General Discussion / Re: Expectation
« on: November 23, 2021, 05:45:31 PM »
I was meaning Tony that it may be an easier process to consolidate at step 2 and even have a couple of seasons at that level rather than cope with the pressure of step 1 while trying to remain competitive.

If we were to find ourselves still at step 1 next season, and presuming the £500k has been  burnt through then will SC still be in a position to finance the thing ?

Good post Tony.

I hope there is a plan B in place for IF we do get relegated.  As in building the Club off the pitch to level there gives an even chance of being able to one gain promotion and then to be in a position to hold our own at Step one.

If there is no plan on how the Club is structured then we could fall through the 2nd trap door and find ourselves back at step 3.  Some I know will say thatís probably the true level for us.

We have some interesting times ahead.

With the team struggling for numbers ( who will play on the left side ?).  Then tonight could be all about damage limitation.  No chance of us parking the Bus as IC has said he is not prepared to change the way he wants his teams to play.  Which sounds a little blinkered as even the top top Coachís will adjust accordingly to who they are playing against.

I mean will Dean Smith at Norwich set up the same way against the likes of Man City as he would against Southampton ?

Shaun Dyce at Burnley has kept them in the Premier League with a robust style of direct football.  Nothing wrong with that as results have proven.  He has found a way of keeping a small club like Burnley at the top level.

I heard we are looking at a Greek striker by the name of Phosphorus.  Could be a match made in heaven with ya man Suan Veste, KES

Could really set The Walks on fire as a pairing.

Iíll get me coat.

Think there are a lot of boxes that would need ticking time get a goalscorer ( or two) in.

Money is certainly one.  Location another.  Players willing to come for a relegation battle.

Massive kick in the teeth for the team today.  Then again canít concede 3 goals and expect to win games.

I thought defensive frailties had been sorted. Thatís 9 shipped in last two games.

My source tells me he went without a fee but as a gesture of goodwill PíBoro gave Lynn a tiny 4 figure sum.

Iím sure the Chairman will clear it up in a podcast ( if he ever does another one) or in the Programme. Even might cover it in the EDP.

Could that get us a striker or two in for the remaining 5 months of the season ?

Kenny, sometimes you have to take SC at face value.  Ok I know the track record is very much against it.   We can live in hope.

Gordon I think you are forgetting about  the new head of Marketing who is dealing with the bigger picture and the local person who will look after  the smaller and more localised commercial side.

I can see at the start of season 22/23 the ground will flooded with advertising.  Match day sponsorship will be all sold out.

Big question, who was it who signed him, IC or SC ?
