Just seen Lee Clark has gone from
Blyth Spartans to be replaced by ex Norwich City Defender Michael Nelson ( played under Ian Culverhouse)

Great result on the road today 4 points from 2 away games, what’s not to like.

Seems as though there was some trouble between the two sets of fans and Lynn team coach had to have a police escort out of the place.

We have a quality 18 man squad ( 20 when Fryatt n Clunan are back).   I don’t see any of that 18 not worthy of a starting place Non League.   Will rotating really weaken us ?

With games coming thick n fast over the next few weeks I can see a lot of squad rotating taking place.
Horses for Courses ( Cheltenham Festival next week), protecting players.  Call it what you will.  Wouldn’t be surprised to see 5/6 changes for tomorrow’s game from the line up that started Tuesday.

Post match IC was saying Peds really struggled through with injury the other night.  Wonder if he will be fit to start and if not I guess Bazza will be rubbed down with an oily rag and rolled out.

Just seen this on York City’s twitter feed.

York City FC
@YorkCityFC
Memo We are disappointed to report that two York City players were threatened with physical violence outside the stadium after Tuesday night’s defeat to Hereford.

We are liaising with local police.

Nick how about putting them up for auction on here  to raise funds for the pitch covering?   Certainly won’t have cost you anything Nick 😂.

If you think the auction idea is a goer, then post on here how many you have (approx) and I will start the bidding

This looks a tough one.  Hopefully Lynn will do an overnighter to give them every chance of getting something here ?

York travel to Alfreton and following two poor home results.    Could be interesting

Listening to Steve Watson’s post match comments.  He said York we’re creating loads of chances and gave 3 bad goals away by not picking up runners in the box.

Agree with you Tony.  Power is at his most effective when he has the space to run into.   Against York he gave their right back a right pasting.   Against Kiddie he wasn’t really in the game but in fairness to him we seem to find it difficult to feed the ball to him.

Be interesting to see if he starts tonight or we go narrow.

Two tough away games coming up this week.   Squad should be well rested and nearly upped to full numbers ( not sure where Clunan and Fryatt are at).

Would take 3 points from the 2 games.  York also at home tomorrow night to Hereford.

If it is only a temporary cash flow problem maybe the Chairman could suggest to the players they take a part deferred payment on their wages?

Tony didn’t SC say he had someone coming in to run the financial side ?  Surely that would include such things as budget planning, cash flow etc.

I didn’t think it was a bad idea offering a 4 match packet.  Not everyone is gonna be able to afford two games in a week, so was just suggesting a way to lighten the load and get these people to all the home games.

Every little helps, works both ways.

Seems I got that wrong.   Stephen Cleeve ( on Twitter) has put out an appeal for people to buy their tickets for the Bradford game ASAP to help with a current cash flow problem.

With all the games we have left maybe he could offer a 4 match discounted  ticket to bring in some cash quick.  I know Boston did this quite successfully, recently.

Mark (Hearle) would that be an option ?  Maybe just make it available for 7 days to get the cash in quick.

For those not on Twitter this is the Chairmans post.

It would be a huge help for those of you that are coming to the Bradford Park Avenue home game if you buy your tickets this week - would help the club’s cash flow a lot

Crickey that must have hurt the clubs cash flow going 3 months without a home game.  I guess this latest inactivity can’t have done us any favours on the cash flow front either.  Let’s be thankful for the big gates v Boston and York that should secure any problems on that front.

My guess is they will see how it drys out and get an official inspection done at lunchtime.   Fingers crossed it’s on as don’t want to see Southport tar us with the same brush as we did Gloucester.
