Good to hear.  Who were the stand outs for you ?

Have to agree AL seems to have brought a new level of professionalism and openness on the playing side. Good that he sees his team challenging for promotion. The Squad certainly looks to have a more solid look about. Now he has to deliver on the pitch.

Interesting that AL said how much the pitch has changed in the last couple of weeks. I’m sure it will look a picture on opening day. The Litmus test will come November time.  As for a reconnect, hopefully lessons have been learned about why it disconnected in the first place.

General Discussion / Squad Numbers

I see the squad has been announced for the season with respective numbers.  21 man squad.   Two players not included, have they been loaned or released?   Oke and Chong.  Anyone shed some light on these two

It’s got to be a positive sign to see new Sponsors coming forward to get involved at the Walks.  Any money coming in means less for SC to have to put in and less likelihood of a begging bowl request.   There does seem a more proactive feel to the commercial side this season.  Does this mean a Commercial Director worth the name is finally onboard, Paul ?

Who would you suggest to play the role of Professor Plums ?

Spot on Paul good to see fresh money being pumped into the Club.  Lessens  the load  on Joe and indeed SC.   Does anyone know the anonymous sponsor of the main stand has renewed yet ?

Can we assume these new deals coming in are the results of the new International Manager that SC was advertising for a few months back?  Anyone know who it is ?

Seems like it was decent performance.  Even more so when you consider there were 4 trialists, couple of Academy lads and 2nd choice keeper in the line-up.   5-0 against a step 5 side is impressive when you consider it was a team ‘thrown’ together.

Seems the lad who scored two of the goals is to be offered a deal.   Sounds a bit of a ‘Nipster’ ( as Dilly would say).

Another friendly tonight at Soham.  Will this still be for getting minutes into legs or more getting a settle team together or will that be more for the Leiston game ?

Will be a good option from the bench, as surely stellar signing Gold and proven goalscorer Margetts will be the first choice 9 & 10?

3-2 win after being 1 down at the break.  Interestingly Michael Frew at the age of 39 scored for Stamford.

Maybe going to be a TV game/ live Streaming  ?  That’s if NLN are having live games this season.  I remember SC claiming that live streaming games at this level was the future.  He is always entertaining is SC :thanks: :laughcry:

Another friendly today at Stamford.  Think they are step 3 which is at least one step up from other Clubs we have played so far.

With all the double training sessions and games played so far the fitness levels must be getting toward where AL  wants the levels to be at.  Three weeks today when the season kicks off the starting line-up must be forming in the Managers head.
