Another clean sheet.  5 on the spin now.  Looking at the fixtures January looks very interesting for us.  Teams we play that month are in 15th position or lower.  As things stand.  15 points from those games could really put us in the driving seat going into February.

Ok I know, everyone is a potential banana skin.

I’m sure I read a few months back in James White’s programme column that a new Supporters Club was being formed.  Did this in fact happen ?

As for Jo, Bal and whoever else is involved ( or not as the case may be), can the supporters of the Club notice any real difference ?   Just seems the same 5h1t, different day.   Nothing really changes.

Interesting that the Club is getting its name out there.  What with this and new pricing initiatives it seems someone is thinking outside of the box.  The question is who ? can’t be SC as he has regularly said reducing prices does nothing for his bottom line.

Horrible team to watch.  Imagine having to watch that every other week.   However, to play at this level with their limited resources has to be commended.  They find a way.   Every year they are up there  around the play-offs.  No mean feat that.

It’s not pretty but it works for them.

Good numbers there for a pre. Christmas fixture.  The Chairman can have no complaints about that figure.

Looks like this new reduced pricing offers that are being introduced are paying dividends, in terms of numbers.

I wonder is this down to the new commercial Director who SC told us was joining in November?

I don’t get this big issue about crowd sizes.  It is what it is.  So why people think we should be averaging 1500 is just a fantasy at step 2.   I have no idea of the numbers but what is the biggest average crowd we have enjoyed over say the last 20 years ?  I would suggest it was under Cully the season we gained promotion from this league to the National League?

Though it may have been higher in the National League that would have to be offset by the numbers coming from the away Teams.

Kieran, it appear you are very good at asking questions, but not so good at answering.  Still no rush.

That’s a good 3 points in what sound like horrendous conditions.    AL knows all about clean sheets and seems to have got the defensive side of our game back on track.

Anyone know what the gate was? Be interesting to see if the excellent Black Friday deal worked

Poacher turned game keeper there ?  Maybe he should have a listen back to some of the podcasts he was involved in with SC when he was on the payroll at the Club.  I guess what ever fits  the narrative at that particular time.

Just seen this on Aldershot Twitter feed.

First-Team Manager Tommy Widdrington is currently undergoing tests in hospital after being taken ill.

Tommy is stable and in good spirits, and we shall provide updates when there is anything further to share.

It’s not so much having a locally based team for the sake of it but more out of what can be afforded.  For the Club to be self sufficient players would need to be travelling a limited distance.   As has been said many times we are out on a limb in terms of location and players want extra to travel bigger distance to play.   I don’t see how we can afford a full time squad  on gates averaging 900-1000.   However that should still be able to support a decent part time squad.   Now whether that makes us a step 3 or a step 2 side is always going to be subjective.

Other teams manage to make step 2 work on a part time basis.  So with the right infrastructure it could work for Lynn as well.
