True Daz, but you need to give yourself the best opportunity to put it in the onion bag at one end and keep it out at the other.   Winning becomes a habit, as does losing.

Daz can’t see that.  AL will be watching Scarborough’s performance today.  Looking for weakness’s and seeing where there strengths are.  After a home defeat.  Confidence may take a hit or it can galvanise some teams.  Would you not agree ?

Certainly a different line up with No out and big one up top.   Looks like AL has another string to his bow in only going with 1 strikers but plenty of young legs in support.

Excellent 3 points on the Road.  I see our next opponents got beat at home today.  Never know if that’s a good or bad thing.

Pink, you are too kind. ( I think).  I’ll take I’m the voice of reason  :Sherlock:.

If we play the new lad on the right hand side as a mirror to Crane on the left then that to me leaves issues elsewhere.   At the back the middle 2/3 are not quick enough to play a high line which leaves huge gaps in the 3rds.   Plus the wide defensive players ( Crowe n Sass) won’t have the space to play in.  Can you also afford to play Gold and Margetts in that kind of system?

For me the new signing is to bolster the options and not necessarily someone who will start every week.

The reason for the travel is no one’s fault.  Lynn is situated where it is.   Could be worse look at what Needham Market have to contend with this season, that as a part time Club.

I guess things are ever evolving Pink.  Seems we have a balance of young hungry midfield players with vastly experience Central defenders and top end players.  I guess that’s a policy AL has adopted

Good to see the support for the Manager and his ambitions is continuing to be supported by Joe

Always amazes me that everything is wrong when we lose but everything is fine (assume it is as nobody talks about it) when we win......

Really it still amazes ?  Are you new to football then Paul ?  In my experience fans have always been like it, by and large.  When you win you get the plaudits.  When you lose you have to take the criticism that comes your way.    Sometimes it goes to extreme in both cases.  Finding the middle isn’t always easy as it’s a very emotional Sport.

Everything in pre season has been built up to a level where getting done at home by your local semi professional rivals is a bitter pill to swallow.

SC and Joe have given AL every advantage they can to see us have a successful season.  We are work in process for sure but we have certain players who have question marks against their name.  For example Josh Coulson.  AL is big on a proper pre season and having a team that’s at peak fitness.  Does JC tick either of those boxes yet he has started again on Monday.

Not at all. I’m saying one size doesn’t fit all and sometimes having all the benefits isn’t always enough.   Sometimes it’s down to human nature and will to win.    In the last two meeting between these teams, at the Walks the so called underdog has come out on top.   Coincidence?

The thing is you can put so much in place like, signing players on decent contracts, giving them full time training with all the benefits that come with that, overnight stays etc.  Yet it’s still 11 v 11 on the day and players who just train once a week and do a full time job can want it more or have extra motivation and end up coming out on top.

Dough I feel a lot of the key elements are there for a successful side.  Seems this is the 2nd time this season the players weren’t ‘up’ for the challenge.  AL comes across as a ‘nice guy’…. To nice maybe ?

Pink I agree with you.  Don’t know what this obsession of playing Coulson in a 3.  It’s like we are trying to find a way of getting him in the starting 11.   There is no way AL will
Play a 3/5 with Crane wide and with Margetts and Gold as a 9 and 10.   The system with a 4 and having the new loan lad sitting just in front  makes us look far more solid and more of an attacking threat

Guess two games in 48 hours was too much for us

That’s an excellent result.  Clean sheet and a hard fought win.  Onto Monday and a great opportunity to move us even further up the League.

Now where is that clutching of a handbag emoji.   Thought better of you Paul.  Still what do I know 🤷🏻‍♂️

Three mega important of course, but equally we stood up to a physical team and came out of the other side.

Like AL has said, teams are going to be afraid, very afraid when they see the names of Gold and Margetts on the team sheet

Good response to grab the 3 points tonight, with a few changes to the line up from Saturday.    I see Alfreton got a point in a ‘Desmond’ at Leamington.   Another interesting result was Marine getting stuffed 3-0 at home.  Lynn go there a Saturday.

Anyone shed some light why Buxton have played their opening 3 games at home while Farsley have had their opening 3 games away ?
