One of the few players who will demand a decent fee is Wilson.  So not surprised he is leaving

We have been turning up for games without a full complement of players on the bench.  Yet we have 4 players out on loan.  What else could that be down to, other than a money saving exercise.

Looks like the 'adviser' really earned his corn tonight.  What did he advise at 2-0 up.

There you go Jo another one to add to Bal's growing list.

Is he really the best we can get?

Is this a must win night for Joe Simpson ?  He said he is expecting a reaction. Let's hope for his sake he gets it.

Hopefully he has a full squad to pick from though I do wonder if the lad signed from Spalding,Nyahwema will be included as I understand he is leaving the Club and heading down under.

If Cleeve is still actively involved, as you suggest Upstone then where does that leave the Trust ?  Think they have said on numerous occasions that they won't be involved at the Club while SC is still there.

Is someone trying to bang both ends against the middle ?

Most Managers have a shelf life  at whatever Club and then move on to pastures new. Same as Club owners get jittery when a few results go the wrong way.
That's the World of modern day Football.

I wonder if Tommy going to Eastbourne is anything to do with a Documentary being made called 'Owning Eastbourne' ?

I think a similar thing at King's Lynn would make riveting viewing.  The relationship between the new regime and SC would making such interesting watching.

Who knows 🤷♂️😉

Uptoon as it seems you have your finger firmly on the pulse.  Did you hear a rumour about a certain John Sheridan being touted as a candidate for the Managerial position, should it become vacant???

When it says The 'Club' has decided to continue with Joe Simpson.  Who actually is the 'Club' who have made this decision?   Is it Bal or is he taking external advice as he's not sure which way to turn.   As far as I can see The 'Club' is Jo with Bal running the show in his name as CEO

Sorry to say it but think Joe got his line up wrong. First half we looked very passive as though we were waiting for it to go wrong.  The changes at the break made it a more even game.  Though we had nothing to lose and Fylde had nothing to gain by going expansive.

Like you Waljs I'm surprised Clunan got MOTM.  I know he's the skipper but I think we have better options in the squad for that role.

Interesting to see Mr Cleeve in the front seats of the Directors box. Is he becoming more involved and Bal turning to him to offer advice.  Anyone know what the Polive were doing talking to him?  Someone suggested his car had been tampered with.

Worksop is looking a very pivotal game for both the Club and Joe Simpson.

No definitely not.  Culverhouse got us to that level with a part time locally based squad.  So with a decent full time budget and with the squad we have no reasons for us not to make the play offs.

Feel the players are there so it's all about the missing link, or maybe Joe Simpson is that man. It all sits in one persons lap.

Eastbourne it is.  Aldershot Chairman comment that it's in the hands of the Solicitors.   Reap what you sow, springs to mind.

Interesting comments Vera.  I'd just like to see some evidence on how things are so much better than under the previous regime.

Why would the Club new owners not disassociate themselves with SC if he left such a mess?  Surely the last thing should have been was to invite him to have a role within the Club.  It's not a great look.

Information wise I don't see anymore engagement with the fans than we endured under SC.

With regard to Joe Simpson working on a week to week basis, how is that good for anyone ?  Is it a case of being one good victory away from getting the gig on a full time basis or one defeat and he's on his way.?

One thing we can agree on is the ill thought out idea of the DCMS loan.  That burden is here for a lot of years to come.  Was taken out to secure NL status.  That worked out well !!!

Quote from: Sam Spade on October 15, 2025, 11:17:11 AMOr, maybe, the new owner has taken on what he sees as a longer term project and that a sustainable business base is not built by just throwing money about.

As I recall it was said at the outset that Jo wasn't here for the long term.  So how do you have a long term project when you won't be there ?

It seems Bal is struggling with the short term. So I don't think we should be worrying about the midterm let alone the long term
