming from him and no seemingly money worries.

Will Tommy get a spot on Strictly next year ?

If we start talking about players having jobs outside of football then we start fishing in a completely different pool.

As for the blame game Manager are always quick to put out mistakes made by officials.  Like they are anything different to anyone else.  Managers are very cautious though to call out a player who has given away a goal, missed that golden chance.  To easy to shift the blame onto the officials.  They are an easy target.

Maybe with what AL was able to put on the bench yesterday ( not a game changer in sight) then where does he lay the blame for that one.?

Think Gold  has been a bit of a marmite character at Lynn.  How many goals did he score that season excluding pens ?

With his next two Clubs things didn't work out for him at a level higher.  What is his goals to games ration like this season ?

A week ago we were in with a shout of going top.  Tonight we sit 7th in the final play spot.  Tuesday could see us slip outside of the play-offs.  This League is so so tight and not much in it from top to bottom.

Two lads out of the Academy on the bench today with a goalkeeper and two defenders.  We look to be running it tight in terms of numbers.  Will that be our Achilles heel ?
